“Friendly staff and was able to get a better price here than any other towing company around (and I called every one).I only have a few somewhat negative things to say, which is why I am only giving 4-stars.1) The person I spoke with on the phone was well aware of the situation and the position/location of what I needed towed, however when the driver showed up, he seemed surprised and unaware of what needed to be done. It seems there was a cutoff of communication between the front office and the drivers.2) I really didn't mind, but I had to put in quite a bit of legwork myself. From attaching cables, operating the winch, to guiding the driver on using the right angles to maneuver it onto the truck.3) They gave me a bit of a discount, and although someone else paid for the service and any tips, the driver seemed upset that I didn't give him anything extra. While I usually tip tow drivers, I'm usually the one paying for it. And since I wasn't paying, and don't know how much the person who was gave the driver on top of the service fees, I don't think it was appropriate for him to give me an attitude for not giving him more money. Especially since I did about half the work myself.Overall, it was a good service though and I was capable of doing what labor was required at the time, so besides my few minor complaints, I do recommend Oakleigh Towing above the other tow companies in the area.”

“The shop repaired my truck in June. The receptionist didn't tell me the job wasn't completed until I arrived. They claimed new Mercedes parts were on backorder for six months. I was pissed!

I followed up three months later by email; there was no response. Then I called. The receptionist had me on hold for 15 minutes. When I hung up and called back, the phone kept going to voicemail. I had time that day, so I drove up there. I asked the receptionist, who wasn't busy, to speak to the manager.

Rob Gibson, the general manager, informed me that they're under new management and hiring new people. He apologized for the delay and reordered the parts. Monday morning, the pairs were put on in less than an hour. I am writing this review to thank Rob (these stars are for you!) and to let everyone know this place is under new management. With Rob's leadership, hopefully, things will change for the better.”
