It was a great surprise to see an actual bookstore. It was even better when we found out it was black owned and a majority if not all of the books were written by black authors. One suggestion to the owner... They offer coffee and tea like most bookstores do, having a table or 2 in the store would be perfect to sit and enjoy your drink, especially when it's cold outside!

A bookstore with only black authors is something every city should have ? the staff were warm and helpful, plus there's a small coffee/tea shop inside.

Excited to visit a black owned bookstore during my trip. The staff was very helpful. I purchased a book I’ve been wanting to read and I’m happy with the experience.

If you want a book, good customer service or a refund DONT BUY AT THIS STORE!!! I purchased a book back in September and it is now almost January and they are still giving me the run around about my purchase. This is why we don't support Black Owned Businesses!!!

Absolutely fabulous Black-owned bookstore near the harbor, definitely worth a visit if you are in National Harbor, MD. Great selection across so many genres including poetry, fiction, biographies, history, LGBTQ, and children's books which is my favorite. Puzzles, decals, mugs, too. Staff was awesome. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous bookstore, not so friendly staff. More of a coffee shop than an actual bookstore. After entering and greeting them first with no response I needed help and the gentleman simple shook his head instead of responding..from what I read on other reviews the bookstore itself is very indeed nice and coffee is great, book selection is very limited. Customer service is in much need of improvement based on the very emptiness of the store, hope to see this store thrive.

If someone not in the region buys you a gift certificate for a black owned local bookstore because they know you love to read, make sure they know you can’t use it in-store locally and you’ll have to pay for shipping (and you live nearby both brick and mortar stores). What a disappointment! And a horrible business model!

Very eye-opening, great titles in every genre, and peaceful vibes inside. I love how no one bothers you as you get a sneak peek lol. It's great to see black publishing in such abundance.

I was in book heaven... Not only did they offer books from past authors, but they also offered updated best-selling books for you & your family members of all ages!!! Will always visit whenever I come to the DC/Maryland area!!! Plus, it's on the Harbor! Very good, nice customer services as well!
