I am overall dissatisfied with my experience at this Hair Cuttery. I will start out with the good: my eyebrows look nice. I’d botched them when over plucking a few weeks back and the hair stylist did a good job at improving them.
Unfortunately, the cutting of my hair itself went too far. I stated that I wanted no more than six inches off and I even showed the hair dresser, pointing to my hair, not to cut more than that amount off. In spite of even saying herself that because I have curly hair, she will have to be careful not to cut too much off, she still cut too much off.
When I began to grow concerned because I noticed her cutting too much off, I very politely asked to turn so that I could see the back of my hair in the mirror. I asked for her to please not cut off more than she had. Upon my asking this, she responded a bit rudely, stating in a tone that made me feel like I was the stupid one, that she didn’t plan to cut anymore off than she had.
I just feel like this hair dresser was amateur. She did a good job with my eyebrows and my hair doesn’t look botched. It is just too short. I feel like she needs to do a better job at listening to and treating her customers with a little more respect. It is possible that she and I just didn’t vibe the best or communicate with one another properly, but ultimately, it is her job to meet me where I am.
Also, in regards to the shop as a whole, I understand Saturdays can be busy days, but when I came in 15 minutes early for my appointment, it didn’t seem to register with the hair dresser that I had asked for a trim as well as having my brows done. I had to make it clear that I had also asked to have a TRIM, which is now a CUT, when scheduling my appointment over the phone.
I am giving this Hair Cuttery two stars because like I said before, it wasn’t all bad, but it was bad enough so that I never plan to come to this location ever again. Now, I am going to have to straighten my hair pretty regularly so it doesn’t look so short and that is time consuming. Time which I could be devoting to other things. Get a better sense of professionalism going in your shop, please.

I got my root color from that place . She applied once but my hair was still gray . I asked her to apply color again because my all hair was still gray but she was not listening . Then she called her Manager to ask that should i color her hair again . I was such a non professional attitude . She again apply color on my hair but 50% were still gray . I said there are still gray She said there is problem with your hair our color is perfect . Then I got my worst hair cut . After second application she said we will not dry your hair coz we already applied color twice on your hair . So I came back with worst root color and hair cut with high charges . I was like a night mere . It was my last visit to this hair cuttry . I was a regular customer but will never go again .

I had Layla cut my hair and i had the worst experience ever i have very long hair that is two toned. I asked her to cut my hair straight across in the back as i dont get any layers and some face framing but asked for very minimal to be cut off the front. She messed up my hair so badly that i had to change my hair color to blend in the butcher job she did and had to go to a second salon to get them to try to blend her cut in. Which the second salon basically told me there wasn’t much they could do because she did such a terrible job. Even the second stylist made a comment “was she trying to give you a mullet”. Before going to the second salon i did go back to try to let her fix what she did. Laylas solution was to just keep chopping and chopping more and more hair to try and blend it which just made everything worse. The second stylist in the salon spoke to her about how to cut my hair the correct way and Layla just ignored her. She did ask the second stylist to cut my hair instead and she basically refused and try to blame it on my hair not being styled . I added pictures of before and after.

I had the best experience today. I have been to a couple hair cutterys and know that they take on brand new people fresh out of school so it can be a hit or miss. My last haircut was a total miss(same brand different location). I walked in and was able to be seen right away. After going over what I wanted with the first stylist, she wasnt confident in what I wanted and instead of plowing ahead she got someone more experienced. I am 100% grateful for this! She was new but knew it would be better to be honest than have me leave unhappy. The stylist that she did get, Laila, was by far the best I have ever had at any of the locations and from any barber shop I have been to. She took the time to check that the length was right before moving on, mid cut she was checking to make sure we were still on the same page, and at the end she help show me some products to revive my hair. By far the best experience. I am definately going to book with her again.

I went in today after booking online for a color package. Laila worked on my hair and she did a phenomenal job of both color and cut. She also did a blowout that gave me bouncy curls that were so cute. I have had some horrible experiences with salons in the past and was scared to get my hair done again as it's been a long time. But I walked out today feeling beautiful and my hair felt healthy! All the girls in the salon were lovely and had great communication. The other clients around me all left with great hair and big smiles!
Requested style: Single color, partial highlights, wash, cut, blowout, and olaplex treatment
Stylist: My stylist was Laila, she did a great job and was a pleasure to work with.

Great experience. I love the service there. Leila was great. She was patients and has good customer service. Made appointment on same day and was in and out in about 40 mins.
5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ for Leila. Going there for sure again.

This is my first time at the hair Cuttery. Therefore i’m not gonna trash the entire place because of the way my short experience went but I was so uncomfortable I ended up leaving and didn’t get my hair done at all Just to avoid further discomfort or stress. Initially, when I called to schedule, the woman I spoke with, was very friendly. I was concerned about my hair because Its long but I accidentally cut a braid from my up-do in the center front ( Not an entire section of hair just a piece) So I was concerned about What can be done front wise? I am biracial my hair is very thick , full but thin at its root I also stated. She made me feel like I have nothing to worry about These are professionals and I’ll be fine. She was very sweet, I was excited. She was also very attentive after I came into the salon when it was time for my appointment. The stylist I was placed with on the other hand made me super uncomfortable ( Nicki i was told her name was ) and just all around unprofessional. I got there and she was still working on someone’s hair, I was A little thrown of because they have a late policy But things happen I didn’t mind. So I sat there and waited. The stylist continued to yell every other five minutes that she was coming And I just replied ok. At Almost 130 and my appointment was for 1 PM I’m finally in her chair and She asked what I would like I let her know a color touch up on roots only and a wash/dry and flat iron. She then kind of gave me this look of disgust and said “ I usually don’t do silk press, yes I know how but thats not what I do” and Proceeded to ask the woman behind her if she had an opening to take me instead . The woman tells her no. I am a store manager for walgreens. from a business standpoint That conversation in itself in front of a customer is just rude And, tasteless. there was so much attitude and I didn’t understand why.. is It something to do with my hair? The stylist ( Nicki) tells me she doesn’t have any flat irons.The other Stylist just started to stare at me, and And then grabbed her flat iron to give to the Nicki stylist And she replies “ Oh I don’t need it” At that point, I just was really uncomfortable & confused about the entire exchange And decided to leave. my staff has nothing but Good things to say about the stylist they have worked with here so Maybe I just got unlucky. This was so Inconvenient today and such a waste of time.

I went as a walk-in to Layla. She def helped me revive my hair after it was damaged & not giving volume or good curl pattern. She’s a new stylist & I definitely recommend her.

Wendy was absolutely fantastic with my 5 year old who has had issues with haircuts in the past. She was kind and attentive and made her feel important. We will definitely be back to see her again!
