The Odenton branch of M&T bank has a relationship banker who went above and beyond to help me. He was real gentleman and banking professional. He made me feel welcome from the moment I entered the bank until I left. I had to come back thd next day to get something straight and when I did all the documentation to sign were ready for signatures. His name is WILLIAM COLE. Well, I went there asking to reactivate my brother's account blocked it because he didn't use more than a couple of years. He has been out of country so that he can't come to verify himself in person. M&T branch people are so lazy to figure it out and don't have much knowledge about it.One of teller? Or person said they can verify in phone face meeting so he promised me to set it up. I have called and been waiting 2 months but no called back and any services at all.That is why I don't use M&T bank. How bad service it is. Please find different location or bank.

I called and asked if they exchange foreign currency, and the answer was yes. I drive 20 minutes to get here and get told, "oh, we can buy it through another company, and fees... blah blah blah, but it's easier at the kiosk at the mall." Could have told me that sooner, you know, before driving here, and passing the mall.

This bank branch is the definition of frustrating and incompetent. Every time I am cursed with having to go into the branch, it's like dealing with people they just pulled off the street and gave no training to. I am closing all of my M&T accounts and will NEVER recommend the bank to anyone.

I called in this branch to know about mortgage, mr nahian helped to understand about m&t mortgage, i am first time home buyer and he took time over the phone to make me understand about the process starting from pre-approval to closing, i asked him so many questions and he answered all my questions with patience. Few exclusive information that I found in my mortgage journey that nobody mentioned, m&t’s no pmi option, m&t does not sale the mortgage, m&t provides mortgage recast and portfolio adjustment option. I did not have any idea of these and he literally made me understand all these information. Thank you mr Nahian and i hope he will have success in his career. Kudos to him!

I do not recommend M&T in general. Nothing can be done online and everything has to be done on paper making it impossible to do anything that you need to do in a timely manner. They have made it very difficult to do what other banks could do in days. I would give a 0 out of 5 stars if I could.
