Hard to say who the least capable person here is. Every time I need to fill a simple prescription for my dogs eye drops I am left calling and visiting multiple times to get any result. The staff is lazy at best and provides no indication they actually care for animals whatsoever.

My baby dog is now healthy because of Dr.Yogi’s right call. My dog had been crystal in his urine for a long time, and the previous Dr never noticed that. My baby was close to having a kidney stone, but Dr.Yogi prevented this situation. I could not be more appropriate to him. A tip: walk in for an appointment. A phone call is not good.

I had two cats under the plan with them and with two that can be quite costly for a college student who has many other monthly costs and doesn’t rely on parents money, but still I knew they needed to have regular check ups and somewhere to go in case of any emergency, so I made it work even though it was tough some months with the payments. One of my cats passed away recently however and I asked to have them remove her from the plan and they said they are unable to do that even if the reason is that being that the cat is no longer alive. I have to continue paying for 4 more months for her until the one year is up apparently… They never explicitly mentioned this when I signed up for this, so that’s why I am unsatisfied with their service. Had my cat passed away in the begging when I had just started the plan, I would be stuck paying for a whole year’s worth of payments even though she would’ve been deceased and that’s just crazy to me.

There is no communication between the front staff and vets. The vet never came to talk to me about my baby after her appointment which was an appointment and not a drop off. It turned into a drop off because the vet was too busy. Then I tried to get heartworm meds from chewy, denied. Tried through them on banfeild because no other location could fill it but that one that did the test. It got rejected too. Tried calling and no one picks up.

I’ve been going to this place and over and over again have had issues with them. These are the more recent ones: I came to my appt that I scheduled online and got a confirmation email. I got there for them to tell me that I didn’t have an appt and that if you schedule it online it doesn’t count and you are suppose to call them to confirm they have it available. Also they’ve kept my pets for 5 hours during drop offs and I haven’t heard from them. I started doing scheduled appointments to avoid this inhumane assembly line process they have .Even with this they take my pet to the back room and say they will take 30-45 mins. I finally call them 1.5 hours from the appt time scheduled and the front desk has no idea on the status of my pet and the back room doesn’t either. I am fearful that they will end up hurting an animal if they continue like this.

We tried submitting this complaint but we were given the wrong contact information for the store manager: Our experience today with Dr. Jasmine Gabriel at Rockville Travilah Sq (5190) at 10066 Darnestown Rd, MD, 20850 was poor. To begin, we (owners) were given the wrong information when we booked the appointment with the front desk. We explained that our 2 dogs were boarded and now experiencing respiratory issues that could be kennel cough. The front desk explained that there was no problem, all they had available was a drop off appointment. Our dog sitter was to drop off the dogs for the appointment and pick up after work. Once at the appointment, she was made to stay, and we (the owners) were on the phone speaker because we are across the country at this time. 1. When we tried to speak to Dr. Gabriel about our pets' health: She had a negative attitude from the beginning because the owners (us) were on the phone and she thought the dog sitter was the owner. We heard Dr. Gabriel raise her voice at our sitter when she tried to hand the phone over, "Who am I speaking to? You're not the owner?" 2. When Dr. Gabriel begrudgingly apologized for the miscommunication regarding the appointment drop off, I told her to direct her apology to our sitter. Our sitter was missing work due to the wrong appointment information given. This clearly upset Dr.Gabriel because she raised her voice again, increased her negative attitude, and told us to be adults. 3. She yelled at us and exclaimed that she was the doctor there. She also began explaining the administrative process incorrectly so we asked to speak to someone else but she didn't comply. She yelled at us and said "I am the only one you can speak to!" My response was that if I called the front desk, "there's no one else to speak to?" and she said no. 4. I kindly asked her to stop with the attitude and Dr. Gabriel explained that she's just "assertive!" However, this is not an excusable reason to justify poor communication skills. Being in the military and the medical field, I have plenty of experience with assertiveness and professionalism. Unfortunately, it was clear to me that Dr. Gabriel was neither. Instead she was upset and her emotional state caused her to deliver poor customer service. Ms. Sojourne from the front desk had to take over the call because Dr. Gabriel lost her temper. ***I am not sure if I am spelling Ms. Sojourne's name correctly, and I apologize if I am not. We greatly appreciate how tactful and professional she was with our call after the negative incident with Dr. Gabriel. This was our first experience with this clinic and we don't plan on returning. We would rather use our pet wellness plan with a different provider. The purpose of this email is to prevent this unprofessional mishap from happening to anyone else. Happy Holidays! Respectfully...

