I really wish small businesses in Calvert county would catch up to current marketing know how. Although this goes against tradition. When it comes to business especially in this industry when the phone rings the person in front of you is actually not your first priority, because the person in front of you should've already had a relaxing wonderful experience they should be in no rush if all things went as planned they should be finished in plenty of time. That being said when the phone rings DO NOT put that person on hold and if you absolutely have to its got to be under 30 seconds. People are plain and simple too busy! No one even wants to call businesses in this texting work as it is. They want to make appointments online or via text. So if your lucky enough to have a client or even worse a POTENTIAL NEW client call!!! Pick up the phone and do not leave me on hold for literally 7 minutes...7 minutes is when I hung up and called the next salon on google and got my husband an appointment at a salon across the street called scalpt. They answered immediately never put me on hold for goodness sake and they got me right in and off the phone in under a minute.

I have been trying to find a good stylist in Maryland for about three years. I tried this place because of its affiliation with Aveda. Beth was my stylist, and I thought she did a pretty good job, so I wanted to go back to see if her work would be consistent. By the time I called to schedule another appointment, the person who answered the phone said Beth didn't work there anymore. I asked for an appointment with someone else on a Saturday. I don't remember the name of the person with whom the appointment was made, but it was for a Saturday (scheduled two weeks in advance) for 11 a.m. The day of the appointment, I had to rush to get there at 11:00 and walked in and sat down in a chair in front of the counter at 11:04. At this time, there was no one behind the counter, and there was a young lady giving a gentleman a haircut in the far right corner of the salon. I sat there for 20 minutes, and the girl who was working the counter passed by me twice without saying a word. Finally, the girl who was cutting hair looked in my direction and asked, "How are you?" I smiled and said "good" and kept waiting. By 11:40, no one had said anything else. At 11:45, the girl who was supposed to be working the counter was standing next to the stylist while she was still working on the gentleman's hair, and they were talking to each other. I had to interrupt their conversation to walk over to them and say, "Excuse me, but I didn't realize I would have to wait 45 minutes for an appointment, and I don't have time to wait anymore, especially since I have no idea how long it will be." The counter girl said, "Would you like to reschedule?" I said, "No, I certainly would not" and walked out. I understand that hair appointments run late sometimes, but at least have the customer service skills to acknowledge my presence in the place and the courteousness to inform me how long the wait will be. It's obvious this business is not interested in customer service, and I will not be back.

I have been following Beth around for years. She is the only hairstylist I allow to touch my hair. She is amazing with color. I get so many compliment on my color and style. She has great eye for style and what would look good on you.

This was my 4th time there and I had a terrible experience. Beth was my stylist . They have lost me as a client. I have been too many Aveda salons over the years and this is the worst by far...I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone... The owner manages this salon awful and she has terrible interpersonal skills....
