During a difficult time, Dr. Speas and Nurse Virginia were wonderful. Very professional, compassionate and detailed about what we were experiencing and clear on how we were going to proceed with treatment. Highly recommend Blue Pearl.

I came to this pet hospital for a second opinion with Dr. Rasmussen in oncology and I also had a previous visit with Dr. Philips for a Hospice evaluation at our home. My administrative experience was all around very smooth from scheduling to check in/out process and everyone was quite friendly and welcoming. Consultations were thorough and I found both doctors to be highly knowledgeable, caring, and excellent in how they presented various options to us. So I’d just like to thank everyone for helping us navigate through this very difficult time and I will certainly be recommending your facility.

We received amazing help. Everyone treated us with compassion and care, looked after our kitten. Unfortunately Luca did not make it, but him and i will forever appreciate the care and love we received. I wouldn't have gone anywhere else.

I am a paranoid dog mom with a dog who lives to stress me out by injuring himself on the weekends. Once again I was able to get him in to blue pearl right away to see a vet and get appropriate meds and instructions to make sure he gets well. They calm me down, take good care or him, and get me headed home quickly.

I had a great experience when I had to take my reactive dog Charlie to Blue Pearl Rockville to see Dr. Lucibello. Everyone from the beginning of my visit with Charlie including the ladies at reception greeted us warmly despite Charlie’s anxious barking. Everyone was very sweet to my boy Charlie and Dr. Lucibello was also so helpful at allaying my fears and concerns regarding Charlie’s health! Such a positive experience from start to finish.

My dog had diahhrea and then developed throwing up phelgm. Our regular vet was booked up for four days. It's a shame that a customer of some years couldn't get her dog in for an emergency visit the same day. I didn't want our dog to take a turn for the worse, so I contacted Blue Pearl & they said bring her right in. We were extremely pleased with the service we received. Pippi was seen within a few minutes by the tech group. We had a consultation with the vet & were fully briefed on what was needed plus the costs involved upfront. Our dog received excellent care & we were able to bring her home after a few hours at Blue Pearl. Pippi is back to her old self. She is on a restricted diet for a few days but is doing very well. From the time we entered the front door until we took our dog home, we were very pleased. Everyone was pleasant, courteous & knowledgeable. The building is very clean, bright & modern. If I ever need emergency care again, I know who I'll turn to.

I run a dog daycare and boarding facility in Gaithersburg. On occasion we have had emergency situations for our own dogs as well as guest dogs and have used Blue Pearl multiple times over the years. They are always very friendly and I've never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to be seen. With my most recent visit, I was in and out in under an hour (maybe even under a 45 min).
Although I am not a vet, I do have a lot of experience and I always appreciate that Blue Pearl vets don't seem to try to get me to do unnecessary tests or procedures. The services are by no means inexpensive, but it's worth it when I can trust that things aren't being done unnecessarily just to add on costs.

From the initial phone call to ask if they had capacity to when my dog was discharged, the staff and doctors were kind and considerate.
I feel confident my beloved pet was well cared for before, during and after his surgery.

Avoid this place at all costs - it's a money making machine with "top of the line medical help" and smiles as they drain your wallet instead of offering good practical treatment. Instead of recognizing that it was time to let go of our pet, we racked up $7000 in costs while our pug Sophie died alone in a metal cage later that night. Go to Veterinary Emergency Group in DC for high quality and targeted treatment for your pet.

The care my dog has received at Blue Pearl has been 10/10. I have seen oncology, internal med, and surgery. My 10.5 year old boxer has been seeing this team for the last 2.5 years. Everyone has been fabulous to work with and their continued care is the reason she is in such great shape.
