I had lived at Painters Mills apartments for 31/2 years. The maintenance staff were wonderful, however, the office personnel were useless. A few months prior to my moving out, they began billing me for bye, even though I was paying bge directly. I was forced to pay them in addition to bge. It took a couple of months for them to reimburse a portion of the overpayment. Now, that I have moved out they found questionable reasons to keep my security deposit. I have called several time to have them clarify, however, no one will respond and of course the manager is never available . Very disappointed!!!!!!

I have lived here for many, many years. Although time has passed and Leasing Managers, procedures, etc. have changed. I still am comfortable and at home in this community.
In my opinion, if there are any negative comments made, in MOST cases, it is most likely, from the short coming of the complainant.
Whenever there are issues; I immediately contact the office to address communal issues, and it is handled accordingly. "A squeaky wheel gets oiled".
If my views change, I will not hesitate to state facts about my experience.

The experience is great I do not have any complaints to say. I just love my apartment and am glad that I made this move here. The staff here are wonderful and very helpful to my husband and myself. Again I love this community

We have been here a month and really like this place so far.The apartments are nicely sized, clean, and no bugs.It's quiet and cozy with a low key vibe.We had a few maintenance issues at first but they were taken care of fast! Terrell the new property manager is nice and super helpful. He was very accommodating getting us in here. Looking forward to making this our home.update: Two months in and still loving it! We really appreciate the quiet atmosphere.

I'm not a tenant of this place but as read some of the statements of nothing but let downs an staff being unprofessional and management not living up to there word I myself wouldn't recommend anyone moving in to this place and management always post the same statement if you look closely at what they say just read for yourself

IF YOU MOVE INTO PAINTERS MILL APARTMENTS, MAKE SURE YOU TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR APARTMENT WHEN YOU MOVE IN. WHEN YOU MOVE OUT, CLEAN IT, TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING IN THAT APARTMENT BECAUSE MANAGEMENT WILL FIND SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE APARTMENT SO THEY WON'T RETURN YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT. I WILL NEVER LIVE UNDER APARTMENT SERVICES AGAIN. PAINTERS MILLS ARE THIEVES.

Went to view an apartment at this complex and was told it was based on income and not credit. The money that I make monthly I should have been able to secure an apartment at this complex. Instead I was told based on my credit even with a double security deposit I did not qualify. If it was based on my salary and not my credit why was my application denied? The first thing I stated prior to doing my application is my credit is not the best, but I was assured it was not based on credit. The person I spoke to was Kelly she was excellent. But my file was then turned over to the property manager and it was a totally different outcome once she was involved. I was very up front about my credit issues and the fact I was willing to put down double security deposit to secure the property, the manager made me feel like because another party was interested in the unit, I was denied and the other party was given the apartment that I was assured should not be a problem for me to get. Now as it stands I have a denial on my record and no apartment. If it is based on credit then that should be stated up front because I was honest about my credit. And prior to this I had no denials related to trying to get a place. I’m very disappointed with this and I feel that either the information I was given was incorrect or the manager just wanted to rent it to another party. Not professional at all.

High Hope's of moving here from New York, we got a tour of the model apartment and nothing matches the websites photos. Appliances , outlets and circuit breaker panel are way outdated. Paint is peeling from doors jam, paint bubbles in one bedroom. Cabinet shelves painted and is sticking to cans , cups, plates, as well as packaged food.Its supposed to be cable ready and the internet cable was cut prior to us moving in and stuck back into the wall while the cable jack cover was just screwed Into wall with nothing connected to it. Definitely not staying here to long, and I would not recommend this complex to anyone.

On march 23rd I called to check the availability on a 2 bedroom apartment for me and my wife, Janell Jackson was very nice with us and gave us all the information we need to apply. The next day we applied and Mandi D responded to our application in a EXTREMELY rude way. Every single review here about Mandi D is correct, she is very unprofessional. I REALLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENTS AT ALL to anyone just because of her attitude; don't even bother to apply.

Please do not move here the lady in the leasing office by the the name of Mandy is extremely rude. This was a mix up with the switch in my BGE she claimed they notified me I expressed to her that I didn’t get a notice and that I would fix the issue. She threatened me with eviction instead of taking my acknowledgment of the situation. Since I have moved in she has been extremely difficult and rude. She proceeded to hang up the phone and is always nasty. The place itself is pretty nice but to live some where and havd property managers not allow any type of grace is not what you want when dealing with a pandemic.

Me and my husband have been tenants for 2 years everything was great until recently we transferred to a bigger unit and paid all the fees we were told to until this month come around to be told we have to pay almost $3000 for a glitch on their end and when you call the office you can never get an answer or when you do they have a nasty attitude. And please don’t call corporate because they never return your calls, no one is never wrong let them tell it. We’ve also had the ceiling in the bathroom fall in whole bathroom was soaked. These people are a joke. Wouldn’t recommend.

I definitely would not recommend painters mill apts to anyone ever under this management , I have had to place multiple complaints this year for bugs and mice and Mandy in the office attitude toward my work order complaints has been worn on her sleeve.I voiced my complaints directly to her but after my experience on Saturday feel that anyone considering moving here should be aware of the potential of getting on Mandys bad side . On Saturday I stepped onto my patio to check the weather , and by accident the security bar dropped and I locked my self out . Knocked on my neighbor door to call the management office , explained to Mandy I am locked out with no coat , no shoe , no car keys and no phone can Maintence please bring my key, she said no I need to come and pick it up , after a heated discussion she hung up on me . I called back to tell her the same neighbor who’s phone I am calling on will be nice enough to walk around and pick my key up for me , again I have to No Coat, No Shoes , No Keys And no Phone . She refused , not going to pretend I am angry at this point , considering the fact that she locks that office to put notices in residents door , she has locked the office to give apt tours and locked that office for lunch and personal runs .but could not rescue or respond to a almost 6 year resident locked out in the elements in December that not business that’s PERSONAL . She suggested I wait until 6pm when the office closes and call emergency maintenance. How mean and awful and inconsiderate is that from your management office . A friend finally drops by because I had not responded to her call or text to find out if anything was wrong and drove me to the leasing office and yep Mandy gave me another hard time just to prove she could and tells me I should be wearing a MASK , I am standing in front of her with no shoe on , no coat , visibly shaken by her response and yes angry by this point over and hour and half has passed in the weather and she talks about a mask while she is noticeably sniffing . No I would not recommend Painters Mill apt to anyone. Don’t get on Mandys bad side

I actually have had the chance to have further dealings with this community and it is not what it seemed at all. Most of their apartments are run down with mice and they take forever to fix things. Most of the time they don’t fix things they just put bandaids over the issue. I would not recommend these apartments to my worst enemy. Avoid living here
