This organization allows the owners of adopted animals to violate the contracts that are signed, which ensure that the animals stays indoors. Unfortunately, the contracts are not followed by the owner(s) nor are they enforced by the organization, allowing the adopted animal to be put at a greater risk for injury and death. The director gives conflicting information about ordinances and contracts, thus protecting the owner, who is allowing the pet to be in extreme weather. Despite having evidence of this happening, the director and staff defended the owner, stating that there are no ordinances to protect the pet against extreme weather and thus, the owner is not liable.

As a volunteer I was able to witness the caring and responsible management Of the operation itself. I saw people adopt pets as well as drop off those they were no longer able to care for. The dedication of the staff went far beyond the operation in Queenstown but also out into the community where they would have pet clinics and adopt the pet venues. Please keep them in mind any time you may want to donate pet products, blankets or money for their operation and on-going Vet care. Keep in mind they always need volunteers and have a thorough orientation process.

In my 2 years of living in Queen Anne County, I have been to this place 4 times. Once for a stray cat that I had found, once for a family member who unfortunately had to surrender their dog but were not able to handle the process of it emotionally, once to adopt a cat & my most recent was to adopt a dog. The whole staff is so friendly and take good care of their animals. I inquired online about a dog they had available but they were closed, they called me back before they even opened the next day and I was at the front door before they even unlocked it for the day. I will always recommend to adopt instead of shop - especially from here. Thank you for everything and Leonardo and "Ace" completed our home.

Friendly and helpful, considering adoption of a young kitty! So many cool animals and choices, I know I will find the right one for us there! Plus saw a Sheriff K9 demo as they worked with the kids at a camp! Awesome!

Severely misrepresented the dog we were interested in. Said he was friendly and loving and huggable. Many hours of messaging about our needs and needs of the dog to ensure a match. After driving over an hour with my entire family to meet what what was supposed to be a good match, we met a dog with none of the qualities stated. My kids were crying and our family is disappointed.

Was wonderful. A lady named Kayla was super helpful. It was very busy and she was very kind and helpful to me about adopting a kitten. I know it can get hectic at times but she was very patient and kind and friendly and I really appreciated it alot! I highly recommend asking for Kayla!!

I visited the shelter to inquire about volunteering. The place was clean and the cages were amazingly spacious. They have certain protocols that show compassion toward the animals. I plan to volunteer there after I take the required drug test.
