Fantastic boutique motel - well decorated, clean, comfy. Lots of neat historic sites nearby. Can’t wait to return when it gets warmer!

Our meal was delicious. Alexis was our server and she was so kind and attentive. This was my birthday dinner and I contemplated going to a restaurant in DC but I am so glad that I decided to stay local. Pier 450 is a hidden gem!

This sleepy boutique Motel is hidden away in southern Maryland right on the water. The Motel has a dock and places to sit at the water's edge. There are also beautiful rolling fields around the area as you approach. It has been recently renovated and each room is reputed to have its own motif. Very modern feel to the furnishings. All accessories worked well (heat, lighting, TV, cable, WiFi, hot water). The Motel has a sister restaurant which is very luxurious, with very nice comfort food options on the menu and a comfortable bar. Great getaway and place to stay for fun or if you are working nearby!

The location was wonderful, with great views. The food was way overpriced , not cooked to order . Almost burnt , fries were like they were soaked in grease . The table waitress was awesome and was not at fault for the bad food. Just went to eat , but I won't return.Food & drinks: Overpriced food , drinks were fine .

Pier 450 is the hidden gem of Ridge MD. The warm atmosphere by the water compliments the warm welcome we received by the staff when dining here. Their food and cocktails were like no other. If you're looking for a meal that is high quality and delicious, I couldn't think of a better stop than here.

This is only for the restaurant, as we were staying at an airbnb nearby. We went today for brunch with our dog, so we sat outside. The outdoor space is very pleasant, and we would have enjoyed it much more if our dog was not so anxious. I got the steak and eggs and my wife got the salmon Benedict. Both were very tasty, and were even tastier at home when we had to box everything up because of ... the dog. Our server was fantastic, friendly, and quick about getting us to-go boxes and the check on short notice, again because of ... dog. If we're in the area again ... sans dog, we'll try to enjoy a nice meal at sunset there.Food & drinks: The food was very flavorful. The home fries with my meal were fantastic. My wife had the blueberry mocktail and it was also very tasty.

The restaurant is clearly five ⭐️ with a variety of tasty food and friendly service open from Wednesday to Sunday, but the Motel only three stars!! It seems like the owner was looking for another business opportunity to make money besides the restaurant but not thinking it through. Breakfast is *not* included, especially not on Monday and Tuesday when the restaurant is closed and you can only communicate through eMails with the owner (wonder how that's supposed to work in case of an emergency?!). So you have to drive at least 10 to 20 minutes to a different place to get breakfast and nobody seems to be responsible on the spot (lights and A/Cs of the empty rooms were running all the time and the door of one empty room stayed open all night long after the cleaners left until I closed it myself). The only other option is a coffee machine, but with just one cup left (by the way, bring your own iron should you need to iron something). All eight rooms seem to be designed with a different motive and make you feel comfortable, but only the first night since cleaning is only included upon arrival. During your stay, only the trash will be emptied. Speaking of trash, the front appears always nice with flowers and nice designed details, but if you look closer or get a life jacket for kayaking (it's free to use if you stay) out of the cabin at the beach it's all messy.Overall, too expensive for no service included!Rooms: Eight individual designed nice rooms equipped with coffee machine and hair dryer.Nearby activities: Kayaking, fishing, and swimmingSafety: It's very rural and probably you don't need to worry neither does the owner who left an empty room all night long open?!Food & drinks: The five ⭐️ star restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday, serving delicious food by friendly staff.

I absolutely loved my experience! As a first-timer I was made to feel very welcome. I brought my Dad for a Father-Daughter early dinner and he loved it, too (he suggested it!). We drove over an hour one-way and the trip was more than worth it. I love the clean, healthy gluten free options. The food is so fresh, delicious, and well-presented. After dinner Dad and I enjoyed walking around and taking in the waterfront and the garden, too. I also loved my freshly made, healthy mocktail, too! I/we will definitely be back! Highly recommend.Nearby activities: I saw kayaks for use and there’s fishing for those who want to take advantage of being on the water.Safety: The creative signage advises beautifully and gently what to be aware of when walking around the location (for example: the jellyfish warning).Walkability: The grounds facilitate exploration. I love that it invites it!Food & drinks: Healthy, farm fresh, creative and delicious options for good clean-eating that easily accommodates dietary needs.Noteworthy details: The atmosphere is lovely and inviting without being flashy or tacky. Everything is well appointed and thoughtfully placed. I love the fresh flowers and herbs grown around the grounds as well as the garden and the opportunity to sit and enjoy the land and sea away from people as well as with.

This was a fun and beautiful place to stay. Unbeatable sunsets and great food. The outdoor bar is a wonderful place to relax, have a drink and watch the sun set over the water. An osprey nest was right behind our room. Truly a great stay -- clean, cozy rooms that are artfully decorated with Starbucks & Dunkin' coffee. And if you are doing anything on the campus of St. Mary's College of Maryland, this is a 12 minute drive. The owner is lovely -- a kind, friendly and impressive lady! We'll be back.

This is our second year coming to Pier 450 to celebrate our anniversary. We love everything about Pier450! Yesterday, service was exceptional! Kathy was so accommodating in making us a fire outside and even gave us blankets to keep warm. The food was DELICIOUS! We felt welcome from start to finish! We also stayed in the motel. VERY clean and modern! Pier 450 is a gem in St Marys County.

We were visiting Southern Maryland to go to the Oyster Festival and the Quarters Motel was recommended by friends. There are only 8 rooms and each have a theme. We stayed in the LALA Land room which was quite nice - clean and relatively newly renovated. It is located right where the Potomac River meets the Chesapeake Bay.The Pier 450 restaurant is located right next door and we had dinner there one evening with friends. The food was fresh and locally sources. There is outside eating as well as a bar on the beach where you can sit around fire pits and watch the sunset. We would definitely stay at the motel again and eat at Pier 450.
