“I am happy to recommend Town Jewelers as an exceptional custom jeweler. Ali and Hamid, father and son, are highly trained professionals, and approachable and sincere. They made the experience of designing wedding bands both enjoyable and informative. They warmly greeted us by name during each appointment, answered questions we had and never pressured us to purchase or tried to "upsell" us. They also seek customer satisfaction and gave an honest breakdown of all costs, working within our budget. The quality of their materials and craftsmanship is top-rate (please see the attached photo) and offers an excellent value. Work is done on the premises and custom jewelry modifications were provided free of charge. Additionally, they are trained in watch-repair and worked on a wristwatch, providing a new battery and band. While we considered a number of jewelers in the DC area, we will be glad to return to Town Jewelers in the future. From our perspective, they love what they do and offer an experience which builds loyalty. Thanks, Ali & Hamid!”

“I love coming to barre at the DuPont studio and can’t recommend it highly enough. The classes are challenging (there are multiple formats) but inclusive of people of all ages and fitness levels. When I first started barre, I didn’t anticipate big changes in my body because the motions are low-impact, but when I go to classes consistently (3x a week) I notice muscle definition, better posture, a smaller waistline, and even better sleep. (And that’s not just my opinion - other people noticed too!) I know there’s no such thing as a quick fix in fitness but after a month of barre I felt so much stronger and more confident in my body. I owe so much of that to the kind and helpful instructors, who are supportive and encouraging while offering correction. I love this studio!!”

“TLDR; I hurt my back in August 2022 and was immobile for almost four months. When my physicians cleared me to exercise, I used a Class Pass to take Pure Barre Foundations at this location and had the great fortune of meeting Katie. Right off the bat, she made me feel welcome and gave me a ton of modifications to use until I felt more comfortable.My first class was in January 2023, and I went 1-2 times per week, starting slowly and asking for help if I felt any pain. I signed up for the Breaking Down the Barre classes, which helped me understand which muscles I should and should NOT be using for each exercise.In addition to my back, I also had neck issues and could barely turn my head over my right shoulder and have had wrist problems since I was a teen. As the instructors got to know me and my issues, they helped me get through each class, so I still got a workout but did not hurt myself.As of today, Barre has almost eliminated my back problems, my neck turns all the way over both shoulders, my posture has improved so that I don't see my shoulders in my peripheral vision anymore, and I can do real pushups (modified) without hurting my wrists.I have been doing Pilates and Yoga for years and took those classes as well, but I truly think that the isometric tuck used in Barre helped me build back my core muscles and took the pressure off my back, neck, and wrists. This location has fantastic instructors who really got to know me and helped me feel super comfortable learning the exercises.”

“Excellent customer service! We were in need of ballet shoes and tights for an MSA performance. I called ahead and the staff person was cordial and confirmed size availability. We arrived right before closing but were greeted respectfully and kindly. Our items were already waiting for us at the register but Meagan recommended that we confirm sizing. She was super kind and patient. She ensured that we had the right items and that my child was comfortable with the shoes. We walked out of the store and my children remarked on such a great customer experience. I will be sure to patron this business and recommend them to others.”

“Update 6/2023: so happy with the new management at Amano! They’re friendly, helpful and the inventory is much improved. I now go there more frequently to see what new things they have.Previous review: I'm so glad to hear others say they've had great customer service b/c it's been hit or miss with me. Sometimes i'll get a very nice sales woman and other times, like today, my daughter and i walked in, looked around the jewelry by the front register and left 5 mins later and not one person acknowledged us. We've also gone bought something there and literally, nothing was said to us. Not hello/can i help you/thank you for shopping with us. As i said, there have been times when they've been friendly but it's kind of odd that it's not consistent.”

“I LOVE this place. Alot of the clothing is not my style, but there are enough accessories that I like and it is really cheap. They change over the merchandise pretty often. It is usually worth my time to visit. Nothing over $25. All the earrings were $10. I got three pairs today. I also scored a gorgeous scarf that I would have happily paid $25 for and it was $10. It was a beautiful water color looking design in a blush pink with a couple white flowers and the green leaves were a lovely tone. Sometimes you don't find anything, but it is worth it to drop in here and there. It was great for Christmas presents last year. I find the ladies that work there helpful, cheery and accommodating!”

“I joined here in December 2021 and have thoroughly enjoyed both the classes and the people! Going to PB Bethesda is often the highlight of my day and I have met several wonderful people and gained some friends as well. They validate parking for unlimited members which is great if you take classes multiple times a week (otherwise it’s $5 to park in the lot, street parking is available for $2.70, and the studio is close to the metro if you don’t want to drive). Classes are offered at convenient times and the ability to book ahead on the app makes planning my classes every month very easy. I am glad I joined this studio and look forward to reaching my goals!”
