The new manager is impatient, angry and irritable. She has a bad attitude and I think she doesn't care about the customers.

I love this store. My friend lives nearby. The inventory includes nice produce, flowers and seasonal items. There are water sprays outside for kids (or adults) to play in.

The person bagging my groceries today was a completely under qualified boob. And the groceries spilt everywhere as soon as I got them to my car. It was me. I bagged my own groceries.

I went to Harris Teeter in Olney, MD, at 8:00pm tonight and there were no food clerks to ring up my groceries. Some customers were using the self service checkout but I don't know how to do that.

We have been shopping here since this location opened. It has gone down hill and is not a pleasant experience. Shelves are not stocked and items that are on sale are frequently out of stock! They refuse to give rain checks for many of these out of stock items and they rarely train their staff how to bag groceries. Most just throw stuff in the bags. They hire kids that barely say a word. My wife was overcharged for something and the checker was shocked when she asked for a refund. A manager had to step in to show how to process the adjustment! Training? What Training? The pharmacy has become unreliable. I recently went to pick up a prescription and the only person there was the pharmacist. No help. He was on the phone, filling orders and helping customers. With 4 of us in line it took 1/2 hr to pick up my Rx. They never have enough help, have 1 or 2 check out lines open with long lines. When we buy milk it frequently spoils days before the sell by date. They need to bring back or get people that care because this store is in a major decline! Wake up HT or you're gonna lose more customers!

I research products on manufacturer websites and am directed to Harris Teeter. Each time that I go to Harris Teeter, which is not convenient for me, the item that I am looking for is not there. I am sick and tired of the disappointment and the high prices at Harris Teeter. Harris Teeter is a huge, generic supermarket with HIGH PRICES and very few things that makes the store stand out. I AM DONE! I will have to go without an item that is only carried at Harris Teeter because they do not even stock the item and probably do not update their information with the manufacturers. HARRIS TEETER is a low quality chain restaurant that is quite forgettable.

I'm trying to be nice, but this is the third f#####g time I've been the ONLY one in line, and there'll be 3-4 pharmacy staff just staring at me behind the plexiglass. What, does my healthcare not matter to you, or maybe I'm the wrong complexion for you to give a f##k about? Ridiculous. After today's service, I'm taking my business elsewhere, or the next time, I may just dress up like "White Chicks" to get some damn help. *Addendum* After I returned to pick up my medication at the time advised to, the pharmacist, Christine, had not filled it at that point. Furthermore, whomever she was on the phone with, distracted her so much, she not only failed to fill mine, but other peoples' prescriptions as well. Flustered, I asked, "Excuse me, I was told to pick up my medication in 30 minutes, came back 45 minutes later, and want to know how much longer?" Dismissive in her response, Christine snapped at me as if I had kept asking for a handout. The good part about her behavior is the fact that she exhibited herself to not only me, but others standing in line, as one customer was none to pleased, and stated she would be making a complaint to HT management. As a "person of color" I know how it feels to be treated as if I don't exist. With that said, presently, the physical and verbal attacks towards Asians in America is reprehensible and vile. So Christine, GOD forbid, if you ever run into such encounters, it would be hypocritical for you to ever make a complaint when you'd be the pot calling the kettle, black. Christine, that's an idiom, by the way. I'm sure you may never heard it's use before. It just baffles me why people apply for jobs where they encounter the public 100% of the time, but have not one social ounce of character in their body.

(3.5) ~ good overall conventional grocery store that should have most of the items you're looking for;) The best part of HT is that they carry the "Simple Truth" Brand of items:)

I don't go here much as checkout is always painfully slow, but went because other nearby stores were short on seafood. I bought $60 worth of crab legs, opened them a day and a half later to cook, and they were beyond spoiled. Two days later and the odor still lingers in my fridge snd house. Yup, done with this place. Zero stars, lowest possible rating.

Sunday afternoon and 2 lanes open. Another wait to check out at this HT. Besides having tired looking produce and close to empty shelves for many items not sure why I shop here anymore. Probably not anymore.

