The pharmacy used to be excellent, and from 2000-2016 employed professional, helpful, knowledgeable pharmacists. (My stepfather was a pharmacist for 50 years, so I know a good one when I talk to them.)Starting around 2017, the pharmacy staff went downhill, fast. A lot of the longtime techs quit. There has been frequent turnover of pharmacists for the last 6 years; they generally stay there a year or less. The last good pharmacist who left told me that Walgreens underpays its pharmacists, so the good ones always leave for higher paying jobs. Over the last 6-9 months, trying to refill prescriptions at this location is a nightmare. Waiting in line for 40-60 min, because they're always understaffed. The drive-thru pharmacy window is closed 50% of the time, because the register frequently breaks down. They *never* have my monthly medications in stock, even though I've been on the same three meds for over 12 years and need them monthly: there is always a delay while they reorder stock, sometimes causing me to miss a dose or two, which is dangerous. One of the male techs is really condescending to women customers. I will say that 2 pharmacy techs, Deo and Rebecca, are excellent!! Both are very kind, helpful, patient, and go out of their way to assist with questions. Overall, from 2000-2016, I'd have given this Walgreens 10 stars out of 5, and in 2013 I even called their corporate office to compliment the pharmacist who was at this location back then, and who recommended a new migraine medication that worked better for me. However, now in 2024, it's a circus in there, and the service is very disappointing.

If I could give no stars I would. But my friend who is visually impaired went to this pharmacy with his seeing eye dog. The pharmacist refused to give my friend his vaccine as they told him, he couldn’t bring his dog in. Clearly my friend is visually impaired and the dog is labeled properly as well. This is unacceptable. Be warned about this pharmacy

Pharmacy is terrible. They are extremely understaffed and overworked. My daughter’s scripts take about a week to fill. She can’t wait a week for asthma meds luckily I still have some on standby but if I didn’t we would be out of luck. I went there today to pick them up and the sign said it was no pharmacist there today and by law they can’t give people their meds even if they have already been filled. Like what? They might get a lawsuit soon! Someone could lose their life waiting for them to fill important medications. They need to hire more staff asap! For me I will be using a different pharmacy. It sucks because this one is the closest to me but I don’t mind traveling if I would get my daughters life saving medication on time.

Literally does anyone work at the pharmacy? I consistently try the drive-through during their normal hours (not during their lunch break) and will sit for at least 10 minutes and no one will ever come to the window. I try their phone and they don’t ever answer. One of the few times I actually managed to receive my meds from them, I called when I got home because I had a question about one of the prescriptions, and I was on hold for 45 minutes and no one ever picked up, the automated answering message just kept telling me there was one person ahead of me in the call-line.

Pharmacy is extremely slow and rarely answer the phone. When they do, they’ll hang up on you repeatedly. I’ve had prescriptions transferred to this location several times, and they always claim to not have the info. Do not recommend. Pharmacists tend to be rude. Go anywhere else but here.Update: stood in line for an hour while calling the pharmacy. Watch them ignore the phone ringing the entire time. Was told my prescription was being filled, then two hours later told their system would not allow them to fill it. Was given no information on how to fix the problem. Retards. All of them.

This place is terrible. Customer service is awful. Employees talk down to customers. I have been trying to get my medicine refilled 2 weeks and have come back 4 times with the answer that “they are still working on filling it”. While in line, an employee told another customer, “I don’t care about what you want” for a customer just trying to get their medicine filled. I will not be returning, as my needs are not being met and the employees quite obviously do not care.

Have been using this pharmacy for about 3 years And never had any issues. The last two times that I have come there have been huge wait times and they didn't have some medicine in stock And others weren't ready. As I am writing this there is 10 people waiting in line with just 1 attendant. They seem extremely understaffed.

No stars!! Horrible place! The Walgreens at Belair Rd and Silver Spring rd. is a joke. The customer service is nonexistent and the pharmacy is not run well at all. My prescription was called in at noon and they did not have it ready by 7:30 pm. I was told “not going to be ready until sometime tomorrow but don’t know when”. Children could do a better job running this place. Changing where I get my prescriptions filled immediately!

Absolutely awful experiences trying to get a prescription refill. Pharmacy lacks follow through on what they say they willfofo4 customers. Horrible customer experience. Was on hold for two hours and the hung up on while there were only three people ahead of me. As soon as I get my prescription,we will not be using Walgreens pharmacy anymore.

Nothing went well getting a simple script of eye drops. Doc submitted script at 10:00am. At 1:30p I received an automated phone call that they were having difficulty verifying my insurance. I called back to straighten it out and was on hold listening to music for 30 minutes. Then the music stopped and the phone starting ringing. After about 10 rings, my call was disconnected. Called back, waited on hold for another 30 mins, and got disconnected. So I walked in. Told the clerk I was here to straighten out whatever the problem was with my insurance. Figured that was a better way to get things moving rather than ask for my script which was not ready. Clerk spoke with Pharmacist, and pharmacist said there was a problem determining how many drops the insurance would cover, so she didn't know how much to fill. I didn't have any answers to provide, but then she gave me the 3 ml bottle and out I went.

This store deserves minus stars. The most unprofessional business I have ever encountered. The Walgreens corporation should be very embarrassed by this location. They laugh in customers faces when they misinform patients. If this was the only pharmacy available, I would rather die. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can’t say I’ve had a bad experience with this Walgreen’s. I get my monthly prescription filledthere on an automatic basis. I’m notified through e- mail when my prescription is ready forpick up. My only problem is sometimes drive thru is shut down at the most inconvenient time, other than that everything is OK.??
