Thank you for a wonderful first-time stay! The personal attention that hostess JoAnn gave us during our two days at the Inn was much appreciated. We hated to leave and wish her, Scott and Jeanne the very best.Rooms: Comfy and homey.Nearby activities: Oxford Bellevue ferry about a half mile away. Pickleball /tennis courts across from the Inn in the town park. Two free level 2 EV chargers at the park. Beautiful views across the river along the Strand.Safety: Few cars on the streets. 25mph. Sidewalks are on both sides of the main street through town.Walkability: Everything is close enough to consider walking to. It’s “eye candy” all the way.Noteworthy details: Outstanding personal attention.

Really friendly and accommodating host, tasty Italian food (eggplant rollatini was fabulous), good wine, and the bar was fun later in the evening. Location is so nice, with the little village within walking distance. Beautiful charming homes to walk past, everyone friendly in the town. So relaxing - really enjoyed it.

So lucky to have been able to spend a family weekend at the Oxford Inn and Pope's Tavern. From the moment you arrive you are greeted by kind employees and great food and drink. The owners are the kindest of people and you can tell they hire only those like them. Unlike most bed and breakfast establishments, the rooms were private, quiet and comfortable. The food was fantastic from top to bottom and there was not one dish ordered that I wouldn't enjoy again. If you are looking for a great place to make memories, enjoy great food and explore quaint towns, this is definitely the place to be. We can't wait to be back. We have already recommended it to many!

I stayed here this past weekend, and had a very pleasant experience. The owner is very kind and helpful. The only complaint I have is the lighting and lack of mirrors in the room. We were staying for a wedding, and it was a little challenging to do my makeup with just the bathroom mirror which was small, as well as the poor lighting in the bathroom. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Had such a wonderful stay. The Inn is charming, my room was quiet and delightful with a really comfortable bed, the owners and staff were so genuinely welcoming and kind, the breakfasts were so delicious that it made a great start to the day, and the town of Oxford itself is one of the loveliest towns I've ever seen. As a solo traveler I felt especially at ease and welcome. As other reviewers have said, I wish I could give MORE than five stars. Stay here if you go to Oxford--in fact, I'd go to Oxford again JUST to stay here. One of the best inn/hotel experiences I've ever had. Thanks so much.

Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! Their homemade breakfast was delicious. The owners and staff were so friendly. They even offered to drive us to a restaurant that was a mile up the road. You don't get that anywhere anymore. If you are looking for a place in the area to stay, stay here. You will not regret it.Walkability: The restaurants were so close. You could walk there. There were people walking everywhere.Food & drinks: Awesome. Had a great wine selection and their homemade breakfast was beyond words.

What an absolute disaster! My family and I came into town for my grandmother’s funeral my toddler daughter and I stayed at the Inn because we needed a separate place to stay with all the friends and family coming into town we hoped to have a quiet place to escape … BOY was I wrong this place caused SO much more pain stress and anxiety along with police being called and termination of our stay because of a ESA animal so NO I’ll never step foot in this establishment again NO Thank you!

Very nice inn. Loved the old charm of the place. The inn keepers work very hard and were very attentive. We will definitely be back.

My stay here is always wonderful. Scott and Jeanne are great people. They are always friendly and accommodating. I work early, so unfortunately, have never had the benefits of the full breakfast. Scott always has something for me. His scones are outstanding.Tomorrow he has a cinnamon roll for me. I look forward to it.

The dining experience was superb. The ceasar salad was best ever. Escargot with a light lemon flavor, oh yeah. Homemade pasta was light and flavorful. The veal saltimbocca was so good, sage flavored with a super Tuscan wine, Salute!!

If you are lucky enough to experience Oxford Maryland and need a place to stay, look no further than Oxford Inn. The husband and wife owners are welcoming and handle all check-ins. They were flexible when we missed check in (they also run the attached restaurant and check in ends when dinner service begins), but Jeanne checked us in and walked us to our room without making us feel like we missed check-in at all. The rooms are uniquely decorated and cozy (we stayed in the Waverly) with a private bathroom. We loved the in-room Keurig and found the furniture to be beautiful and different. We appreciated the lack of television in the room too (we normally don't watch TV on these trips anyway and we were happy to have the extra surface space). Breakfast is served in the adjoining restaurant and is fantastic. We ate the full breakfast on the weekend, and chose the Chef's Choice option each time. We were not disappointed! We definitely plan to stay here again and hopefully will have time to eat dinner in the restaurant (Pope's Tavern) as well.
