After a horrible experience at a different dog kennel we found our forever dog boarder. Like I told my husband the first time we left our dogs there… it doesn’t feel like a “business”, it feels like I’m leaving my dogs with a family member. She’s so sweet and treats our dogs like her own. And our dogs always come home happy and healthy. And believe me I know what it’s like to have your dogs come home traumatized by a boarding place. I never feel bad or anxious leaving my dogs here. I have had 4 other family members bring their dogs here and are also repeat customers now!

Scarlett is amazing and provides peace-of-mind to your loved one. I highly recommended the amazing Dog House and their staff to anyone looking for a place for their doggo. Scarlett and her staff treat you and your pet like family. Scarlett even emailed us to let us know our Juniper was enjoying her stay and having fun. This kind of service is paramount when traveling away from your pet. Thanks Scarlett and staff - we really appreciate all you do <3

Scarlett and the rest of the staff at the Dog House have done a wonderful job of caring for my older dog when my family goes away. They have cared for our dog three or four times now and we wouldn't feel comfortable sending her anywhere else! I really like the fact that they ask you to bring your own dog food so your dog stays on the diet that they're used to. Many kennels don't do that and even charge you extra if you bring your own food. No hidden fees or extra charges at the Dog House! We love them and are so glad to know she is well cared for when we go away.

Thanks again for keeping my big buddy while we were away and could not take him with us! As always he looks as good as when he went in and no issues! It sounded like he had an upset tummy, but your team took care of him and he is doing much better now, thanks! I recommend the Dog House to all, they are very caring.

There truly aren’t enough great things I could say about The Dog House, Scarlett and her team. They recently took great care of our puppy who had the best time at the farm. Since it was our first time leaving him, Scarlett was super communicative, patient with this new dog mom and super loving of our guy.When our flights got delayed by days, Scarlett jumped right in and was able to continue to take awesome care and happy to do so!Not only did our puppy have a great experience, so did we. Scarlett and her group care so much for those animals in her care and extends her graciousness to their families as well.We will be long time visitors to The Dog House and will gladly refer all of our friends there too!

If anyone is looking for a long-term boarding option for your pup(s), Scarlett is the go-to person! I had to travel overseas for 6 weeks due to a family emergency, and she accommodated my hyper and powerful pitbull, a grumpy old pitbull-boxer mix, and a black lab who has to be with a human all the time. The trio have got into a fierce fight with an inexperienced dog sitter before, so I was extremely nervous about leaving them with someone else. But Scarlett was an amazing mom with great leadership - she created a routine for each dog at the farm and took care of them so well that they came home much healthier and happier! She was also very understanding about our financial strain and worked with me to navigate the payments. Knowing that my pups were safe and happy made my trip so much easier.

A hidden gem amongst the surrounding counties of Mt Airy. I have recently over the past few months used The Dog House for my boarding needs. Not only is the facility precious but the attention and walks that my beloved dog received is priceless. Easy communication and trust while I am out of town is why I keep returning. 5 Star business and will keep referring friends to this location for boarding needs.

Scarlett helped our family during a challenging move and subsequent construction project at our home. Her rates were reasonable and she worked with us to care for our dogs during the day, several days a week, until our construction project was completed. Without her flexibility things would have been much more difficult for us and for our dogs. Not only do we recommend them but our dogs recommend them as well ?

My 7 month old German shepherd stayed here for 2 weeks. It is a nice farm, close to nature with lot of open space. While dropping off my dog, the owner, Scarlett, personally received us and carefully took note of the things that i handed over including food, toys and medicine for the dog. She even gave me and my daughter a quick tour of her facility, including pet goats and pigs, and shared stories about how she got them. Everything went well during pickup as well. Scarlett handled the entire process well and she was pretty comfortable handling my dog. I would highly recommend this place to other dog owners.