What earned them 3 stars is having SO MANY CUSTOMERS and so few registers open! The wait was around 15 minutes! The organic produce section is a joke! $2.49 for an organic red pepper is pricier than Whole Foods! Overall, it's a good place to find organic "staples" for your cupboards.

Rude, stuck up customer service. I use to go here however they were recently rude to my wife and mother in-law when they where trying to buy groceries for my wife's grandmother who can't go out for the pandemic. Trying to give local places our business but they could care less. It is a shame with people being laid off they aren't thankful to have their jobs and help people. Go to Safeway or Giant don't waste time with this place anymore.

I used the online ordering for many months, spending about $500 monthly. Back in October they loaded another shoppers groceries into my vehicle and the corporate rep told me to keep them and that the manager would bring my order by the house. She came by but asked for the non perishables. Then recently a ham I paid for was not placed in my vehicle and the manager refused to send it by to me, not believing me. I have been promised calls in response to my complaint, and ultimately, either a refund or the ham. Three weeks later, despite repeated complaints I have received neither. Their customer support is appalling. I wouldnt buy groceries from them now even if I was starving. Safeway offers online ordering and pickup and their manager is friendly and helpful by contrast. They get my business now, naturally.

I arrived at the store early yesterday morning and proceeded straight to the dairy section to pick up the 12 oz. bottle of Promised Land Milk, that had been advertised as free in the Friday, 31 January 2020 e-VIC Alerts. As has frequently been the case recently, this free item was not in stock. When I inquired about the free item from a store associate (whom I believed to be in management), I was told that there was a substitute item that I could select instead of the advertised item. When I asked her if the substitute item would ring up as free, she assured me, very definitively that the item would ring as free and that all of the associates in the front of the store were aware of the substitution. I was leery of her confident assertion, as I had been directed to other substitutions of the free items on other occasions, only to have the price of those items charged to my bill, upon checkout. Nonetheless, I put the free item in my basket and proceeded to the checkout. When I arrived at the checkout, the young man who checked me out was unaware of the substitution and seemed confused that there even was a free item, as I tried to explain the situation to him. (I decided to not assume that the substituted item would ring as free, and instead explained the situation to him before he even started checking my order.) He summoned help from a store associate, who I assumed was a manager and someone with whom I had never had contact. He explained the situation to her and she very brusquely informed me that the free item would ring as free, upon completion of my order. I explained to her that the item I had been directed to by the other associate was a substitution for the free item that had been advertised in the e-Vic alert. At this point, she had obviously lost her patience with me and very curtly informed me that, of course, this transaction would have to be handled differently and that they would have to enter the free item manually. She proceeded to enter something in the computer that I presumed to be the manual process to which she so abruptly described to me. At that point, she placed the free item (a small bottle of milk) on a small shelf next to the cash register, and not on the belt with the rest of my groceries. She left and went back to the customer service desk and the cashier proceeded to ring up the rest of my groceries. As fate would have it, yesterday was double coupon day at Harris Teeter and I had several coupons to redeem. Again, as has often been my experience recently, one of the coupons did not double, when the cashier scanned it. When I pointed this out to him, he seemed confused as to why I would expect the $2 coupon to double, at which point I had to inform him that yesterday was a double coupon day. Again, he summoned the same managerial associate for assistance. After a great deal of study and analysis of the $2 coupon, she deducted an additional $2 from my bill. She also cautioned the cashier that he needed to check each coupon to make ensure that none of them had expired and that none of them prohibited doubling. As I presume that all of that information is automated and electronically confirmed, I can only deduce that the managerial associate continued to be perturbed by what she perceived to be a difficult customer (i.e., me). She continued to observe the cashier, as he scanned the rest of my coupons, and presented me with my final bill, which I paid with my credit card. As he was packing the rest of my groceries, I pointed to the small bottle of milk that the managerial associate had set aside on the small shelf near the cash register and asked if the transaction that applied to the free item had been completed, so that I could put it in one of my grocery bags. Truly, I was only expecting to receive a simple confirmation, but instead the managerial associate proceeded to tell me that, of course the transaction was completed, as she had done so "right in front of me" earlier. At this point, I was very upset and told the managerial associate that I did not
