Visited the end of July 2023 for a week. This is hotel is in a great location and in walking distance to many things. There's no breakfast but there are options in walking distance (we enjoyed the DD across the street)There's also the "rope walk" outdoor bar/restaurant across the street which has an outdoor play place for kids. The hotel itself was clean, staff was helpful and kind and we loved the indoor pool (great in case of bad weather which we had one evening)The price was more than fair and when we called about pricing questions, the staff was very helpful.Very close walk to the beach and lots of covered parking.Small arcade that was just interesting enough for a change of pace for my 5 year old when it rained. Some machines didn't work and you have to buy a special card to use any of the machines. I wouldn't consider this arcade anything special but good for once when you're rained out.To gym guests:The gym was also better than expected. hyperextension, leg extension, treadmill, elliptical, delt machine, seated press, ab machine. Used the seated press backwards for some rows.We will definitely be staying here next year!

Room ok. Phone didn't work. Not very clean. Had to dust. Pool very nice. Small. Lack of vending machines. Their phone # for hotel reservations was hacked by Expedia. I thought I was speaking to hotel. Asked if it was Bonita and told Yes. The actual number for hotel is started with 410 and I could have paid half. Management at Bonita would not help me out at all. I contacted them 2 weeks before arrival and that is how I found out booking was thru Expedia plus completely wrong. Still no help from managers even though they could see not what I had been told. Their web page is deceiving. If u want to contact them look at bottom of page for 410 number . We went and I didn't bother to complain as it would have been useless.

I'll stay here again!! Excellent service, clean and comfortable rooms with ac and kitchenette. Hot showers with more than adequate pressure. Located near all amenities you'll need during your stay. Well done Bonita!!

We had a nice suite with a small sliver view of the ocean. Check in was smooth. I wish it was a little closer to the boardwalk, but we drove down and easily found parking.

I have stayed here before and it's been awesome. Which is what led me to book my long weekend trip here while my sister was visiting. My room had a portable window ac unit, which wouldn't have been a big deal but I could see light because the sliding glass door couldn't seal. Sorry but I don't want moths and nats in my room. Two lights were broken. After expressing my concerns at the front desk I was met with a " the ac is working right" ..made the best of the weekend after moving rooms two times and playing where in the world is Carmen San Diego with the manager. You can do better Bonita Beach

I'm not even sure where to start. We decided to go a day early and glady accept the extra 160 fee to change days. Get to hotel around 1230pm knowing our room isn't available until 4 yet ask to be called if early checkin becomes available. Never got a call or text as told. Had to keep checking ourselves then after 4 when we still didn't get a call finally ask again to find out around 430pm. We get up to our room after trekking throught the dirty stained hallways that exceed 85 degrees only to enter our room and dind a portable AC unit attached ro pur patio sliding door that we cannot lock nor open due to the tape and fixtures to have portable ac pipe going out. Room wreaks of musty mildew. Ac vent grates are plastered with funk. Since the air conditioning is not working, bathroom has no type of ventilation besides the hot air blowing through crusty vent. You have to take a shower in cold water to prevent sweating upon exiting the shower. Can't use a hairdryer in bathroom. Starting sweating immediately. I am going to contact someone regarding the balcony door being taped and unusable then not to be able to lock it? Seems like some sort of safety violation. Thankfully I have pictures. Couldn't even sleep with a blanket in this stinky, hot room. Beds are like hammocks. oh and Benny, the customer relations guy for the Carousel group, a JOKE! Offered 10% of the 1st night stay only bahahahahahaha. What a slap in the face. Keep your sad excuse of a customer service refund and apply it to fixing another clients ac unit so they don't endure the same despicable conditions. It should be against the law for this place to charge nearly 300 a night. It's practically a roach motel with and air conditioned lobby lol. Stay far far away from this place. Unfortunately we chose to visit OC last minute and this place looked decent on pictures. Sadly, this place could be nice but the Carousel group is apparently just ripping people off. We were also offered to move rooms after unpacking yesterday. Its highly unlikely in our 3 days here we would love to pack and unpack several times due to managements neglect to be upfront about these unacceptable situations. I will be contacting someone other than Benny to discuss this matter. Oh and they came out to alter the temporary air conditioning to allow us to open the slider, well it would now ooen however there was now a gap allowing hot air and bugs in. Then when you went outside and shut door, it automatically locked. If you were by yourself you had to wait until someone came to let you in. Then to top it all off it rained hard, I have video of the the rain blowing into gap and dripping down all along carpet. Utterly disgusted with this place and their selfishness to swindle money from the public when this room and many others should be out of service.

