I was in town for a conference at the convention center. I stayed in a pool view 2queen suite, which was pleasant. Room was clean and odor free. I did not get much of a chance to enjoy the amenities of the property but enjoyed the stay. I am an extremely light sleeper and did not have issue with the noise from the pool area just outside my window. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking is free and covered(huge plus imo)

Honestly, we have always stayed at this hotel. We were very disappointed this trip. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have slept on in a long time. The room seems like there is something missing. I thought this room was remodeled but it needs a lot of work. Shower needs to be re-caulked. The windows are so dirty, I couldn't take a picture through them. There is something loose on the wall outside of the building that made noise all night every night. The people are very nice, but it is highly unlikely I will return.

Getting to our room was like travelling g through amaze. Tale the lobby elevator to the second floor. Then a left, left, right, left. Then take the back elevator to the first floor. Then right, right, left.Schee!
Air conditioner didn't work so the sent repair crews twice. The room was hot for 1-1/2 days out of 2. The room was nice, but no drawers, cabinets were mis-aligned. Staff was really nice.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Princess Royale. I called a couple times before arriving, with questions about my stay and the staff members I spoke with were able to answer all my questions and were very kind. Upon arrival, the young lady that checked me in was very nice and check in was quick and easy. The room itself was very nice, we booked a newly renovated double queen suite, the updated looked was a plus. Nice living area with TV, kitchenette with full size refrigerator, small table to eat at, mini stove top, and dishes/pots and pans were available. Bathroom was nice and the room itself was spacious enough for myself, my boyfriend and our 2 year old. Our room overlooked the atrium and pool which was nice. The 1 and only issue I had was that our room could've been cleaned with a little more detail. It was clean for the most part but there was hair left behind in some areas of the bathroom and a little bit of sand on the chair in the bedroom. If not for that I would've given the room itself 5 stars instead of 4. The pool area was nice it was bigger than I expected. And the doors near the pool lead right outside to the beach which was extremely convenient.
Housekeeping was fast and efficient when I called for blankets and towels and the hotel itself is perfectly positioned near everything. Close to the boardwalk and a bunch of different restaurants and sits right on the beach. We went after labor day so there weren't alot of people or children and the weather was perfect. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone and stay again.
Nearby activities: Plenty of restaurants nearby, jolly Roger's amusement park not too far, mini golf & boardwalk nearby
Walkability: Everything is pretty much in walking distance or a short drive down the road

Staff seemed like they weren’t sure they work in customer service at a hotel lol. Check in was confusing because it was kinda hard to figure out where I was going due to lack of signage. Room was nice, bathroom was the nicest hotel shower ive ever had.
Microwave rubbed the refrigerator so couldn’t open fully, and if you moved over fridge to open microwave the fridge couldn’t open lmao. Was as great 20 footer if you feel me.
Overall nobody else was booking a 1 night stay in OC. It wasn’t cheap and i wouldn’t come back unless I needed a short notice option for less than 2 night stay.

I’m not sure where to start with this review. We decided to try this hotel for a change, but our four-night stay was unfortunately filled with disappointments.
We arrived early on a Sunday morning, only to be told that check-in wouldn't begin until 5 PM. We were advised that an early check-in might be possible if a room was ready, but the hotel wouldn’t call us; we’d have to keep checking in ourselves or wait until 5 PM. So, we decided to relax at the hotel pool while waiting. However, the pool water was cloudy and the atmosphere was far from inviting, so we opted for the beach instead.
The front desk provided us with a parking pass but warned that there were no dedicated changing rooms—just a stall in the pool bathroom. The parking garage was extremely tight and challenging to navigate, especially with a larger vehicle. Additionally, be cautious of reserved spots for condos.
Navigating the hotel itself was a maze, requiring three different elevators just to get to the beach. When we finally returned to check in at 5 PM, we faced a long line with about 20 people waiting and only three staff members at the desk, all needing manager assistance to complete check-ins. This process took around 45 minutes.
We were assigned a ground-level beach access room, which seemed convenient but was impractical as you couldn’t access the room from the outside sliding door without leaving it unlocked. The room, while recently renovated and nicely laid out, was disappointing in cleanliness. Sand-covered floors, hair in the shower, dirty kitchen utensils, broken glasses, and a barely functional dishwasher marred our stay. Despite the 5 PM check-in time, the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned.
On the plus side, the beds were clean and the pillows were comfortable. We encountered more issues trying to move our belongings. We were informed that guests could not use luggage carts and had to request a bellhop. When we finally found one, he was busy counting money and didn’t offer assistance. The bellhop didn’t even hold the door open for us, which was frustrating given the lack of automatic doors.
Returning from dinner that night, we found the outside door from the beach locked both inside and out—a serious safety hazard. The room lacked essential safety features like grab bars in the shower.
Monday morning, I was awoken at 6:30 AM by lawn care equipment right outside our room. We also discovered that housekeeping was minimal; we didn’t receive clean towels or any other basic amenities.
Other minor inconveniences included a stovetop with no instructions, a lack of a channel guide or local information, and no drawers for clothes—just a large cabinet for a suitcase.
The most significant issue was with the air conditioning. While the first night was fine, by the second day, the room temperature rose to 82 degrees. Despite multiple visits from maintenance and advice to keep the AC on “auto,” the room remained uncomfortably warm. We even had to open the sliding door, which let in biting flies due to the lack of a screen.
Upon checkout, we discussed the AC problems with Paulina, the office manager. She offered to comp one night’s stay, which was appreciated, but it’s concerning that these issues have persisted without a permanent solution.
Overall, the hotel failed to meet expectations, and I cannot recommend it for a relaxing vacation. With the challenges of navigating the property, inadequate guest care, and poor room conditions, you’d be better off staying at a different hotel closer to the boardwalk or exploring alternative beachfront options.

