“Loved this property and location! Upgraded to the Executive Suite, what a treat! Very clean and properly stocked, the suite is very spacious and comfortable. The resort is beautiful with many amenities and options available.”

“Excellent bed, I usually don't sleep very well on hotel beds, this one was excellent.

The room was reasonably quiet, didn't hear the neighbors.

However the room had only one nightstand, and terrible lighting for video conferencing. The room is dark without sunlight.

Lastly the bathroom fittings are all reversed.”

“Edward was an excellent front desk clerk. He was very friendly and had a pleasant greeting and inviting personality. Edward was really a people person. The room was not a luxury room, but it was comfortable and clean. There was no nightstand lamp near the bed and the TV remote control did not work. Overall, it was worth the reasonable rate that I paid. Thanks Edward for having a great attitude! ?”

“Excellent location, great guest staff, provided great customer service throughout the stay. This hotel and the room was one of the cleanest hotels I have visited in a while. Close to DCA Airport and restaurants within walking distance. 10/10, highly recommend this location/hotel.”

“Perfection! From the time you drive into the entryway of the hotel you are greeted with top tier service. The service here at the Conrad has to be the BEST service i've ever received. The hotel is gorgeous and the location is perfect to get around. This was our first stay at the Conrad but we'll definitely be backRooms: Amazing, Luxurious.Nearby activities: Shopping, Museums, Arena, The Capital, RestaurantsSafety: Felt extremely safe in the area.Walkability: Within walking distance of Arena, Museums, Shops and restaurantsNoteworthy details: My husband and I walked from the Capital One Arena back to the hotel, upon entering the employeee greeted us and offered us a bottle of water (We were in need of the water lol) but that attention to detail was superb.”

“This place was wonderful! It's a gorgeous hotel and the food is good as well. The best part is the staff, however. Everyone, including at the front desk, the door (especially Seidou and Dawit), and at the restaurant (Sujata) is very kind. You really feel special. The only comment I have is that it would have been nice to have coffee or a kettle in the room. Thanks all for a wonderful stay!”

“The rooms are clean, beautiful, and very spacious! The atrium was stunning and very relaxing. The placement of the gym and pool was difficult to locate but nonetheless nice and clean. My only negative experience was parking. We have a large truck and the public parking area was very tight! Beware of that part. Other than that, AMAZING!!

Rooms: Rooms were AMAZING! Best stay I've been to in awhile and we travel OFTEN!

Walkability: The Carlyle was across the street plus MANY shops and eatery close by.

Food and drinks: Hilton Honors complimentary drinks! Food was great, good service as well”

“So SYMPATHIC service. It was always fun to talk to everyone! The rooms are comfortable and there are some little extras like tea as well! I slept exquisite. And you‘re close to Dupont Circle metro station as well.

Walkability: +wheelchair friendly”

“This hotel is a gem. The artistic nature of it makes it very unique. The front desk staff were so attentive and prompt. The room was clean, and spacious. The roof top with the pool is a great place to hangout and network. The location is very convenient. Walking distance to White House and other sites. Will be back!”

“Eaton Workshop DC was the host for a recent two-day conference I organized, and for the most part, it was a solid experience. Working with the conference service manager was smooth sailing, and they were responsive and attentive to our needs. Any issues that popped up along the way were swiftly taken care of once we flagged them to the team's attention. On the day of the conferences, the staff was welcoming and accommodated our needs, which was greatly appreciated. However, there are a couple of areas where Eaton could improve. Firstly, let's talk chairs. We spent two full days in conference spaces with two different types of chairs, and both were akin to sitting on bricks. Investing in some comfier, ergonomic options would do wonders for long events like ours. Secondly, the food. The catering menu left a bit to be desired. Options were limited, and what we did get wasn't exactly top-notch. Even the cookies were disappointingly small, barely bigger than Oreos, which left us scratching our heads. A menu overhaul would be a wise move. Despite these critiques, everything else about Eaton Workshop DC was pretty good. Attendees enjoyed their stay, and surprisingly, the bathrooms garnered quite a positive buzz. So, if you're looking for a venue with impressive lavatories, Eaton's got you covered.”

“Update After Checkout:

Though I stand by my various areas for improvement, I’m updating my review from 2-stars to 4 for a few reasons:

1) our stay improved after that first day, including having the internet working flawlessly the last two days of our stay.

2) our room, and the hotel overall, were actually very nice (though the lack of attention to the various details I highlight below still were surprising for a property of this quality).

3) the front desk manager Adam went out of his way to make up for the various issues we were having and ensured our stay improved after those first 36 hours. His responsiveness to our concerns made a big difference.

Original review: This supposed 4-star property isn’t yet ready for prime time. I’m staying here now and we’ve had a terrible experience, despite staying in one of the nicest rooms available (a one bedroom suite on the top floor).

Where to begin…perhaps with the internet that has maybe worked 2 hours out of our 36 here so far. Or how about the bait-and-switch “Autumn special” that included breakfast when we booked, but failed to mention that the restaurant isn’t yet open for breakfast so what’s included is coffee and a croissant at the coffee shop off the lobby. Add that to the terrible tv interface in the rooms that claims to allow casting from your favorite streaming service but doesn’t work, no towels or cups for water in the gym, no place to get ice or fill water bottles on the floor, only one towel hook in our enormous bathroom, meaning one of us has to leave our wet towel draped over a chair in the room, etc., and you get a hotel that looks nice, but fails at so many important details that makes a good hotel stay. Oh, and the hotel is far away from the sites and action in Alexandria. Won’t be staying here again and will be asking for a refund for our special “breakfast” package so we can use that money on a real breakfast elsewhere.”

