I went to this FedEx, and the manager, Jon, called the police on me for no reason other than being black.
This FedEx location lost my security badge, and I have been to this store plenty of times to do self-service to drop my business packages off. I came to the store at noon to ask them if there was anything I should do differently so that my business packages did not go missing, and I also had a package to drop off as well. Jon was busy with a customer, but he turned to my attention and asked if I needed help. I told him what was happening, and he looked at my current package and said it needed to be taped better and I should buy another box. He had frustration in his voice towards me, so I left the FedEx with my current package and went down the street to the FedEx in Greenbelt. The FedEx manager at the other location in Greenbelt said there was nothing wrong with my current package, and that the tape and box were perfect. After I dropped off my package, I returned to FedEx in Riverdale Park to ask them if they had seen the missing package. When I arrived, there were no customers inside, but once I walked in, John immediately said to follow me outside and called the cops on me. When the police came, they didn't know what to say, and I was not arrested because I did nothing wrong and did not make a scene.
This manager may be black, but they treat their black customers hostile and inappropriately. I should not have the police called on me just because I asked a question about my package/security badge being lost after dropping it off at their location. I am very calm and quiet, and I try not to make a scene as a very introverted person. I have been traumatized, and I am planning to sue Jon and FedEx. This could have been avoided if the manager had taken 2 minutes to show a little empathy and customer service.

The staff at this location need to be trained on customer service. I went to this location on 5/23/2024 at 2:57pm. There was no line and I walked up to the customer service desk to send out a package that had a return label already affixed on the package. The same customer service representative, told me to take my oversize box to the self-service counter and scan the package and leave it on the counter. I told him my package would not scan or fit on the counter. I had to walk back to the full-service counter after the package would not scan at the self-service counter. The representative had to scan my package and provide a receipt. Why have customer service representatives, if they provide no service and direct you to a self-service counter? He should have scanned my package the first time I brought it to the customer service counter and provided me a receipt, not direct me to a self-service machine, that does not accommodate an oversize package!

Maybe I’m just lucky? I have only had good experiences here and it’s my preferred location drop off. I have dropped off, received, and used the printers often.

In this FedEx location Manager talks like a gangster, Assistant Manager, a short black lady see the Customers like an Owl ?.
No greetings, no welcoming, no professionalism, no 3C, no 4 phrases of FedEx standard, No purple promise , No service at all.
Only good thing is “there is a good parking space”.
Beware from them , unpredictable / worst service they provide all the time.

Terrible service from a Latin person that I met is a tall, fat dark-haired man who offended me by saying that you are in the United States and you must speak Spanish, thank you for the xk he was born here but undocumented newcomers have to suffer that type of insults

These people are in their ego, even the manager. I just wanted to print something there's 2 ways to print there. They were too lazy and in their ego to print it from their computer so they pretended to not receive my email. Just silliness. Edited around 1:pm April 12th 2024

Had to return a few items, and just experienced very rude customer service. John, the rep there, speaks down on customers and is very condescending. He was rude and aggressive and you can tell he is used to treating customers poorly. I was forced to come to Fedex because this is where the shipper told me to come. Meanwhile, the service that Andrew at UPS down the street is amazing. John has little patience and I will not be revisiting this location.

Very rude manager! Not only unprofessional but also verbally abusive! They don't bother to scan the packages and get pissed when you ask them to help and do their job!

I dont think this place is worth zero star. But if you want a rude aggressive so called manager and staff to kick your box from the counter to the middle of the store and refuse to scan your package instructing you to hold a 30 lb package under the ipad attached to the desk and call police in response to you to asking them to do your job thinking you will be scared to runaway you should check them out. This is a clear example of a brand tarnishing its reputation to allow incompetent people open up a fedex office!