I brought in my Husky for a routine teeth cleaning. My dog had an accident while recovering in the crate. When I came to pick her up, they didn't even bother cleaning her up. Just handed me my dog covered in her own urine. I came back and tried to speak to one of the receptionists but they just ignored me for the entire time. I was forced to transport my dog in my car still soaked in her pee and clean her up when I got home.Absolutely unacceptable. What kind of absolute negligence is this from a veterinary hospital where their only job is to look after animals? You better believe I'm terminating my Wellness Plan immediately.

They have managed to be awful at every part of the job. Poor communication, never getting back to me, inability to provide information, unexpected/unknown charges for things I was not informed about, hurting my pet (I heard her screaming) and the lying about it....God this place is awful.

BE AWARE! Be aware of what you are signing up. It is a 1 year commitment, you like the service or not. I tried to cancel it in the second month and they never told me it was impossible, I wait more than 1h to get my dog back. They always find exams and diseases to charge you extra and ends more expansive than private vets. And my dog always come sick. I should have believed in the reviews instead of a couple of friends. Went there to solve it civilized, but they were rude and imposed several restrictions.

We started banfield on a recommendation from a friend who took their dog to one. Our first visit she got some shots and all was fine. However they noticed the skin tag on her eye and recommended we take care of that when we have her teeth cleaned (since she will already be under), so we scheduled that visit for a few weeks later. Fast forward to the day before the appointment and they called to confirm that her 11 am still works. Which I replied with "no" because it was scheduled for 7:45am for a drop off since she has to go under..... We get her back (pup in a cone) and we get meds for 10 days. After 10 days we send a picture and it looks like it has not healed at all... Now we call them back because they said the picture doesn't help (then why tell us to send a picture in the first place.......) and that we have to go in. So I scheduled to appointment for a few days later (because this place doesn't seem to have any availability which is border line worthless for animal care!) and again said we can't drop her off in the middle of the day because we have those jobs and things. So the woman said 8am would be just fine. The day before that appointment the woman calls to confirm her 11am appointment again............! I informed her that was incorrect and she gave me attitude about dropping her off at 8am as that was only for surgery but then said "fine I guess that works" (high hopes for this at this point) so we drop her off the day of at 8am. We go to work and my wife calls around 1:30/2pm and asks if I have heard from the vet. I said no so she called them and asked for an update as she should clearly be done after 5 hours to look at an eye. They replied to her with "oh well her appointment was at 11 and she is due to be looked at soon". My wife informed her that her appointment was 100% not at 11am and even if it was that still 2 HOURS LATE!, and was told "she will most likely be done by 4pm". So at this point we are furious, we inform them that she WILL be done by 4 as thats when we will come pick her up. I get her at 4pm she is crying the second she comes out and is begging to leave. Now I know dogs hate vets, just like humans hate doctors!, so no biggie. She runs to the car and I take her home, and the very second she gets out of the car she pee's and poop's with out a sniff or a thought. Runs inside and drinks an entire bowl of water.... So it is clear that an entire damn day at the vet they provided her with no water, no bathroom breaks, no nothing other than what I can assume was sit in a cage. Banfield has to be one of the worst experiences I have had at an establishment ever and considering they care for living creatures that blows my mind. This is a scam, they do not have quality anything and it's not worth the little money you would save by going to a qualified experienced vet. However you get sucked in by the monthly price to have almost everything covered and now I am stuck paying 60 bucks a month for a year until we can cancel it. Appointments are always weeks if not months out. Have a problem or emergency? Nah you will have to wait days..... My dog a month later on the same leg as the IV (which may or may not be coincidence) is super puffed up and she can't walk on it or let us touch it. We call 6 ban fields in the area and the soonest we can be seen is Monday (it's friday) and the latest is 2 weeks..... HOW IS THIS HEALTH CARE FOR AN ANIMAL!!!!!!! If I could go back in time and cancel this crap and save my money I would in a heart beat, please do the same and save your self pain and agony of the failure of treatment for your puppy child!

I agree with previous reviews about communication at this location. Whenever I call, I am placed on hold for 10-30 minutes at a time. There is also a lack of appointment availability, as well as confusion about appointments scheduled via the Banfield app. I have two dogs with wellness plans and do not feel that the service provided at this location makes my investment worth it. If there are better locations nearby, I would love recommendations.
