The Backyard Naturalist is the area's largest and oldest independent retailer of products for wild birds and gifts for nature lovers of all ages. This wonderful little store is filled with all kinds of nature items and so many treasures and gifts. It has the best selection of products for birds, bird food, squirrel food, and deer food, plus a wide variety of nature-related gifts, books, puzzles, and cards. The very neat and clean shop packs a lot into a small space. The staff and owners are the best—always friendly, helpful, welcoming, and ready to offer good advice. Proudly serving for over thirty years, it is a favorite store worth the drive.

This has become, by far, my favorite bird/nature shop. They have such an interesting collection of birding supplies, rocks, fossils, and all kinds of other cool nature related stuff. The staff are always extremely friendly, helpful, and just seem to be having such a great time. I can't recommend this place enough!
