I’ve been coming here to cut my hair for the past decade or so. Even now, my family and I have traveled several states (from North Carolina and New York to Maryland) to have our hair cut here. I have extremely thick and coarse hair that a lot of hair dressers have difficulty with. Before meeting Pike, I had horrible experiences cutting my hair and I was extremely nervous giving Beautiful Life Hair Salon a try. Pike was the first (and so far only) hair stylist that I have met who I completely trust with styling and cutting my hair. Thank you Pike for all the wonderful experiences in the past 10 or so years! I really recommend giving Beautiful Life Hair Salon a try :)

Hair stylist Jen is very efficient and really took care of my hair. The only issue I had is the hair washer or the lady doing the shampoo and conditioner. I already told her several times that I prefer cold water and yet, she still did it with hot water. And I think she also have long nails because I can feel my scalp being scratched instead of light massage. As far as the haircut and hair color, I can say that this salon is one of the best for me and highly recommended.Services: Hairstyling

Like any place, the person you get makes a huge difference. I have been here many times and had a variety of staff work on my hair for a variety of services. In general, every time I have been here over the years it has been good. I have had my hair dyed many times, and the dye has been gentle on my hair. Better than other hair places I have been-- so I will keep going here.

I have tried 3 hair dressers here. Go to Crystal if you want someone who is an intuitive hairdresser, not just one who went to school. She listens well and is very polite and professional. She did great assessing my hair type, where one side was thinner than the other and using her assessment, cut my hair accordingly and as requested. I'm sad I only found her after 12 years living in Maryland. But so happy I did. I always suggest carrying a visual with you for how you want your hair cut as that carries more weight than a spoken word. That's with any salon, not just here.

I won't come back again. I don't know how the barber license of the staff in this shop came from. I'm very dissatisfied. It's very unprofessional to see that a razor is used for the first hair cut

I've never had such a great makeover!! I don't remember the name of my stylist but she was so fantastic in making my face and hair look fabulous for my daughter's wedding reception. I'm Chinese-American and she was the first East Asian stylist who has put makeup on me and styled my hair. She was familiar with my facial features and how to apply the makeup so I looked beautiful, not like a clown as happened before with makeup artists who were not familiar with East Asian features. I highly recommend this salon and have told my sisters and mother about it.

I had short hair and wanted nothing but a simple trim. I told Jenny not to cut it too short. She carelessly chopped two inches off on one side and it was way too short. The two sides ended up uneven. There is no shape or style at all. She just chopped it. This place always takes credit card. But Jenny demanded cash. If you ever go to this place, stay away from Jenny.

Been coming here throughout the years and have tried out different stylists. Great service every time. With stylists you have to just try them out and stick to one person. They can only learn your preferences the more they work with you. Yesterday I had Lili who is just a sweet lady but a TOTAL HAIR GODDESS and my spirit animal. She's the older lady with purple hair ^_^ Lili really took care of me washing my hair and amazing scalp massage that almost made me cry it felt so good. I do not speak Mandarin but the staff was very helpful. I used to have a hair studio myself and as far as technique goes I was very impressed with her work. Lili was very considerate of my preferences and did not get scissor happy chopping away. Instead she offered some suggestions to achieve what I wanted.Now let's talk about pricing...What a steal! The prices of haircuts here are amazing! I've had my hair colored here before as well and they do a great job. I like that they use different products that you don't typically see in the states.If you're looking for a great salon that won't break the bank and exceptional service I highly reccommend this salon.Services: Haircut
