The owner of this business is very welcoming and has been braiding my hair for years. I. have been to other shops, however they do not take the time to braid your hair as requested. This shop has great quality service. The owner is very professional and does an awesome job, everytime

Miss Al-Madina is on the first floor of the braiding shop I have been coming to her since I was a young child I am 31 years old now and she is braiding my hair and I trust her because she always makes it beautiful never had a problem she's very nice and reasonable make sure you find out that it's Miss Al Madina before you get your hair done she will get the job done and she knows how to style your hair exactly the way you want it. It's been 16 years and I still come to her to get my hair done.

This place is very unprofessional. I paid $380 total for butterfly locs. When I commented about my experience under her ig, she blocked me. They’ve refunded me $40. The locs are already sliding out. They’re coming undone and it hasn’t even been 2 weeks! The assistant and stylist are very unprofessional!!! They’re scammers, taking peoples money and can’t do hair. I will NEVER use them again. I was in a bind and had a stylist cancel on me the night before so I was desperate for an appointment. They are rude, ghetto, overpriced and under qualified. I will be reporting them!!

POLICE CALLED ON THESE PEOPLEâ—ï¸The most horrible experience I have ever had. She asked me to pay in advance. She told me I was at the right place and when she heard the real person that was supposed to do my hair coming she told me to keep quit and hide so she wouldn't see me. I immediately asked for my money when my stylist called and asked where I was I had to call the police. THEY DON'T USE REAL BRAIDING HAIR ITS VERY HARD AND SMELLS BE CAREFUL THEY WILL SWITCH YOUR HAIR And PULL YOUR HAIR OUT

These people don't care about what u want, I requested for black hair and she took IB hair color saying it matched my hair, and she didn't even tell me until I figured it out. U have to watch out when having ur hair braided; make sure u are provided with the product u want.

I went to this location on and off over the past couple of years to get feeder braids or french braids, normally I have no problems with these hairstyles ... The young lady who put my french braids in, put them in so tightly that my scalp was twisted under the braids. Go to a different salon we're the stylists care about the job they do and want to make sure that you are happy... Spend your money with a professional group of braiders who know how to braid hair without hurting you. There are several locations in the area

It was the worst hair braiding experiences I ever had in my life. At first I was happy that she was willing to take me first thing at the start of the weekend. That is usually the busiest time, now I know it was because no one else was scheduled or planning to come in. My honest opinion is that the owner seems kind. I believe that's the vibe most people get, however the experience was far from ideal. During the payment process $20 went missing, several hours after I paid her. I paid up front then later she said it wasn't right. Why didn't she mention this before and not to mention I left from home stopped at the ATM (had receipt and all) and went straight there yet somehow the ATM shorted me $20. I don't want to accuse anyone but I have a hard time believing the ATM messed up. Next issue was the lights. They were fine during the day but later when it was dark, suddenly the building power over loaded and blew out all of the lights and everyone kept braiding and saying "this keeps happening". So this was not a one time issue. Within 10 minutes the lights were back on. After everything was done I looked in the mirror. They looked okay, but I was a little irritated, because during the braiding process it felt like my soul was being weaved into the braids. That's how tight it felt, but when I looked at them overall they were neat, but fuzzy in the middle. This is after snipping with scissors and running fire cross my whole head, then hot water dipping the ends. The next day I noticed the white root hair follicles were pulling out from my scalp. That's a sign that my hair line will be thinner when I take out the braids. So my hair is tight, fuzzy and pulling out. The worse combination. My head hurt so much I spayed oil onto it and kept it wrapped. On day two the pain got worse. Much worse than I'm used to. I dealt with it because I'm used to hair loosening up by day 3. WRONG! On day 3 my scalp was bleeding. That evening I cut the braids out. A few of the braids had pieces of skin and scabs at the roots. My head hurt so bad I spayed my hair with a first aid kit cut spray. I didn't leave the house the on the forth day. After the experience settled in I realized how mad I was about the whole situation. I wanted to post flyers around the area with pictures of my scalp before and after and who did it to me. That seemed too over the top so I thought about going back to speak to the owner about what happened. I waited a few more days until it was the same day (a week later) when I knew the shop didn't have customers. I explained what happened and the first thing she said was that I came 2 weeks ago. That's incorrect. I still had my ATM receipt. She was just like it happens sometimes. I'm thinking to myself I really don't need to come back here if it's normal for your customer's scalp to bleed. Professionally braided styles typically are expected to last at least 2 weeks. I wanted her to see in person. I explained to her that she instructed a lady to do my hair who braids too tight. (the owner and her daughter finished the ends after the first lady left in the middle of my style) I was hoping something would be offered for my suffering. I was not going to ask for my money back, because there's a No Refund sign on the wall. I really was trying to be reasonable I wanted my hair to heal from all of the scabs and see if she could personally redo it in a week or so at at a discount. I wasn't asking for anything free. She said I must have scratched it which was not true. My head was not itching and it was in too much pain to even touch. I know it's a business, but her decision to was not smart because she also braided my 2 daughters hair she personally did their hair. I didn't think it was too much to ask that she not assign anyone else to do my hair and just one time give me a discount since I lost some hair and scalp. I was planning for all 3 of us to become frequent customers on her least busiest day. Now I will look elsewhere.
