One of my kids' favorites. All types of animals to bring home: from parakeets to snakes, iguanas to guinea pigs, and of course the cats up for adoption whenever they attain some. Good staff who care about the animals and the store. My kids and I visit frequently just to look at all the animals and never have any issues. :)

It's okay. Corporate overlords have gutted the system and made it impossible to both properly run the store and care for the animals, but the staff tries the best they can. All part of the game. I recommend calling ahead if you need something specific.

Went to Petco in Prince Frederick, MD. I asked the cashier about crickets the cashier said I will send someone. I waited for over 10 mins for someone no one came so I left ended up going to PetSmart.

Stopped by to grab some snails and took a peek at the bettas… found one on its side at the bottom of its cup so I offered to take the poor guy home as he was clearly dying… they offered me a 20% discount on a dying fish. So instead of letting someone take it home and try to save it they wanted me to pay 20$ for a fish that was already dying, who they wouldn’t have made money of off anyway and most likely will just throw in the dumpster.

I go there to get Sasha her special dog food. The bag is too heavy so I have a young man help me put it in my car. He is so nice. I don't remember his name but he is always there.

Betta fish are kept in little cups. They sell fish bowls for people to keep fish in. Probably get their fish from breeding mills. Avoid Petco if you can.
