“I wouldn’t go in there,” warned an exiting customer. “It’s like during the pandemic. They don’t have anything.” The woman was exaggerating as the aisles were mainly stocked, but they were out of a few key items. Also, when asked about 7-layer dip on Super Bowl Sunday, two workers looked at me like I was an idiot and said, “We’ve never heard of that in our lives.” Such an odd grocery story.

Very nice store.Lot of nice staff. Not good thing about this store is the self check out. If something went wrong when scanning items, GOOD LUCK, you’ll stuck in there forever looking for someone to help you.Even if it says somebody is coming to assist you.Nope! You have to find that person who doesn’t stay in her post. Can’t count how many times I would find the person in customer service, not working but talking, chatting? And when you ask for help, the eyes are rolling and won’t even say a thing but just tap the machine and leave.Well, hope the manager, supervisor reads this review, try it yourself and see how annoying it is in your customer experience.

This location is super close to where I receive my PT. Parking is plentiful. It's never busy on the weekdays around 3pm. I'm still learning my way around this store as it is set up differently than my usual location. They always are fully stocked with what I come in for, though I have never done a big shop here, just essentials after my therapy. I feel HT has great sale prices. I got snow crab legs for $6.99/lb; cheaper than Aldi. I really like that I can make a quick, hassle-free stop here, then be on the Beltway before there is too much traffic.

Horrible customer service at the deli and pizza spot. I waited and no one acknowledged or asked if I wanted anything which I just wanted a sub made. I'm on time constraints and it wasn't busy lame

The short version: If you enjoy overpriced, understaffed, and poorly stocked grocery stores, this is a great place for you. This Harris Teeter is large, well-lit, and has an abundant selection of products you'd never want with a dearth of anything you might. The long version: I don't know if it's this specific Harris Teeter or just the brand in general (looking at you, Kroger), but it is not the best. Shopping here requires a sound strategy and careful planning as to which day of the week you go, at what time, and with what needs. Things go out of stock very quickly, and the items that are in stock are typically not exactly what you were after, on the cusp of expiration, or already expired. For example, if you need some sauerkraut, rest assured that there will be a bountiful selection of artichoke hearts in every conceivable quality and quantity, stocked quaintly next to the empty, single sauerkraut item that which is out of stock. Now replace sauerkraut with whatever it is you need. Tomato paste? Popcorn? Bread? Chicken? They might have one, but it is going to expire in 4 days. Rest assured they have plenty of artisanal toilet paper though (thank goodness). There's been reviews on here about the staff being unfriendly, which I've personally never experienced in the 2.5 years I've been shopping here. The staff is fine, there just aren't enough of them. That's a fairly common theme these days, though, so I don't hold it against them. Low stock was a pretty common theme, too, in the pandemic days however we are sailing into 2024 and no one else seems to have this problem. The competition (Giant) isn't any better. The bottom line, if you want to only drive to one grocery store when you do your shopping, drive a little further and just go to Safeway. They'll at least have bread.

Second time I was at Harris Teeter located at Potomac, MD.The staff at the store was as usual rude, snarky and disrespectful. The cashier Mickey was rude when I asked him a question. I wish at least around this time of the year the staff there learn to be polite and respectful. I will never ever go to that store unless the staff change their attitude towards the customers. I hope the management provides proper training to their staff to polite and respectful towards customers to attract more crowd. The store was empty as usual compare other grocery stores around that area.

This location does not support employees with mental disabilities. Staff members ignore complaints about being bullied on

I went to the grocery store today and I witnessed some disgusting behavior. There was a kid there with down syndrome being totally disrespected by the employees, and they were talking very bad to him. I don’t think I can ever give them my money ever again.

Excellent Customer Service seems to be available in every department, and considering its relatively small size, they manage to stock a very wide selection and rarely run out of anything. Only the salad bar and hot food bar run out of items quite often.

The salmon had green specks on it & there was an argument between a cashier and money handler, very bizarre : / and there was no clear lane for check out as we had a lot of produce to be scanned. We left the cart with items and would not return.

Beautiful, well maintained store. Friendly, helpful staff. It is a bit expensive though.

My favorite part of this store aside from friendly staff is the sushi bar. Their 2/$16 poke bowls are the best I've had in this area for the price. Proportions are always right and there's usually at least 2 available whenever I visit. Cheers.
