“In preparation for my 30th High School Reunion in Mississippi, I purchased and mailed a cashier's check to the caterer. The check was supposed to arrive by a Friday before the reunion; however, as of Monday it had not arrived, and after numerous calls, redirects, etc. with the USPS, the check had not even left the Maryland area. If you know anything about cashier's checks, once they are issued, no changes, reissues, etc., are supposed to happen until after 90 days had passed. The reunion committee DID NOT have the money to cover us for another check, and if the caterer did not get paid, we wouldn't have any food! Needless to say, I had a real-life crisis on my hands. Upon walking into BOA, knowing what I knew about the cashier's check, and just trying to see if anything could be done, Sheila greeted me, and once she heard my predicament, she went into action. She was honest and upfront about what she could do, and that there might not be a positive outcome afterwards. She took me into her colleague, Francis' office, and they went to work. Francis had me relay what happened, as she typed an email to their Supervisor. Once it was sent, Sheila stayed on top of things to ensure the Supervisor saw the email and had any/all information they needed to make a decision. After also seeing the emotional toll this whole ordeal was taking on me, they suggested I step away for a moment to grab a drink/bite to eat and promised to call as soon as they heard from the Supervisor. Thirty minutes later, Francis called, and it was decided that they would stop the original check and reissue. Sheila Blue and Francis Fierro, you both are true examples of going above and beyond for your customers and I am FOREVER grateful!”
