I've worked with Mr Aras and his team on several projects over the years and have always been 100% satisfied with the service, quality, and timeliness. Recommend.

If I could give this wanna be jeweler a 0 star I would! Arias charges more than a professional jeweler but isn’t one. Just ask him if he can appraise jewelry. He has to have a jeweler come in to appraise your piece. Stay away from this place! He came recommended from a person I trusted. I would’nt let this crook replace my battery in my watch.

They take a few weeks for enlarged or resized a ring. They are excellent. But very slow

I had some repair work done on a piece of jewelry, I was extremely pleased with the service, quality of work, quick turnaround, and very reasonably priced. And on top of that, some of the nicest people you’ll meet. Highly recommend.

In researching places in Rockville to restring beads, this store came up. I had purchased (for $18) at a popular “antiques” mall near Charlottesville, a necklace with beautiful dark blue beads. I knew they weren’t valuable, but I loved them!Whether the gentleman who owns this store was angry, or not, he came across as angry, telling me to take it back to the dealer. At a huge mall like that, who knew the dealer? And to me, that was beside the point. As I was leaving, the woman who does the restringing was coming across the parking lot, and she calmed the waters by saying she would take it on. And she did. I picked it up today and it’s beautiful. She saved the day.Meanwhile, today I got a lecture about antiques, as if I did not know what they were. Also many harsh comments about the previous stringing. Not just from the owner, but from his sister. Frankly, I don’t think they realize how this comes across.

$25 for a watch battery to be changed. Scratched the watch band arms and now there is a scratchy surface on the battery cover where they pried open the cover. Would not recommend them and I should have researched them and read the google reviews. Will never visit them again.

Battery cover is now rough from prying it open to replace a battery. A service that cost me $26.50. Scratched up the watch band arm also. Attendant was nice but I was not please with the damage. Wish I read the reviews before going to this jeweler.

I had a "pearl emergency" when another jeweler did a lousy job restringing my pearls and I had a family wedding coming up. Leslie got the job done in two days, beautifully, and for a good price. Based on my impressions of the place, I also asked them to put new posts on my pearl earrings, as I am allergic to several metals. Again, Aras delivered, with perfect 18-kt gold posts he had to craft himself (and still charged me only his estimate, for a steal). And best of all -- I wore them all day, no itching!

What a horrible experience. I brought my 22k bangles to be mended thinking hmm interesting name, maybe they will really be familiar with middle eastern jewelry and designs. Called ahead to confirm they repair gold jewelry and came in shortly after... I presented my bangles while explaining that I had just inherited them from my mother. That she would wear them everyday until a dog bit her wrist years ago and mangled a few. Now that she's gone I would like to wear them as she did. The jeweler proceeded to lecture me on what horrible of condition these were in! How people can't treat their things this way! As if I had broken them myself! He said this soft of gold is not made for everyday wear and he even stopped selling a line because people would destroy the chains and expect him to fix them... Then after it all quoted me a hefty price. As if I would ever pay good money to someone with such disdain for my mother's memory and I. So incredibly rude! Complete opposite of any experience I expected. Few days later, I took them to a jewelry design company down the road and they reminded me the jewelry is mine and I can should wear it to remember her whenever I want. So rude. So insensitive. So wrong. Negative stars.

The wonderful appraiser I used recommended Aras Jewelers when I needed to have a ring repaired and sized. It is such an unassuming little store but do not let that fool you! Aras, the owner is there everyday. He is amazingly creative if you want to create a unique piece of jewelry.....and they can size platinum right there in their shop. I dealt with a delightful woman named Leslie whom I recommend. It was fun working with her and I must say that Leslie is extremely knowledgeable. She took great care of me. I highly recommend Aras Jewelers!

I had a ring modified to fit a larger stone. I am not sure who did the work (Aras and someone else, I think?), but it was beautiful and exactly what I wanted - in fact, it turned out better than I expected. Leslie is wonderful, so helpful and creative. I plan to return so they can help me design a necklace. Leslie and the other gentleman (So sorry, forgot his name already!) who was there when I picked up my ring were attentive to my requests. The jewelry they display in the showcases is beautiful, too.

Leslie was nothing short of honest, professional and kind! My story speaks to her character. Due to a variety of reasons (nothing against Aras), I ended up purchasing an engagement ring elsewhere. I still trusted Leslie’s expertise, though, and asked if she would take a look at the stone etc for me. She agreed and was extremely thorough in her inspection! She was unbiased with her report - even though I’m sure many other jewelers would have selfishly been tempted to advise me to return it and purchase something from their store. She has earned my trust and I would not hesitate to return for additional purchases or repairs in the future. Thank you, Leslie!!
