My friend and myself (African American) walked into this store at 11:45 pm on 8/7 while our other friend pumped gas. We asked if could get some ice from the machine and offered to pay. He said it was 35 cents but that we didn’t have to pay. We proceeded to get some ice and held a brief conversation at the counter, thanked the man, and said good night then walked towards the exit. As we were about to leave 3-4 men (Caucasian) walked in and the lady who was working behind the counter, greeted them, walked behind me and my friend and locked the door as soon as we walked out. We were extremely offended. The store is 24 hours and there were still customers inside. I’m only giving one star because I had to in order to post my review.

Great place to stop to buy some quick drinks. Reasonable prices. They have great cakes as well.

I arrived at 11:59 pm and my phone was at 1percent. I had to pay with Google pay so was trying to charge my phone. Andrew that works there came out and said we left on the pumps when we saw you. I told him I was paying with Google pay so he gave me a minute to charge my phone. I went in paid quickly and was on my way. Andrew and Colleen went above and beyond to make sure I could get gas and pay with my phone. Highly recommend great job Andrew and Colleen!

Great prices and great selection of beers. You can also get some gas while you are there, be sure to bring your car. We walked there multiple times during our stay. Coming from NYC, it’s great to see craft six packs for $11-12.Pictured: Duclaw “Regular Beer”

It is Wednesday, August 24th, 5:19 p.m. I just had the rudest woman cashier I have ever had in my life. I just ran in for four packs of cigarettes and received horrible attitude. Additionally, their prices are even high for OC. I purchased cigarettes from 7-11 by the 1st Street bridge for just over $8 a pack -- at this location they are $11.20.

The old white cashier lady is racist. I own a condo across the street so it’s the nearest store to buy beer. I’ve watched this lady pick on people of color countless times and it’s sickening. She needs to be removed or put in the back where she won’t have to deal with customers.

Caution! This business will card everyone in your party when buying beer. No problem when everyone in your party( (2 people) are over 21. They have the antiquated system where they do not accept "vertical" ID's. Even with the 53 year old father at the register. I get it if they think the ID is fake....but to refuse a 53 year old is ridiculous. This place had awesome beer selections for the past 12-13 years we've been coming to OC. Beer selections suck, and now they refuse service to people with valid ID's. They need a reality check and need to go F@CK themselves!!! An ID is an ID! You can vote with it, go to jail with it, and BUY BEER WITH IT!!! Looks like this is an issue with this company/location after reading the reviews. I hope they go out of business now that their beer selections suck donkey d*ck and their employees suck the same. Last word....it is Legal to refuse service to anyone no matter what the excuse is. But that should be reserved for drunks or belligerent folks. A vertical ID is a LEGAL ID!! Period!!! F*ck them!!!!

The ONLY good reason to shop here is if you want to see your friend have a WWE SmackDown with the clerk. I walked into the store to buy my mom a nice wine for Mother's Day as my father recommended this store to me for their selection. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK!!! The employees are rude, discriminatory, and nasty. First, Virginia does not change your license to HORIZONTAL as soon as you turn 21 SO THIS DOES NOT MAKE MY ID FAKE!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I was searching for a nice wine from France (they make the best Cabernet) and this lady clerk kept giving me an evil eye and rudely asked if I needed any help (in a manner she was hinting she was watching me...). I really had no idea what problem this woman had with me (maybe she thought I was a tourist, maybe she was mad because I look young, or maybe she just wanted a problem.) So, I finally go to check out, and she denies my license because it's vertical and against the store policy I guess? But that's very funny because I go to any other liquor store in ocean city, and they sell me anything. Trust me, I am the last person to have a fake ID and I'm well beyond 21. Then she proceeded to ask for my passport instead... BRUH who carries that !?! I was PISSED, so I went on yelp and I read reviews similar to this one. I guess the troll behind the cash register still resides... it's been years and I'm confident it's the same woman in all those reviews. DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE!!!!!!! THEY WILL FIND A REASON NOT TO SELL YOU ALCOHOL (and I know we all want it!) PLEASE GIVE YOUR SASS TO MY GOVERNOR AND DONT PUNISH ME!!!

I am 23 and was denied service because I have a vertical Washington state ID. I am also military but the lady would not sell to me. Will not be going to wine rack any more.

My girlfriend and I just came in to buy water after completing our drive from DC. When we walked in there was an older man who was behind the register shouting at us to “make it quick” in an extremely rude fashion. He also kept talking down to us as we quickly searched for water to buy. I understand that the place was closing soon, but the doors were unlocked some of the lights were still on and there were two people still standing at the register when we entered. Extremely bad customer service…

Had absolutely no problem with the staff, had a quick wine chiller for customers to use and the selection and prices were fine.
