I lived here for a little over a year and my experience was okay. This apartment has poor insulation so in the winter time, you have to blast the heat 24/7 to feel somewhat warm. I tried to block out the cold through the spaces around the door and covering the windows, still cold. My electric bill was always high! Then my upstairs neighbors let their kids run around and stomp 24/7, my lights would shake because of this. Just a nuisance to live with. I was woken up at 2 or 3 in the morning because of this. You can also hear them yelling through the floors or moments of intercourse which is very uncomfortable. The bugs were also very annoying. I had hundreds of ants coming through the cracks in my bathroom by my tub. Other than this, everything else was fine. The place looked nice, the staff was nice and I didn’t have many maintenance issues. Wouldn’t live here again tho.

The staff here is fantastic. They are very welcoming, knowledgeable and always willing to help in any way. The neighbors are friendly and it’s very quiet. I’ve been so happy since deciding to call this place home. I highly recommend it.

I could go on for hours about what it was like living at this apartment complex for the past 2 years. if you’re looking for a safe living environment, turn back now. this is not the place for you. my roommate and I were exposed to many unsafe situations in our building and around the community, as well as her car being stolen out of the parking lot right out front of our building. the leasing office is no help. multiple conversations with the property manager got us no where. we were told extra security measures would not help (extra security being cameras, because they have NONE). we were told the best they can do is “send a letter out to the apartments”, which also never happened. my roommate and I have dealt with cops and detectives at our door because a felony crime was committed right next door, we had our property damaged and never repaired even though we gave the police report to the leasing office, there was a fugitive police chase in the backyard shared area of my building, and get this! every summer we’ve lived here, our AC unit miraculously stops working and has to be replaced. 80 degrees in our apartment, we have pets, and they do not care. these people do not care about you, just your money. and once you sign, you cannot get off the lease early. we tried. for $2400 a month, you’d think we would have some basic safety measures in place or even working air conditioner.

I've been here for a little less than two months. Maintenance is fast and friendly, which was great since my unit had some maintenance issues when I first moved in like the fridge not working because it was filled with bugs of some sort. Gross, but maintenance brought me a new fridge immediately. He even helped me change lightbulbs in some of the hard to reach light fixtures, which I appreciated.I just wish the neighbors in and around my specific building were better. Most of them are fine, but the ones that aren't tend to make their issues an issue for all other residents. The office has been prompt about helping me when I bring community concerns to them. The office staff is always nice and ready to help me.I appreciate the screened in patios. My unit is a bit dark however because of where it's located. If you need a lot of sunlight, definitely consider the location of your unit.I haven't seen any pests besides the ones I found in the old fridge and your average house spiders (knock on wood). The grounds are mostly taken care of. Some people don't pick up after their dogs, though. The walls are relatively thick, but if someone is yelling or if there's a dog barking near you, you'll definitely hear it. The doors to the units are hard to slam in my opinion, but there are people who slam their door and it will shake my unit.I love the soft close drawers in my unit. I really appreciate when complexes try to anticipate common noise complaints by installing quiet appliances and hardware.I also love the electronic touch pad locks on all the doors so I don't have to carry house keys. The app to control that and the AC works and is easy to use.The dog park is nice, but I do wish they didn't use mulch since it cuts up my dog's paws if she runs really fast. It's a large space, which my dog appreciates. The trash valet is cool, though sometimes they miss my trash can but grab everyone else's on my floor, so I have to take the trash up to the dumpster near the leasing office in the morning.

I've lived here for 3 years. It's sad to say that I'm actually leaving. This by far has been the best Apt Complex I've ever lived in. The Maintenance team is prompt and accurate, Corrie the Property Manager is helpful and the property is well kept and clean. The newly interior renovation adds an even nicer touch.

SHERRI!!!!I toured the facility on a Friday at 5pm… A FRIDAY at 5PM! I’ve toured a few communities and many consultants have been tired and unenthusiastic (at 10am). During my visit, Sherri was extremely kind, knowledgeable, patient AND passionate! She knows and loves what she does. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Sherri enthusiastically showed me two units and a tour of all community amenities (which I loved). Sherri also spoke very highly of her colleagues at the sister properties (I’ve toured two of the sister properties she referenced :-) ). Overall, my visit was great! Thank you Sherri for taking time, on a Friday evening, to give me one of the best tours I’ve experienced.

Stop charging tenants for having to repaint!!!! That is cosmetic, Maryland law does not allow a landlord or rental company to hold a deposit because they have to repaint. You are only allowed to hold a deposit for damages beyond normal ware.

