The service here is excellent. Compared to other offices in the area, the staff are kind, knowledgeable, and have excellent customer service. Eric is amazing. There could be 100 people in there, and they are still making sure each customer is greeted.

Exceptional Service at the Port Tobbacco Post office, MD
Our family of 6 visited the post office passport department, and I must commend Erik for providing an outstanding service. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere was welcoming, and Erik exhibited professionalism and efficiency.
Erik was patient and knowledgeable, guiding us through the passport application process seamlessly. He answered all our questions with clarity, ensuring we understood each step. The waiting area was well-organized, and the overall atmosphere was conducive to a smooth and stress-free experience.
Moreover, the processing time was surprisingly quick, and the attention to detail in verifying our documents was impressive. Erik demonstrated a commitment to excellence, making the typically tedious passport application process surprisingly pleasant.
We greatly appreciate the dedication and competence of Erik at this post office. His exceptional service has certainly made obtaining passports a positive and hassle-free experience for us. Thank you for setting a high standard for customer service.

Whenever I need to actually accomplish something that requires a US Post Office this is the best place to go. There is never a question they can’t answer correctly or prcoess they can't work through properly. As unorganized as the Postal Service is these days, they work it out here. The best kept secret in La Plata.

I was trying to track down a package and the postmaster Carol was not only patient but VERY helpful. Excellent customer service when it would have been so easy to brush off a phone call she instead took the time to help me sort through my issue. Thanks again!

I went in to get new passports for my three daughters, and per Eric’s advice, I ended up renewing mine as well. I have never had such a good experience with any postal worker (or any government servant). Eric was knowledgeable, polite, extremely patient with every separate person, and just overall delightful. He seemed like he was happy to be at work and was helping several customers at once pretty much the whole time. I had to come back and take care of my oldest daughter’s passport after school, and he was kind enough to keep everything waiting for her. Eric is the example of what postal workers and customer service reps in general should be like! And Carol was also polite and helpful as well. If you need to visit a post office, I recommend this one.

Eric "the passport expert" was very friendly, professional, quick and knowledgeable. He was able to assist us with the pictures and paperwork needed for our passport. I would definitely recommend and return for any future needs.

My package was not accepted because they lady did not like the wrapping used. She got all the way to payment and threw my box at me and said take it somewhere else. She acted like she owned the post office, and when she didn't accept me not appreciating her point of view, she told me to go elsewhere.What a horrible grinch working there.

Said hello waited rung the bell but the lady didn’t say anything and just stayed in the back on her phone. Therefore left and had to go to a different post office.
