I stayed at the Fenwick Inn with my friend, her daughter and my Shepherd on a Sunday in September during bike week last month. 2024.
We had an early dinner and were in our room watching movies and went to bed very early.
I received 2 calls on my cell and a call to our room to “shut my dog up”. She was sleeping on my bed and we were all asleep. I did hear a small dog through the wall next door whimpering and crying for a long time.
At 12:40 am a Fenwick Inn employee flung open our door yelling at us to shut our dog up! I was horrified and furious.
I followed her downstairs asking her what the hell she thought she was doing. We were all asleep! No one is allowed to break into our room! We had a child in the room too.
She was mistaken about which room the dog was barking in.
I FINALLY got an email response a day or two ago. ( have been waiting for almost a month).
No one has returned phone calls, I have left messages and also emails.
The response I finally got was the employee thought the room was empty and went in to get a pillow. She called the room to yell at us! She 100% knew the room was occupied!
I emailed back that she is lying and demand some kind of proper apology, punishment for the employee and some compensation for this inexcusable behavior. I am still waiting.
Ridiculous way to run a hotel. I am very disappointed and will NOT be returning! No response from anyone!

I would recommend staying at any other hotel in Ocean City and don’t let the fake reviews the management spends their days writing on here fool you. I fell for the same trap. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had and I travel for a living. - also if you had the same experience.
The management is extremely rude. When I first arrived I watched 3 families in front of me get in a screaming match with the rude front desk until it was my turn which the same thing happened. We were all in the right and customers were backing each other up in the lobby. It was a horror film in there.- also seeing this is common is other review.
When we arrived to our room it was still dirty with dirt and sand still all over the floor, broken furniture, and looks like they just took the sheets and tossed them outside our rooms door to “clean” it.
The Fenwick inn also has bed bugs per other experiences.
Be aware that when you arrive you may be overcharged again. Both myself and two other families had the same problem of them making up charges to give you a key to your room.
Also be aware that this hotel is crime prone with no cameras on the exterior or care for residents safety and unfortunately my car was even hit and run. More money out my pocket for a horrible weekend here.
To top everything off you will hear every word of the person next to you and hope you aren’t like myself who was lucky enough to stay next to a screaming child at 3am every night.
The hotel is falling apart and extremely dirty, management is no help, safety is bad, and there are far far better options. I mean to checkout I had to beg the staff to get up from the complimentary breakfast and do their jobs.
I made several attempts to the manager to resolve the issue with zero response until I called the owner of the building. There was no remorse in their responses and the manager started making claims that never happened (everything’s in writing) then used this as an excuse to not give a discount. Lying thieves.

After horrible hospitality and refusing to be accommodated at the Best Western, we came to Fenwick Inn to last minute book a room. The Fenwick Inn delivered nothing but the best our entire stay, and this will be our new ocean city pick from here on out. The room was clean, noise free and breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts I’ve been to. The bar & the restaurant are amazing to where I was still talking about the mashed potatoes I ate there, a week later. Rooftop lounge is also great and so was the pool/hot tub, we will be back during the 2025 season! Thank for turning our horrible vacation upside down!!

I cannot thank you enough!
This inn is nice and clean, pet friendly, one block away from the beach. There is a nice pool and hot tub, and the rooftop resturant was good.
We had a lot of circumstances and were able to continue to extend our stay. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

In the past, we had a bad experience here but after 12 years, we decided to try again since they are pet friendly.
Maintaining a clean space when you are pet friendly is hard. But on night number 2 of our 4 night stay, a PERSON defecated in an elevator. This trail of feces went all the way down our hallway. We alerted the front desk but they did nothing until we complained that after a few hours, it was still all over our hallway. No way was it a dog. That is a dangerous situation and it should have been cleaned up right away.
Room was clean and had no pet odor. Pool was cold but the hot tub was nice. It's in a good location if you like quiet, sort of away from all the traffic of the inlet.
They will hit you with an additional $10 per night "resort fee". So it was actually an extra $40 over the advertised price (pet fee is an additional $30 per night plus another additional $10 in taxes. So technically $50/per night over advertised price) The room simply wasn't worth that much, especially in off season. I don't think we will be back.
Rooms: Nothing special. No microwave in rooms.
Nearby activities: Mini golf is nearby
Safety: Pet friendly. Be mindful.
Walkability: Just a few blocks to the beach.
Food and drinks: Free breakfast before 10am. Mostly prepackaged items.
Noteworthy details: For the $$, it's not worth it.

My go to place in Ocean City Maryland. Peaceful. Pet friendly. Recently renovated. New rooftop restaurant with a great view of the city and ocean.

Located a block off the beach. Reasonable rates and comfortable beds. Housekeeping is hot or miss but the rooftop lounge is fun with live music some nights. Lots of pets visit FYI.

We decided to stay here another year. I truly was impressed the first time I stayed. This year the room was not as clean as last year. Although it was nice I felt last year was much nicer. The check in wasn't as wonderful as last either. I do have to mention the hotel is very nice. I guess I expected the same quality and cleanliness as the first time staying. I would stay again

The only thing that threw me off is how the room service wasn’t trying to change our linens. My wife practically had to call and beg 4 times until she was fed up and threw them out into the hallway!!
Rooms: Room was very big actually big enough for my 2 year old to run around and enjoy himself!!
Nearby activities: They had so many places to have fun and access to liquor stores and food was just a 200 to 500 meters away!
Walkability: The beach was just right across the street so that made my son’s first experience to the beach a blast

They marketed their rooms as having queen bed. But, they do not have queen bed but rather it is double bed. I specifically chose this hotel as it was having 2 queen bed over other hotels marketing it as 2 double bed even though this hotel was expensive. Extra $100 to choose this hotel over other hotel was wasted when I checked in and measured with tape to see that it was 2 double bed. Further, they offer to provide extra roll over bed for free but then during check out they charged me extra roll over bed as well. This is by far the worst rip off hotel in the ocean city.

I truly Enjoyed my first time there. It was nice and relaxing. Only thing people left their Dogs behind. I constantly heard yapping dogs, some sounded like 2 barking. We were told not to leave are dogs unattended. To which we did not leave. Someone always stayed behind took turns. I don’t have dogs, but my grand Fur Babies I love my babies. I don’t think that I want to stay in another dog friendly hotel. I will never say that never again. It was very noisy with that separation cry barking. You knew they were alone. Staffing back and forth, and not reported so I dealt with it. Outside of that it was an Absolute joyful getaway. NeXT time come I’ll get a room without dogs. It’s the people who Break the rules, mess up for others. I loved the hot tub jets, on my hurting back. My 2 year old granddaughter had a blast playing in the water. The Breeze felt Awesome on the Rooftop.
Walkability: I like the close walk to the Beach, and other stops made near.

Loved the room, the pool, the location & the price-think it could’ve been 3.5 stars. It was a great place to sleep in, definitely recommend people to stay here and we’d come back too.
Rooms: Wooden floor
Nearby activities: plenty of local restaurants and fun places to go.

Stayed for a family vacation room was premium view 2 queen beds and had a pool and hot tub, game room was a little small and breakfast was not greatest selection only bagels, cereal and pancakes which didn't look too good, but definitely would come again this is our second time here so
Rooms: 2 queen beds with television, fridge and microwave plus a chair to sit in
Nearby activities: Amusement park was ok but just to ride 2 rides was $28
Safety: Felt safe whole trip
Walkability: They have a shuttle to take you across to the beach
