“I arrived early so I could take care of some personal matters online before my appointment but mostly to ensure I was not going to be late for my appointment. The waiting room was so welcoming with the interior design and I was very comfortable working. It was also clean, making my personal work easy to focus on until my appointment.
Sharae is a professional and very skilled at her work. She made me feel comfortable and I barely felt the needle. I can speak with some authority about this because I've had my blood drawn numerous times in my nearly 69 years and over half of those blood draws were awful. So I hope you value and appreciate her because she's the employee your company needs.”

“Beware of billing!!
I visited Elite Urgent Care in January of 2024, and must warn you that while the medical care that was provided was very professional, you will be blindsided with an unexpected bill weeks or months after your visit.
Regarding strictly the day of visit experience, the waiting room and patient examination rooms are very clean and well kept, the “front of house” reception staff is very polite, the wait time was reasonable, and the doctor provided adequate and professional care.
What soured my experience with Elite Urgent care, however, was their unforthcoming billing practice. At the time of the visit, after filling out all necessary new patient forms, and providing and verifying that the visit was covered though my insurance provider, the front desk staff confirmed that per my insurance coverage all that would be due for the visit was a $50 copay. I then remitted payment before seeing the doctor. Again when leaving after the examination was completed, I confirmed with the staff that payment had been completed and no additional charges would be applied.
Then, months later I received an invoice from Elite Urgent Care for $115.
The phone number that the invoice directs you to call in the case of billing questions is their office telephone number, which is apparently not the appropriate number to call with billing questions.
To add insult to injury, after going back and forth attempting to reach the billing department in order to find out where the disconnect was between being told that the copay had settled the visit cost, and then receiving an unexpected invoice, I received an second notice in the mail with an added “late charge” added.
If clear cut expectations for cost and billing are not important to you, I can say that the care provided was sufficient. Otherwise, I may recommend Patient First, or Teledoc.
UPDATE :
After receiving a call from Elite Urgent Care’s billing department, billing specifics were clarified, and billing was adjusted to be more in line with what the expectations were as set by office staff on day of visit.
I commend Elite Urgent Care for their response to this issue.

“These techs are awesome. Appts are a breeze. Walk-ins even more of a breeze. They should get no less then 5 stars. Keep in mind, doing blood work means using a needle as well. Just wanted to make sure all were prepared.
I drive from Bowie to Edgewater because I favor this place. Waste of gas? No. Sure takes a lot more. But ehh.”
“I have had bad experiences with incompetent technicians who stuck me and dug the needle around below the skin. I've been left with significant bruising and subdermal bleeding. So now I have a speech prepared before I am touched. I advise the phlebotomist that I can be a "difficult stick", and therefore need an expert. If they can't get it on the first try, I'm leaving. JANEL, my phlebotomist this time was very understanding of my anxiety. She has a wonderful chair-side manor. She exhibited great care, skill and composure which put me at ease. I will return to this location and request her in the future.”

“I am very happy that I chose the Glenn Dale location as a walk-in for lab work this morning. The office is bright, neat, and checking in is simple. I wish I had gotten the lady’s name at the front of desk so that I may mention her in this rating, because she was very nice, super friendly, and kind. My experience was even better once my name called for my lab work. Needles are not my thing, but Jeanette Dorsey is the best. She too was very nice, funny, and so incredibly gentle that I did not even realize that she had finished! Not often do I find and get to meet people who actually enjoy their jobs, very professional, and give great customer service. They were a great start to my day!”
“Steph is a god send! She is the only person who has been able to stick my son once and get his blood. We have been in the emergency department where they had multiple people try with UV lights and ultrasound and still couldn’t get it. Literally thank god for people like her, I was about to just not get my son’s blood drawn because I didn’t think any of us could get through the trauma of it again. Would give a thousand stars if I could! Whatever they pay her it should be double!”
