Max was rather amazing to work with. I received prompt responses and a wealth of knowledge. I never felt as though I was a bother and I received a lesser interest rate due to Max going the extra mile to help me. Sandy Spring remained consistent throughout the entire home buying process. My wife and I being first time homebuyers we were new to the entire house buying process. Max Guba with Sandy Spring Bank made the whole process a breeze and exciting! From the first phone call you can tell Max is filled with energy and has a smile, truly the definition of good customer service in my opinion. He was great to inform us of the current grant programs that are out there, because they go away quickly! Max was there to answer any questions you might have and walk you through each step of the loan process. You could call, text, or email, and you would get a response almost immediately. I would recommend reaching out to Sandy Spring Bank if you are looking to purchase a new home!

I LOATHE sandy spring bank. They're constantly locking me out of my account and denying transactions. Costs me hours every month. I'll be switching to literally any other bank on Monday as soon as the branches openEditing to add: called customer service today to get my card unlocked. It took half an hour, but they discovered that the problem was that my mobile number had been entered into the incorrect box when my account was set up, so I was not receiving text alerts about account suspension. My account would get locked, and next thing I know my debit card would be declined with no warning.There are still three failures here; the initial account set up when the number was input incorrectly, the first time I called with this problem the issue was not corrected (they just unlocked my card without fixing the incorrect phone number data input), and the second time I called with this problem, I had to escalate to a supervisor who got to the core of the issue. The first banker I spoke to didn't seem to understand what the problem was or why I was frustrated.I've had other issues with customer service, for example, no one told me I would need to reset my online banking password every three months, and the error message on the business app reads something about being locked out of your account, rather than just telling me to reset my password. I called about this multiple times before someone finally explained that this was a normal and planned thing that I would need to do every three months.Overall, I still think sandy spring bank has major shortcomings. It's still the worst bank that I use on a regular basis. But I will keep my account open a while longer to see if they can get all of this straightened out

the worst bank as well when i informed them that my account was hacked and there fraud security team has causes a great deal of trouble and took me over 6 months to get SSDI from this bank and i have called the branch manager but not in olney in another location but i am already working with the lawyer with a settlement unless they contact me ASAP and the settlement is set and if they contact me and worked this out then i will change the star rating

They put in a new mobile platform and had my banking unavailable all weekend. I have been trying to get access since 7:30 am as they said I would have access today which to me means a minute after midnight on 10-30-23. I have been on hold over 50 minutes on a line that went from music to silence at 30 min. I called in on another phone and selected client services again and it simply disconnected. I called back once again and was not disconnected but then waited another 10 minutes for someone to "direct "my call. I explained I am on another phone line waiting for service and it has gone from music to silence. at 30 minutes and is now over 45 minutes on hold. What does this silence mean? Am I still in a queue waiting? She could not help me except to say she can put me back on hold for client services. I said no I want to speak to a manager and she basically hung up on me because she said nothing and simply put my second phone into the same silent phone queue. This is unacceptable banking services and I hope people read this and think about going to a different bank as I gather I will need to do as well if I can ever get access to my monies.

Paul Hornyak with Sandy Springs bank did a great job helping us with our new loan. It is a long and tedious process, especially for those who work for themselves. He and his team bent over backwards to expedite everything that needed to be done. We appreciate everything that was done to make this work.

About a 15-20 minute wait to talk to the customer service folks in the back, but they were very knowledgeable and helpful!
