“The Market has the appeal of a Trader Joe's and it's right here on Cobb Island. The market is always clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. They usually ask if I found what I was seeking and locate the item if it is available. The food is fresh and well priced. I enjoy the market and am proud to have such a gem of a market place within walking distance. The also accommodate the island with extended hours and are generous in their community support.”

“Good prices here, you can find pretty much anything you need for the beach like swim clothing, floaties, toys, etc. plus a Simply Southern collection, souvenirs, gifts, and a small selection of thrift items. Not a ginormous amount of selection or stock but it's better than the boardwalk beach store on the shore front.”
“I'm a long-time local and patron of this store. The staff is always cheerful and extremely helpful. I've asked them to stock a particular wine for me and they always have it ready to go with a cold one in the case. Their range of beers and wines consistently satisfy my own particular needs and I can't emphasize enough how pleasant it is to deal with folks who know how to deliver great service along with a smile. She was friendly, efficient and went above and beyond of what was expected. I asked for assistance in finding a couple of items and she was more than happy to help. “Dahlgren commissary. Small but they try to keep good variety of products. Some national brands replaced with Military brands. I think lesser quality. I'm not shopping at off base supermarkets during the pandemic.”

“This is definitely a small town store and I love it. They serve food, baked goods, preserves, and so much more! I've lived in La Plata for months and I'm kicking myself for not stopping by sooner. The food is yummy and the staff is amazing! I had the crab cake sandwich and it was by far the best crab cakes I've had. Hubby had the shrimp platter. The shrimp was definitely a good size. I will definitely be coming back. ❤️❤️”

“Thank you to the hard working owner for keeping the soda machines ice cold and fully stocked and giving her full attention and care to every person who walks in! Lots of snacks and old fashioned candy. There are 15 packs of soda for $8 with a decent variety to choose from. Clean, bright and comfortable environment unlike the other dank and dusty choices off the highway.The store closes early but there are 3 soda machines of Coke and Pepsi products at 75 cents a can and $1.90 for 20 oz bottles. I have probably bought at least 100 sodas here and they always deliver my drink and my change.Thank you Dan's Store owner for being only good neighbor on rock point rd.”