This was my first time at Princes Royale Oceanfront Resort. It did not disappoint.
My daughter was getting married on the beach and the reception was held in the ballroom. Everything was perfect. The food was amazing and the servers were excellent. the set up was beautiful and Melanie Anton Catering Sales manager made sure everything ran smooth.
The condo was fabulous and was very roomie with all the accommodations. The ocean front view from the balcony was incredible. .The Resort had something for everyone. Gym, spa, outdoor bar and grill, resturant, and inside pool the kids enjoyed. From the check-in to the check-out. I was sure I was returning here again. 10 thumbs up. Thank you Princess Royale Resort for making this Beautiful Wedding Event so memorable. Sincerely Mother of the Bride.

Our first here for a getaway just my husband and I. The hotel is beautiful, service was very good and the views gorgeous until we were met the following morning outside our oceanfront balcony view a Wedding tent being put up. This huge tent obscured our view for the rest of our stay, it took them over 5 hours of banging and clanging to put this up. We spoke the manager on duty and we share our displeasure of our experience, she made it right. Our reccomendation was, if you knew a wedding tent was being up, give the option to all your 1st & 2nd floor patrons to move up to higher floors. Part of paying for oceanfront is to see & hear the ocean, not a huge white tent! Best believe if I return, I will be asking if their hosting a wedding again.
I really felt sorry for anyone that was on the 1st & 2nd floors that weekend, because you didn't get what you paid for.
Rooms: We had an oceanfront King suite with corner balcony. Very clean, bed was very comfy.

Last time I stayed here I was so thrilled and had the best experience. This year I checked in on a Thursday at 3:00 ish. and I immediately realize only 4 outlets in the room worked. Then, neither television worked, the refrigerator went out and also I couldn’t have my morning coffee because the coffee machine did not work. I have asked for a manager call me so I will see what they have to say. I was very disappointed in my stay so far and I have 3 more days to go.
Rooms: Needs work
Walkability: Very walkable

Where shall I began.... This hotel is the epitome of low class with no amenities and the prices that they are charging for these rooms are outrageous! The photos were deceiving, and the whole time me and my family was there was very exhausting trying to get from one room to the other. The rooms are outdated and no one should ever be charged 930.00 for a 3 night stay! I had a King only room that led out to the grass with weeds and ball spots in the grass, which was unappealing. My room was on the first floor and to get to it, we had to go to the second floor from the first floor and down a long hallway and go around the corner of that floor to another elevator that took us to the first floor again and back around another corner before we made it to our room. This place is not handicap friendly at all!!! Several doors were locked, which made me have to use the stairs, and my leg is broke, so it wasn't easy getting around. Don't waste your money on this place at all! Good luck!

Overall, we had a great experience. We decided to go to ocean city for 2 nights on Wednesday morning. We called and got an oceanfront room. By the time we got there Wednesday evening, it was dark. We got a “recently remodeled” room. It was nice, but seemed like it was remodeled a few years ago. Thursday morning, we had a beautiful view for the sunrise, but by noon, a canopy had been put up in the back for events and it completely blocked our view. We called the front desk to see how long it would be up, and it was going to be up through the weekend. The manager, Courtney, was very nice and accommodating and moved us up several floors to an upgraded room. We a had an amazing view for the rest of our stay! Would definitely recommend!

Stayed in 802- run down, dirty and smelly.
I don't think they have enough staff to properly clean.
