The bookstore: ambiance, product, and overall attractive quality was 5 star!! Customer service: 1.5, lack of care about the customer, zero friendliness, arrogant but not in a good way.
Me giving you my hard earned money isn’t you doing me a favor. This African- American man’s low energy and entitled attitude put a damper on my excitement at being in a black book store! What does a good vibe cost you, my guy? Friendliness cost you something from your soul, bruh? Like you were mad rude and it was completely unnecessary.
If you don’t like people, find you a job with plants or animals. Cause you were mad rude and quite disrespectful. You literally silenced me with your index finger. Doing that to me last year would have been a problem! Thank God for therapy and knowledge that some folks just are miserable beings. Sad but true. Do better sir.

I went in for a cup of coffee. The guy behind the counter decided to pick up the phone and start a conversation. The place wasn't busy. I stood there for about 5 minutes. He never acknowledged that I was there. Racist? Maybe.

I've never been to their storefront but have enjoyed buying from their online shop. They have a great selection and I've found lots of great novels in addition to non-fiction books. They've stocked everything I've been online to look for. Online ordering is easy and they ship out quickly.

I love visiting this book store when I’m in the area. It’s in walking distance so I arrive with no “weights” and ALWAYS leave with mugs, books, pens and knowledge as I get my steps in. I do my holiday shopping here because I share my likes with others. The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable about their business. Kudos !!!!

I was there a few Saturdays ago. The lil young lady who works there was more than just an employee. I was looking for books to recommend for teen males and she recommended a few off the top of her head. She was helpful in general.. and OMG, the coffee here is TOP TIER!! It could do with an additional table for 3 but aside from that, there is more than enough to keep ya busy here at this lovely store. This business is well-run in all observable categories! Congrats to you for setting the bar!!

We had a wonderful experience at this location during our spring break last week. The sales associate was phenomenal. She was patient and suggested some great books for myself and each of my children. We will definitely be back!

This place is a whole vibe! I typically order from their site because I live in AZ, but I came to MD for work and went into the store. I love that it’s black owned and they only carry books by black authors. The prices are the same as Barnes and Noble and they have a wonderful selection. They also have a little coffee shop inside.