We stayed for 2 nights, first night no air conditioning. The whole hotel was without ac. Is very deteriorated. The beds were dirty, towels the kitchen they should improve the cleaning. ( here you have some pictures) I request late check out since I did the reservation and the last day they told me that they could give me just 30 more minutes. Even that I request that ahead of time, even that I remained the employee that the first night we didn’t have AC. They didn’t care. I tried to talk to the manager never respond my email or my phone calls. It was very irritating. For the price was almost 300 per night. Not recommend.

First time staying here. We had an Oceanview room (a small square between buildings). Only a half block walk to the beach. Bed was very comfortable. Liked the full size fridge for gallon drinks. No daily maid service at this time. A small leak started from the shower ceiling on our last day- we reported it. Earlier reviews spoke about AC issues-there is no AC in elevators or common areas, but AC in room was fine. It's an older hotel, so mechanicals are not as quiet, but still slept fine. Priced lower than most hotels for that week, so overall, very pleased. We will stay there again definitely!

Listen, I'm leaving 5 stars for this property for a very crucial reason: they took responsibility and took care of us as guests through a very unfortunate mishap. We were also at Bonita Beach Hotel when they suffered from a serious issue- the loss of A/C- so yes, like many other reviews you're seeing, it was frustrating. That being said... Management brought us two large box fans and offered us a late check out. (We were in Room 515)The Manager took the time to call us Saturday morning to both explain exactly what happened and also to take care of us for the inconvenience. People are going to vent their (understandable) frustrations in reviews for this past weekend, and I get that, but I wish they wouldn't- it's shortsighted. What's rare is for any business to proactively reach out as the Management of Bonita to have done. They heard us and took care of us and that's what any business should do. I've worked in hospitality and I recognize this as a rare issue and not a regular one so I believe Bonita shouldn't be judged for one problem which wasn't even their mistake. They could not control the speed of the electrical service arriving on a busy weekend and how fast they fixed it. We would give them another chance- so should you.Nearby activities: In view of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean, what more could you want? Balcony was lovely. Had a very well equipped fitness center to boot!

3 Stars. Pretty much as expected; clean room, bathroom, Wi-Fi, etc. No housekeeping during the day, have to ask for extra towels. Room had an AC unit that attached to the sliding door which didn’t allow the sliding door to lock. Key cards are super old and fail to work if they get too close to your phone. Front desk was very helpful.Area was good with lots of food options and very close to the beach.

Ok hotel, however when doing laundry on 2nd floor the ceiling ( under the pool) was leaking water an not just from above the washers but the light fixture was also leaking water! We told front desk 3 times my daughter video taped it and the response was for the to lay towels on the wash machines. We also had outlets in our room that didn't work etc.. it's nice that it is on the beach but fear of being electrocuted kinda outweighs that!

Absolute horrible experience. Where do I start? No AC, it was 80+ in the room . Door lock did not work. Eventually moved to another room. That room had an ant problem. Both rooms had broken furniture and had outlets that were loosey goosey, nothing would stay plugged in. neither room was clean and had leftover trash, food and clothes in them. I emailed management over a week ago about my concerns and no one has respond. Would not recommend.

Not the worst place I’ve stayed but not great. LThe air conditioning didn’t work in our room for the first day. Had to ask the front desk twice to have maintenance come look at it. When maintenance finally came to look at it he flipped the switch on the thermostat 20 times and then left and brought us the dirtiest fan I have ever seen in my life to use. He said he’d be back and never came back. My husband was able to mess with the system and get the a/c to flip on, otherwise we would have had to go to another hotel. They kept the hallways at 82 degrees the entire time we were there. No hot water in the shower the entire trip. The maintenance guy told us to call front desk and the phone in the room didn’t work. Room was spacious which was great, but it was never cleaned other than bathroom trash being emptied and towels being replaced. I feel like this could be a good place to stay if ownership put money into repairing basic needs a/c, hot water, etc. Front staff was very courteous.
