Moving to Bascule was the best decision for myself, my daughter and our mare. We immediately felt like part of the barn family. Everyone from the owners, trainers, barn staff, and boarders are so friendly and helpful. My mare is taken such good care of and looks fantastic! She is so happy here. My daughter and I both have learned so much from all the trainers. No matter what level the rider or horse are, they are treated with the respect, care and enthusiasm to help them learn and grow. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Bascule. I would recommend it to anyone who wants top notch facilities and instruction, professionalism, and the best care for their horse and the rider.

I have been boarding and taking lessons at Bascule for over 15 years. My horses have been well cared for and the lessons from all of the instructors have been great. Recently, I have been able to improve my riding skills, learning so much from Chris, Eliza and Bella. Each one of them is an accomplished rider and instructor who love what they do and really care.

I highly recommend Bascule Farm. First the level of customized horse care is beyond compare. The attention to detail is top shelf. They care about your and your horse’s progress. True horsemen. Instructors and trainers meet you where you are and elevate. If you like competing, there are ample opportunities. Plus it’s fun ?

Riding and boarding my horses at Bascule Farm has been a wonderful experience. Bascule’s owners and staff prioritize their clients over themselves. They cultivate riders with skill, consistency, and compassion. Though they have certainly earned the bragging rights based on their tenure and reputation in the industry, they train without ego or self-interest. Most of all, they combine decades of experience with a commitment to putting the horses first. And, to supporting riders who love their unicorns!

I’d recommend Bascule to everyone from the casual lesson rider to the serious eventer or dressage rider. I started out taking lessons on their very nice lesson horses, moved on to half leasing, and when I was ready to buy a horse, Bascule was there for me every step of the way. All of the trainers are phenomenal - each lesson I walk away feeling positive about my ride and with good homework. When my horse needed surgery, the barn staff went above and beyond to care for him. I would highly recommend Bascule for anyone who is looking for a safe, fun, and knowledgeable barn to ride at.

I do not like to write negative reviews about anybody but I need to share my experience with this farm. A few years ago I went there for learning to ride. I was a novice rider and Julie put me on a very good horse. After few weeks she said that a kid needs to have the horse and put me on a new horse. That horse was obviously abused and in a ring with 20 other horses, it was spooked by a dropping icicle. It was the only horse that dropped the rider and broke my legs in 3 parts. Julie did not come to see me there . I was in bed for six weeks with agonizing pain and lost a lot of money being out of work but she never called to see how I am. I was reached by attorneys to sue the farm but this is not in my nature. I never got on a horse again and to this day I always dream about riding again.

Bascule has been a fantastic place for my daughter to continue her riding instruction. Everyone at the barn has been warm and welcoming and my daughter loves the encouraging, direct and specific instruction that she gets from Julie. She said she learned more in one lesson with Julie than she had in a month with another trainer! We’ve heard from others that ride at Bascule that all of the trainers are excellent!

I recently moved my horse and my daughter’s horse to Bascule Farm, and we’ve been incredibly impressed with the trainers, staff, and facility. Julie has been so supportive and helped one of our horses work through some challenging training issues that we had been struggling with, and took the time to really get to know our horse and how to best help. The staff is very professional and always available to answer questions. And the community of boarders is friendly and welcoming. 100% recommend!

Hands down THE BEST place. The care and attention to the horses is exceptional, the owners, trainers, clients, and staff are all amazing. I can’t say enough about how awesome Bascule is! If you’re looking for superior instruction, decades of experience breeding and caring for horses, a strong sense of community without airs, and genuine support and encouragement of riders, regardless of one’s age and goals, this is the place. Bascule checks all the boxes and will exceed your expectations. The opportunities for young riders are amazing and any parent would be thrilled to have Andy and Carlie as role models for their kids which is clear when you meet the kids. As one of the older riders at the barn, I appreciate the quiet evening hours after work but it’s an equally enjoyable environment when the younger riders are present, which, as many know, isn’t the case everywhere. They are both engaging and helpful. The Bascule team has played a critical role in my journey back to riding after a 30 year break. I’d had mixed experiences at barns as I tried to find the right one. Andy was the only instructor to ask me about goals. Everywhere else, I was treated like an older rider who wouldn’t or shouldn’t have expectations. (Never too old!) They’ve helped me through multiple hiccups in my journey which has led me to fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning my own horse, a Bascule homebred. ? There is no place I’d rather be.
