I have been taking advantage of online ordering with pick up since Covid. I am generally satisfied with the grocery order. My last 3 orders have been very disappointing with the produce & am considering giving Giant a try because of this. I purchased apples & everyone was mushy & had brown spots the day I picked up my order. Just purchased plums & had to throw all of them out within a day. All were rotting &!mushy. Also purchased a shrimp pasta salad & threw all of that out within a day. Taste was “off” & smelled bad. Shrimp had a weird texture. I feel like they load my orders up with bad produce that costs me a lot

Saturday morning and it was busier than weekdays, but there was no problem getting in the store, shopping and checking out. They have self service and full service. Even a couple staff to keep the carts off the lot.

I just want to give a glowing customer service review after a screw up on my end tonight. I was checking out with a decent sized order with my significant other and I put in an old account phone number. Unfortunately due to me putting in the wrong number, the entire order had to be rescanned to put it under the correct account. Thank you Renee, for taking care of us initially, Jayson, who reentered our entire order, and the manager who was on, whose name we didn't catch, for all their time and help to correct this. We appreciate it and apologies again. Thank you.

I really enjoy my local Safeway and everyone is usually very nice. Plus the meat and seafood department smell clean unlike the Arnold Safeway. But recently the produce department has been a complete train wreck! It has been low of stock on random items for a while now and more recently things have been starting to rot out on the floor. I tried buying cauliflower just yesterday and the few heads left were rotting and there was also no baby spinach left. I had to go to Giant afterwards for the produce I missed at Safeway :( I want to hopefully change this review soon if my favorite store picks up the slack in the produce department!

I wouldn’t go here, my boyfriend is black & on his way out after paying for groceries some white older lady in charge with brown hair locked my boyfriends cart & started harassing him about if he paid ? FOUR EMPLOYEES WATCHED HIM CHECK OUT & PAY!!! Two white people went out before him with out any problems? They kept questioning him? He’s been in there multiple times with out any problem? But this white lady & some younger white boy gave him hella problems on his way out. I wanna talk to someone higher up, I’m livid.

Christmas Eve ... The store was clean and organized. It was packed but there were enough employees to fill the checkouts and make everything flow. Actually had a few items other local stores were sold out of. Basically saved me a ton of time.

Literally 1 cashier max, often times I go and it's self check out only open and there's employees standing around. Could be saving customers their time. Why do that when the company can save money instead!

Their rewards system is wonderful as they also have a Safeway gas station on Mountain Rd. in Pasadena but their rewards are also transferable to any Exxon gas station for 20 cent off each gallon. They also have great deals on shopping with their Safeway App.

Updated: Lynsie was able to help me out and did not give up until the issue was resolvedOrdered delivery of groceries but they left it on the porch without knocking and everything went bad. Manager said they would refund me but did not. Tried several times to call and either no answer or got transferred several times and disconnected. Terrible customer service
