The previous owner of this location lost the business and my watch was lost in the process. Now, I only get BS answers when I call to find out the whereabouts of my watch. "We're looking into it and we'll call you back. " No one calls me back so I follow up with them a few weeks later. That cycle has now repeated 3 times.

Took my wife's diamond engagement ring with 14kt gold band in the store to get it fixed. One of the prongs had broken. They sent it out to one of their other stores to fix and it came back with white gold now part of the band near the prongs. They were also now white gold. After a brief discussion they indicated they would send it back out to be fixed. When the ring was ready to be picked up it looked horrible. The 14kt gold band looked like it just came out of a bubble gum machine. I immediately took it to the largest jewelry store in the United States - Kay Jewelers and the ring inspected. Not only was the band now fake, i.e., not 14kt gold, but the 1 carat diamond, which I still have the original paperwork for, was now no longer a natural stone. They replaced the diamond in that ring with a fake man-made stone. I contacted both White Marsh Md (i.e., Perry Hall store) where the manager blamed me for having bought a fake ring 31 years ago; again, despite having all of the original paperwork and insurance papers. I then called their customer service/location in Catonsville. I was assured that they would determine what was going on and call me back. Just like the Store Manager, Customer Service never called back. Its been over a week and have yet to hear anything from their so-called customer service. Beware of taking jewelry into any of these stores to be fixed. A Better Business Bureau complaint has been filed as well as a complaint with the Attorney General of Maryland.

BUYER BEWARE! Do not take good jewelry in for repair as they take your good jewelry out and swap it for costume jewelry. Took a diamond engagement ring there to be fixed. I have all of the original paperwork for a 14kt yellow gold ring with a 1-carat diamond and took it there to be fixed as one of the prongs broke. First they tried to fix it by inserting what appeared to be white gold near the prongs when clearly the ring was yellow gold. Had it sent back to be fixed a second time, and now all of a sudden the 14kt yellow gold band is gold plated and the diamond, which was certified, natural stone, is now a man-made diamond. The Manager said he would call me back but never did. But really, what can be said when it is all said and done. NEVER TAKE JEWELRY WORTH ANY VALUE TO THIS establishment. They will take your good jewelry and replace with fake stuff and then act as if what I originally bought from another store was fake to begin with. Funny thing though, I had this ring over the years at many other reputable jewelry stores and not once was I told that the band was gold plated or that the diamond was not real. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the Maryland Attorney General's Office for what appears to be their practice of bait and switch.

Very bad experience with the White Marsh store, as my husband just purchased a birthday gold chain for my cross. It does not work right and I do not like it.
