I have family that lives in the area and have stayed at many hotels nearby. Home2 Suites in Owing Mills is by FAR my favorite! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else after staying here. Very clean!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, do NOT book here to stay!!!!!I am a current college student, my home address is within a 20 mile radius from the hotel. When visiting back home I booked a room in order to avoid any inconvenience with my family. The hotel manager proceeded to CANCEL my reservation because my "Home address is within a 20 mile radius from the hotel and locals arent allowed to book rooms"When speaking to the manager Alisha, she was RUDE and consistently told me to refer the the hotels website for this information. I asked her why she cancelled my reservation without calling or leaving any sort of voicemail and she proceeded to tell me to "just book again."This "20 mile radius" rule is under "PARKING" and doesnt ACTUALLY state "Local residents living within a 20 mile radius may not reserve rooms"it instead says "Other parking information: 20 mile radius safety restrictions for reservation"This doesnt say locals cannot reserve rooms. So the night of arriving back into town I had to scramble to find another hotel. Even the staff assisting me with check in couldn't find exactly on the site where it states local residents cannot stay, and as i stated...Im not local since I am currently in college.I am disgusted with my experience and in turn dont recommend anyone staying here as management is out of order and clearly not educated on proper verbiage.

I've got nothing bad to say about our stay at Home2 Suites other than we booked a double bed and they were out so we had to go into a king with a pull out couch but it was fine. Room was clean and little kitchen was good along with great water pressure in shower. All for a good price, which makes it 5 stars. Breakfast was free and hot, frozen biscuits and omelets were blah but waffles are always a hit. I would stay again.

Our stay was so nice had to review, plus i told Dahlia(manager) i would. Ill just hit the highlights:No signs of roaches or other bugs.AMAZING free breakfast. Far better than any hotel ive ever been in.The kitchennete was legit.Beds were comfy.Rooms were super clean.Location is good to other destinations.I visit carrol county several times per year, and the past few times i went for cheaper hotels, and was so disappointed. This costed more than Id like to pay, but at the same time, you get what you pay for, and id rather pay a little extra to have a great stay, instead of saving a few bucks and having a horrible stay.

The rooms are clean bright and spacious. There is plenty or storage and there are plenty of towels and toiletries and kitchen utensils. My complaint here is the breakfast. The first day here there were hard boiled eggs and there have not been any since that first day 2 weeks ago. There is very little fresh fruit and the chocolate milk is here about every other day. This morning there was one orange, no chocolate milk and nothing but ultra processed food to eat. There are sausage sandwiches in plastic wrap here just about everyday. I did not see any cold cereal and the oatmeal is pretty gluey. All in all a really poor breakfast is laid out.I want some hard boiled eggs, fruit and chocolate milk to be available at least once in a while. I am paying 4500 dollars for a month stay, buy a bag of orangesFood & drinks: non existant

Not Hilton Honors consistent..Looks exactly as pictured online. Upon arrival you’re forced to sign a paper saying you will not smoke, the hotel has quiet hours, no parties or confetti, and to watch your children. Very “diverse” to say the least. The pool is not openly accessible due to “security” reasons which had me and my daughters off guard as the front desk didn’t elaborate on what the safety concerns were. Used pool once only bc it wasn't clean and had lots of synthetic braiding hair in it. Over 6 police came on our floor the second night of our stay looking for someone. Another guest asked the front desk what it was about and she had no clue. When the guest asked the cops he said they came to view the police. Again very “diverse”. Stayed for about two weeks, overall demographics are very diverse as if the hotel accommodates displaced, halfway house residents (saw a guy with an ankle bracelet), or special needs residents in bulk at times. No discrimination just advising of my experience. Walls are beyond thin & a ton of noise from upstairs can be heard which raises concerns of a horrible insulation and clearly quickly built unit. Employees are great for the most part, but there’s small disconnects between the manager and the other front desk workers. Housekeepers are very pleasant. Parking is great. Breakfast is cool. Location is convenient to a lot of food places and stores. Got charged 3 times for a $15 room service charge that the manager assured had been paid and she rectified. Head manager Dalila told me at 7:42 PM something different than front desk girl with the red hair and advised if we left we would still be charged for the night and that it would affect my Hilton Honors rewards. On my final day at check out Joy told us late check out was 11:30 AM. We were still loading stuff in the car, out the room at 11:30AM and my minor child heard Joy tell the housekeeper “they were supposed to have been gone”. I didn’t find out that she said that to my girls until after I thanked her for her competency in removing the already paid $15 fee for the 3rd time when I asked for a copy of my folio and thanked her for upholding the pin she had on her shirt that said, “my pleasure”.Is an informal extended stay and they will book your room if you are still in it. They told me they had a lacrosse team coming in and my room was sold with no option to extend.Although I've checked out my stays and points have not updated from the 10 day stay. The vision of the location is amazing. The staff for the most part is amazing. Corporate needs to come in and assure the management and front desk are on the same page, understand the customer is always right, and assure that the manager sticks to policy instead of waffling through what she feels in that moment. Specifically to customers who are Hilton Honors members. I would’ve stayed longer but manager being there at 8pm at night in jeans, house shoes and giving a Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde response and calling the room back to back left a disconnect with me as she was abrupt and inconsistent.Weekend front desk Jennifer was beyond amazing and consistent in the Hilton mission/experience I’ve had over the times I’ve used my Hilton Honors experience/stay.Overall good experience give it take a few “safety” hiccups by management, pool needing cleaning, and employees not being on the same page multiple times. Loved learning spanish with the amazing housekeeping and kitchen staff.Probably would only return if there were no other options in that area while visiting. I can see how all of the reviews posted before me collectively good and bad have occurred.Rooms: Paper thin walls, bad insulation. You can hear all walking, talking, and even when someone open/closes the shower door that is heavy. Room Phone rings really loud. Otherwise amazing.Safety: Diverse demographic daily. 6 police came looking for someone there in the middle of the day prompting another guest and I to question the safety.
