Do yourself a favor and back down around on the driveway. Too tight for a semi to turn around

I purchased a 2001 Porsche 911 (996) Carrera Cabriolet in April 2023. While my car only had 19,350 miles on the odometer, I had Ralph's Automotive Service complete a comprehensive maintenance workup on the vehicle. I was impressed most by their thoroughness and transparency throughout the entire process. They offered to have me visit their shop to inspect the worn parts and give authorization before proceeding. They also performed an IMS bearing retrofit, replaced the rear main seal, and installed a new clutch. Since these three services were completed in the same area of the engine they were able to consolidate the labor hours to save me considerable expense. I find the ownership, management, and staff to be highly ethical and professional and strongly recommend them to work on your Porsche. Many thanks to the Ralph's Automotive team for their diligence and hard work breathing new life into my dream car.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My car was disabled after I drove it there and kept outside for 7 years. When the work was "completed" I got it back with a broken windshield and interior parts missing.Services: Engine repair

I wish I had taken the negative reviews more seriously. Unauthorized work and then "broken" credit card readers is the name of the game here.Services: Car waxing

Took my car there earlier this year to get the suspension replaced with OEM strut/springs and bushing. They had my car on the lift, I was looking through the window and they didn't even look at anything. I was told they would call me back with an estimate... 7 months later I have not heard from them. Would not recommend.

I got my 05 Boxster S in 2018 and Ralph's Auto Service is my car's physician. It has gone there for the pre-purchase inspection (great condition), valve cover seal, clutch, shifter cables. They do good work at fair price. One of my shifter cables failed and I was near Porsche Silver Spring (Tischer), so I had my Boxster towed there, but I was not happy with them because they overestimated the parts, labor, and made me wait for an unnecessary part order from Germany. That was my opportunity to reevaluate and I towed my Boxster back to Ralph's. Russ got it done in a few days and delivered the car to me. Thank you, Chuck! I will not make that mistake, again.

Very unprofessional. No communication with thier customers.Deceitful.Liars.Find somewhere else to get your Porsche serviced.Dealership actually charges less for labor! If you are looking for free storage, go see them. They will store your car indoors for months and never work on it!Just be aware, if you attempt to get your vehicle back they will threaten you with trespassing charges!

Don't take your car here unless you want to get ripped off. Purchased a 1962 356 Porsche from one of their clients as the car was already at their location. Drivers door was unaligned and there was paint damage due to this. Ralphs establishment lost the ignition key. It took them 6 months to get a new key as they had it re-keyed. Chuck called to tell me I had a bill for $3000 which was originally suppose to be $1200 for the door and paint. Since it took them so long to rekey the car I had to pay for a carburetor rebuild as it sat too long and they also forwarded the cost of the rekeying to me even thought they lost the keys. When I got the car home and removed the key the entire ignition switch came out (hopefully you can see the attached video). Called Ralphs and was told they could super glue it in place. Not something I'm comfortable to do with an antique Porsche. All work was unauthorized except for the door alignment and paint. The informed me I had to pay cash to get my car as they didn't want me to stop payment on a check or dispute a credit card charge. If I did not they would begin charging me a daily storage fee.Services: General repairs & maintenance

Ralphs is the best Porsche repair in Baltimore. The work is excellent and they’re honest and priced competitively. The detail is immaculate. They did dent repair which was to perfection. I was extremely happy with the work provided. Car runs like a dream now.Services: Auto interior vacuuming

Buyer beware. Wish I had listened to the other negative reviews (Allen Gedeslat) rather than get lured in by the nice pics on their Instagram page and the scenic country drive to the shop. Came in for a $200 alignment and walked out with a $1200 bill. At no point in the process was I made aware of the "extra work" that needed to be done to my car and what those additional cost would be, just plain sticker shock. When I asked for documentation of the "broken bolts" and "improperly installed items" I was never given them. I had just inspected the car on my own lift the day of and nothing was broken or out of the ordinary. Oh and they will sell you on an alignment in Hampstead, MD...but they will then drive your car 20 miles down the road to where their actual alignment rack is located in Reisterstown and then not tell you this.I hope everyone who chooses to go here has a great experience, but don't be surprised when your experience turns into satire and the one owner (not Ralph) tries to squeeze every last buck out of you. Smoke, mirrors, and lies at every corner. And then when you confront him about the wrongdoing? Ha... prepare to be screamed at like you're the crazy one. Customer service and honesty is a 0 out of 10. Usually if I have bad experiences at places I don't write reviews and just move on and make it a lesson learned, but I wish I would have had this insider knowledge before stepping foot in their shop.Their one mechanic, Mike, is a 10/10 great and honest guy. I wish he was running the entire business. He couldn't have been more friendly and helpful where he could. Can't speak about Ralph (the OG owner) because I never talked with him. I hear he's a nice guy.And just for humor... the one owner (not Ralph) will trash talk Interstate Tire in Hunt Valley for mounting tires, which imo is one of the last reputable and honest shops in our county and asks people why they would ever take a Porsche there. Guess where Ralph's sends their tires to get mounted and balanced when they can't keep up with demand....Place is a scam. Can't believe PCA even toured this place and recommended it.Service: Steering & suspension repair
