So I was sent here by Avery Auto Glass. But at Sam's appointed because I paid a lot of money to get an oil leak and come to find out cause another problem that my vehicle would not start until a couple of tries I put new batteries and I put a new key fob battery and went and got a new key spent more money than I needed to and come to find out I still have the same problem I wouldn't go here if I were you.

The exhaust on my car started making a lot of noise. McDowell's quickly diagnosed the problem, explained my options, and did the repair within a day for a fair price. I was back on the road in time to meet my schedule. I will happily use McDowell's for auto work again!

I was told by a Winchester VA. repair shop that I had to have my Lower Tie rod ends replaced and both outer ball joints on my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was sent to Jeff because something didn't sound right from this "Inspection Failure" from Winchester VA. Turned out the Jeep only needed Outer Ball joints and BOOTS for the tie rod ends. The price was incredible with McDowell's, in Winchester VA. they wanted over $1400.00 for the repairs. Jeff replaced the ball joints and put new boots on the tie rod ends, and much to my amazement less than 1/2 the cost of Winchester and it was repaired beyond my expectations. When I picked up my Jeep it handled shockingly incredible. No more vibration in the front end, shaking at 70 MPH, pulling slightly to the right. I thought that was just the nature of my Jeep. I highly recommend Jeff to everyone. He's a lifesaver. Thank you.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I drove all the way from Colorado to Maryland, so my vehicle was due for an oil change. After the service received I know that MACS is the only place I’ll take my vehicles from here on out. Jeff was highly recommended by long time friends, so I contacted him to discuss the issues. I am not local to him, but after discussing the problems scheduled the repairs. His original budget was very fair and in the end there were a few things he determined were not needed. Being a true professional and unlike many shops today he did not do unnecessary work. I drove 2 hours each way because I needed to know the work would be done right. He surpassed all expectations, and well under original estimate. You can not ask for better service. When you need work done go to Jeff ... it will be done right and at fair price.
