Would Not recommend. Very unaccommodating. Not sympathetic to military personnel during time of war. I should have read all of the 1 star reviews prior to going. They were distinctly on point.

I was very happy with the look and the initial visit. Cykeithia was friendly and my new hairdo was awesome. However, there was confusing and conflicting information given by multiple texts and emails before the initial appointment, including a mandatory post of the salon's info on the customer's facebook page. That was easy enough to deal with. There was also confusion after the initial visit. I was told I got two free follow-up visits. There was no great detail about the visits, so I assumed that was where I would be washed and the locs checked. I contacted Cykeithia to make an appointment right after my initial visit, two weeks out, then three weeks out. She always needed to call or text me back, and even told me if my locks looked fine, I didn't need to come back. I never got an appointment. Then at about 4 weeks out, she told me I had passed the 30-day mark and would have to pay for any full-time services (wash, retwist, etc.) , though she would give me 50% off the follow-up visit, and that she had only offered one. I had never heard of any 30-day mark, and I had attempted to make the follow-up appointments to no avail. When I protested, I was told I was being aggressive. And she hung up on me. I had actually offered to just go ahead and pay for the full service, but she insisted that I do the follow-up first, which I saw as a waste of time, since I needed a wash and she could do all of the explaining, loc check, etc., at the same time. So after all of that, I decided to find someone more stable, less controlling, and much more professional to follow-up with. In closing, I will just say that the communication was disjointed and all over the place, and that Cykeithia has not found her footing as a professional yet. While the customer may not always be right, the customer should be treated with respect, and the professional should have clarity, make right on her mistakes, and keep her word.
