I have been asking around to get rough estimates of pricing for a certain procedure, and this is the only place I’ve contacted that refused to disclose ANY pricing information without coming in person for an appointment and paying the exam fee.

Was left with the impression that I had to earn the right to be a customer. The waiting area is very cramped. Staff was rude, arrogant, and demanding. Was required to schedule a 60 minute appointment and spent 15 of the first 20 minutes alone with my dogs. Doctor was polite and answered my questions.

I have pet plans for my dogs and have been using Lake Shore for almost one year. They are attentive and every vet we have seen has been amazing. The vets get on the floor with our dogs and really check them out. The techs and front desk staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Lake Shore!

Took my grand dog there for his first puppy checkup for my daughter, who had to work. All staff, from receptionist to the Veterinarian and tech were helpful and professional. A good visit for Boh...except for his vaccine. He didn't like that, but got lots of loving and treats to make him happy.

I’ve been going there for years and even referred my parents with their dogs for years. At first, (when they first opened) it seemed to be very nice, and also in a convenient location for us. Thank goodness I don’t have any serious health concerns with my dogs. We would see them for random visits, shots, maybe an ear infection, nail clipping etc. We could always get in within an acceptable time frame, but now, the place runs more like an assembly line. The staff is rude (some worse than others), they don’t care about the animal only your money. I’ve called for an appointment to address an ear infection- next available appointment -10 days! Ummm NO! My dogs ears are infected! Then they used to charge $75 extra to see you on the same day! How awful? Now, I believe you are allowed 2 same day apps a year before you have to pay the $75 fee- they have become so greedy, save your time. This place is all about volume and money they don’t care if your dog is sick or uncomfortable, they only want quick money. The doctor we saw this week was one I hadn’t seen before, she was a joke! I talked to her about my dog’s anxiety and if there was a RX she could provide? My boy has very well controlled epilepsy (treats with an amazing neurologist in Bowie for this). I spoke to the neurologist about getting him on something for his anxiety and he advised me to follow up with my regular vet for this because he only needs to see my dog once a year to follow his epilepsy now, and he’s rather far away- AND he’s a specialist. He’s tending to animals with severe neurological problems. Sure he could charge me specialist rates, make me run back and forth to Bowie for anxiety but anxiety in dogs is a common issue an should be able to be handled by your regular vet. NOPE! So I’m thinking oh great, here we go again, nothing is ever nice and easy there. So when I asked this doctor about helping with the anxiety and that the neurologist recommended going through my regular vet for this she said, “ I’m not going to treat his anxiety, I don’t know what medicines will interfere with his seizure meds, I mean I could go look it up, but your neurologist is a board certified neurologist. I’m going to give them a call to see why they would tell you that” I said, “ok, please do call”. I mean I’m not the doctor, but like me, we assumed that the regular vet could easily handle this one, right?! Apparently not! So she was either not capable, or thought I was lying- Anyway, this was the last time I will ever go in there with any of my three dogs! I’ve been questioned like a criminal by their staff when I called in for their flee and tick pills, only to get a call back when I said I was going to post a review. The manager called back, acknowledged the lack of professionalism by the receptionist and had my medication ready. The staff, especially one, loves to say no! She is just that type of person. FINALLY, Pasadena is a small town, you must be careful of what you say and to who because everyone knows everyone. Well I’m at a restaurant having dinner and run into a person who knows someone who works there and further went on to say that the staff “hates when my dogs come in” And that “they think they are annoying and difficult”! No, I’m sorry that would be called anxiousness and sensing your lack of care for them.Well, can’t say I didn’t give many chances to this money hungry, try to sell you everything under the sun, but not really help your dogs wanna be vet. I’ve talked to a lot of people, and everyone says the same thing- if you don’t mind waiting 10 days for an apartment, and or your dog has simple little things that even you can diagnose, but can’t write a rx- this place is ok, because it’s convenient. But if you need anything else, even an anxiety issue, don’t waste your time! (Oh by the way she told me to put some peanut butter in a ball when I leave) I’m like lady, I have three dogs here- I’m sure that would have had an excellent turnout if I have just one a peanut butter ball! How about you be a confident doctor and have compassion for my anxious boy.

I bring my cat and my dog here, they have amazing staff that show care and compassion every time we visit !! I have been to other veterinarians and Lake Shore has by far provided the best care with amazing staff !! You will love them too, I won’t trust my pets care to anyone else
