After posting my review expressing disappointment with their cancellation policy, I received a call from the practice informing me that they would be waiving the cancellation fee. While I appreciate this gesture and their willingness to address the situation, the conversation took an unexpected turn.During the call, I was asked to provide new practice information so they could transfer our records. Curious about their intentions, I inquired whether they were dismissing us from the practice. To my surprise, the manager candidly admitted that, due to my negative review, they felt they could no longer provide us with the level of care we deserve.I must admit, I was taken aback by this response. As a loyal client who has always valued their services, I never intended for my review to jeopardize our relationship with the practice. It's disheartening to learn that expressing honest feedback could lead to such repercussions. While I appreciate their decision to waive the fee, I'm left feeling conflicted about the situation. On one hand, I'm grateful for their willingness to address my concerns, but on the other hand, I'm disappointed by their apparent decision to sever ties with us over a single negative review. In light of this development, I'm left pondering the importance of honest feedback and the impact it can have on businesses. Moving forward, I hope that both clients and businesses can engage in constructive dialogue to address concerns and improve services, without fear of reprisal.Overall, this experience has been a sobering reminder of the power of online reviews and the need for businesses to handle feedback with professionalism and integrity.

I want to share my experience with Poolesville Veterinary Clinic, especially regarding their cancellation policy, which left me feeling frustrated.Last Monday, my dog was in discomfort due to a torn nail, so I called Poolesville Veterinary Clinic to book an urgent appointment. They were fully booked, so I reluctantly agreed to the Wednesday slot, even though I was worried my dog might hurt himself more before then. However, to my surprise, this morning, we woke up to find out that my dog had managed to clip his own nail overnight. Recognizing that the appointment was no longer necessary, I promptly called the office to cancel.Unfortunately, I was informed that I would still be charged a $65 cancellation fee. This was disheartening because the nail was intact just 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, leaving us with no opportunity to cancel within the grace period. While I understand the importance of having policies in place, especially for managing appointments, I believe there should be flexibility in circumstances like these, where the appointment became unnecessary due to unforeseen circumstances. As a loyal client of Dr. Eeg, I have always appreciated their care and professionalism. However, this experience has left me disappointed, and I hope they reconsider their policy to better accommodate unexpected situations like this one.In summary, while I value their services, I was disappointed by the inflexible application of their cancellation policy in this instance. It's crucial for businesses to show empathy and understanding in situations beyond the client's control.

We have been clients of this clinic for almost a decade. The head vet, Dr. Eeg, is as genuine a human being as they come. He is a wonderfully pleasant man, who clearly cares about the well-being of every single pet he cares for. We know we’re in good hands every time we go. Highly recommend this practice.

PVC - care for dogs and their humans is extraordinary. This is our second time as dog owners. Our first dog passed close to 30 years ago. It feels like home, it is as if we never left!! Dr. Eeg and his staff are amazing and do everything humanly possible to make sure your pet is well cared for.

A partner in my office had friends visiting from NYC and one of their two dachshunds became quite sick. I suggested Dr Eeg at Poolesville Animal clinic. They drove from Spring Valley and were greeted with empathy and after careful diagnoses treated her over night and she was bright eyed and bushy tailed the next morning. They LOVE Dr Eeg!

Best vets we’ve ever used (and we’ve used many over the last few decades). Dr. Pete is a consummate professional & brilliant vet while also being the nicest most charming human we’ve ever met.

BEWARE of this clinic and its unethical business practices. Our Great Dane has a very serious drug-resistant staph and pseudomonas infection, requiring two different meds. We had to pay in advance for the full course of therapy, which was not a problem, although the price was extraordinary. Their supplier failed to provide them with the full supply, so they switched to another provider. They never told us there was going to be a price differential, despite having to drive there multiple times to pick up small increments of the order we had paid for in full. When the full complement of meds and supplies was delivered, they refused to give it to us until we forked over another $1,500, on top of the full payment in advance we gave them. They held our dog's life hostage until we paid them $1,500 ransom. Reprehensible behavior and I will be taking further action.

The vets and the staff at Poolesville Vet Clinic are the absolute best. We are especially thankful for all Dr. Ashley Young has done for our family over the years - she is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and has provided great care to both of our dogs since they were puppies.

First quality of overall care is good. I cannot complain about their care. I understand that you get what you pay for in some cases. That said my review is based on research at this point. The clinic has cared for 3 of my previous dogs and done a good job. They do care about your pets. The issue is they take advantage of being the small town vet and I have come to learn their pricing structure maybe fair in their minds, however finding out they are 20 - 40% higher was shocking. There are always options and living in a rural area we might only have a couple however I learned the hard way. Do your homework....

There's nobody better. A long drive is worthwhile. You and your pets will not want to go to any other .