“AMAZING SERVICE FROM STAFF!! Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very very small (smaller than downtown Toronto, I wish I'd checked the square footage) and the walls are thin. It was really hard to get to bed, as DC is a booming area, and we heard a lot of fighting and police cars all hours of the night.”

“Great location - just minutes from the Mall and all the sights. Breakfast really good and staff just lovely.

Walkability: Easy walk down to the National Mall. Spy museum literally next door.”

“We enjoyed our stay at The Darcy Hotel (which does not look anything like the pictures we saw on Yelp). It's nice inside and very clean and newer looking. The attached restaurant is upscale and serves very good food at high prices. Rooms are quiet, which we like. Bathrooms are European style (small). They have people to open the door for you when you walk up to the hotel and most of the staff are great. They also offer a free Darcy cocktail between 5:00-5:30 in the evening. We tried it and both of us thought it was good. Unfortunately, since the Smithsonian Museums don't close until 5:30 pm, we only got to enjoy this benefit once during our stay. The only downside was that if you have anything wrong in the room and you need assistance, no one will ever come to your room to fix the problem. We tried twice to get assistance (both on the phone and in person at the front desk) and my husband ended up fixing the stopped up sink after we got there and then he figured out how to fix the rattling noise from the furnace vent. Lucky for me, he's REALLY good at fixing things because, as I mentioned, repeated requests for help go unanswered - maybe they don't have maintenance people there? Dunno. I took one star off for that.”

“Great place to stay, will more than likely stay here again when going back to DC. It’s in a great spot for restaurants and so close to the metro. Something to be aware of that is common in the city is they have valet parking at a price, and while there are parking garages/lots around as well, it still was between the $30-40 range over night. For me this was not a dealbreaker as I had anticipated this beforehand. When it comes to breakfast they have a restaurant downstairs or you can get room service to the room. We got the room service, which was a little bit on the pricey end, but only had a $5 delivery charge to have it sent to the room.

Nearby activities: Lots of things to do nearby as far as restaurants and local attractions.

Walkability: Very walkable to the surroundings and easy quick access to the metro station.”

“My sister's and I went to MGM national harbor for my sister Robin's birthday and the six of us had a wonderful time we relax we enjoyed each other's company this was the first time that we've had an outing together in probably 20 years because you know our lives to control and we're doing things and working the kids and you know all the aspects that life gives us so we decided for Robin's birthday we were taking her to the casino we really and truly enjoyed ourselves we laughed we ate we gambled it was a fabulous time with my sisters we just and truly enjoyed it and I would recommend for a sister day out or brother day out or whatever kind of day out you want to go to with other adults you were truly enjoy it Even just walking around or looking at the ferris wheel just seeing the
size the whole atmosphere was just comfortable and we made plans to make sure that once a month we have a sister's day out whether we go there which we probably will or somewhere else but I love my sisters and enjoy the day immensely”

“This is a lovely boutique hotel in a great location at Pennsylvania and I Street. It looks and feels and is warm and cosy. It has a great little restaurant and delightful bar/lounge. My bedroom was large with a separate sitting room and bathroom. It was a very comfortable bed with excellent pillows. It had a well stocked mini bar and desk to work from with great WiFi. The front of house staff are delightful, particularly the very helpful doormen! I'll be back!”

“5 stars across the board for this hotel- the room was unbelievable. Completely spotless, and just stunning all over. I was upgraded to the pres suite, the team at the Hyatt really took good care of me.The breakfast was top notch (I’m not even a breakfast person) and they took good care of my vegan cousin as well. Above and beyond with most things. I didn’t get to use the gym or the pool but stopped by it seemed to be decent enough for a good workout. The linens felt crisp and fresh, the pillows the perfect density. Bed was very comfortable.I used my 4 pm check out to take meetings and work from the room. The best part might’ve been the bathroom, honestly. Staff were friendly and truly helpfulAlso location is fantastic, by GW and George Town and walking distance to the Lincoln memorial and the rest of the park”

“EXCELLENT choice for a stay with children. Our king bedroom had a door between us and the mini kitchenette and living room, which gave us plenty of extra space as well as an area to block off so our 4 month old wouldn't be woken up by the light. Nightly happy hour is a lot of fun (my husband went without me once when I wasn't back from my conference yet and ended up getting a double pour of wine since the bartender thought our kid was cute). There's a large number of selections for breakfast including made-to-order omelets. The metro stop is a short walk away. Staff were super friendly and people were walking up to ask if we were Zoe's parents by the end of the trip. I'll happily stay here again. You get significantly more space and more free food/benefits than other hotels of similar price in the area.”

“rooms could use an update. Had a broken handle in the bathroom (was solved when told). Had to ask for a mini fridge otherwise it’s not in the room. Maid service kind of done in a half effort. Great location, great food in the restaurant, great predisposition from the staff at the reception desk.

Nearby activities: Great shopping district

Safety: Super safe neighborhood

Walkability: Not very near from the national mall and main museums but a short bus ride away”
