Never again, told them I was capped at $1000 and to let me know when we were near So we could discuss how much was left and whether I wanted to proceed. I stopped in twice and called once all trying to remind them but they couldnt tell me where we were at for parts or labor, 2-3 weeks later they tell me I owe 2400$. Absolutly absurd I provided most of the parts and had I done this anywhere else I'd have been charged half the price. I have 15 cars and most of the work they did I have done myself nothing justify 2400$ even with the labor.
The only other time I went here they charged me 75+ for a diag fee and I litterally watched as they shined a flashlight around my car and claimed it jumped time. Good thing I didn't let them touch it anymore because it was a 15$ ignition coil.
It's not just me either I've heard of this happening to multiple locals, these 5 star reviews must be from out of town folk who don't realize they're getting screwed.

Garrett automotive has scammed me and other people I know out of hundreds and even thousands of dollars. They do not back their work in my own experience. They say they have fixed something and it's not or you agree upon a certain price range and they blow past it and think it's justifiable without talking to you first and now you owe them thousands of dollars.

I had the front brakes replaced (rotors and pads) on 5.16.22. Immediately strong vibration. They tried to convince me on 11.02.22 that nothing was wrong with what they did, charged me extra for "adjusting my rear brakes". Didn't make one iota of a difference. I just decided to live with it. Fast forward to today, 5.17.23 when I had my brakes checked by my regular guys. The rotors are completely warped. One year and need to get the brakes re-done. Junk parts, that's about all there is to it. Brake rotors ought to last longer than 12 months. And no, I do not have a habit of braking hard.

I had car trouble while on vacation. So stressful! Several people recommended Garrett Automotive, and I was not disappointed! They were kind, professional, sympathetic, and accommodating. They were also fair and honest. I was able to get my car repaired before I had to make the long drive home. I definitely recommend Garrett Automotive!

Big shout out to Bill and his team! I was on vacation this past week in Deep Creek when my son had a mishap with our Highlander. Bill and his team were fantastic. They were friendly, professional, thorough, reasonably priced, and timely with their services. Coming from a larger city where you feel like a number going to an automotive center, it was refreshing to be treated with such care and respect. Traveling late at night from Dulles Airport to Deep Creek Maryland we hit a wild animal someone in the fog in the middle of nowhere coming from Dulles Airport. The next morning we realized our rental car bumper was damaged and called Garrett Automotive to see if they might easily fix it for us. They fit us right away- even drove us to and from our hotel - and did a perfect job. We were so appreciative and their efforts made our trip so much easier!! Note to anyone reading this : alert your out of town guests that driving to Deep Creek late at night is not recommended - plus the beautiful countryside - is just so lovely to see.