I’ve been at this place for 5 years and it’s now a bitter sweet moment now that I’m leaving. I want to start off by saying if I’ve been here for five years, the place obviously isn’t that bad. My favorite things about the place is that it’s extremely safe and it’s close to everything. One of my main issues was the mouse infestation on the bottom floor. After being there for 5 years it become a consistent problem after year 4. It was really bad. Also the property manger Cori is a terrible communicator when it comes to addressing issues. She’s no help and could care less. She’s extremely fake and consistently lies to tenants and pressures them to renew the lease within a certain time. Also, they charge a ridiculous fees for a bounce check. I’ve been a loyal tenant for five years never missed a payment. Even when my husband and I was out of work for two years, we still paid every single bill on time. This place does not value loyal tenants at all. We were considering upgrading to a two bedroom apartment for our baby but instead due to of the lack of care from the property management we decided to find better. I will miss some things about this place as I said leaving is very bittersweet.

My husband and I lived at this apartment for one year. It was a lovely, safe place to live close to our local jobs. However, it was very expensive and when rent went up after a year we left because it is not sustainable to live here long term unfortunately. We were sad to leave because we did enjoy our time living there. The only issue we had was that when we moved out they did charge us for paint and to clean the carpets and took it out of our deposit. We left it incredibly clean and I was initially shocked by that but they said it was standard and in our contract. We had a nice year living here but I wanted to make people aware that they do this so if they move in they do not expect to get their full deposit back.

I did not actually live here. However, the units I viewed were nicely renovated and it's a nice community. Jordyn communicated well and provided good customer service.

I am writing this review based on my experience as an applicant. I applied for a 2Br/2Ba apartment (The cranberry) using the website. The website applicationis a headache, but it is very up to date. I was easily frustrated by having to input info several times. Ease of use is about 6/10. Someone followed up with me immediately the next day (less than 24 hours). Her name is Jordyn. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. Moving from Ohio to MD, I have run into some not-so-nice people behind the phone lines more often than I can count. Jordyn is patient and seems to really be on top of things. I was asked to provide other documentation and she started things quickly and easily. Since I am out of state, I don't have pictures yet. I will update this review with the rest of my experience as an applicant. If I am approved for an apartment, I will update it then as well. So far, I anxiously wait to hear back!

Let me begin by saying I don't like apartments and I don't like sharing walls with people. I've been through a handful of townhouse rentals/apartments over the past several years. Some were okay, some were horrible. The Ashberry was wonderful. I enjoyed my time there. I didn't hear my neighbors, the floor plan was nice, the apartment itself was well maintained. I liked how well maintained the grounds were and liked the amenities (tennis courts and car wash station). I also felt safe there. I left because it was time to buy a house. The prices are higher now than when I left several months ago but I still recommend at least checking this place out!

So, to start off with, the Ashberry apartments are very nice and spacious. The bathrooms were a good size and everything was newly renovated. The screened in balconies are definitely a plus. Overall, with the exception of a noisy neighbor, we enjoyed our stay at The Ashberry. My boyfriend and I only lived here for about 10 months as we bought a home. The tennis court and the pool are very nice and good amenities, however, there are plenty of other apartment complexes that have more amenities (such as a 24 hour club house with games, bike rental, etc.)While our stay at Ashberry was very pleasant, the move out was a different story. As mentioned, we only lived here for 10 months and did not get any of our security deposit back- rather, we owed money. We were charged $213 for “apartment painting” and $30 carpet cleaning. One would think this would be a standard protocol with moving out of an apartment, however this is not the case at Ashberry. When I called the property manager, Corrie, she stated that “since we only lived here a short time, they usually do not paint each time.” And that she thought “we would have used command strips instead of nails in the wall” although it is never mentioned that we could not put nails in the wall. I am not sure why they expect that people would not decorate and put standard holes in the wall for wall hangings. Instead, I was charged an obscene amount of money for “apartment painting” for a 780 sq foot apartment. Corrie was unable to explain why I was charged this much and kept running in circles and did not provide me any proper answers. She did not seem to care about my request and just wanted the money from the security deposit. Corrie does not come off as personable and I was less than impressed with her reasoning as to why we had to pay so much money for moving out. The property manager Lauren Moore also is slow to respond as I have called twice and sent out one email already and she had yet to respond (it’s been four days)I, on the other hand, have always had pleasant experiences with Lacey and appreciated her help and how genuine she was . She was by far my favorite person in the leasing office. The pros of Ashberry are- the parking, the apartment itself is updated and a nice size, maintenance was friendly and quick to fix things, and the pool and tennis courtThe con’s- thin walls, lots of bugs in the community, we also had wasps come in our balcony as they were not screened in properly, and the move out process.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. However, whenever you move out prepare to be owing money due to their outlandish policies.*** I was told that the management team does NOT paint every time someone moves out, rather they only paint every three years. So beware if you are living here for under 36 months that they will charge you for paint. I also got charged carpet cleaning- you’d think this would be a standard practice especially during COVID, but I guess not. ***
