Scratch another thrift store off the list. This once was a great thrift store with pretty good prices. Unfortunately the greed bug has bitten them. Prices are ridiculous. Some items are priced higher than Goodwill. Even on half price days the prices are too much.

You never know what treasures or gems await you at St. James thrift store. I soo appreciate the friendly staff and the clean appearance. I donated items that no longer fit my kids and found something for each of them. Win win all around.

I may be biased since I grew up around here, but St. James Thrift Shop is still the best thrift store around. I hadn't been back to the town in years, but walking into SJTS felt like coming home. It's a warm, friendly store, with deals every day, and an awesome, ever changing collection. Every time I visit Mt. Airy, I make it a point to stop by.

Stopped by for the first time this weekend, and absolutely loved it! Terrific selection of women's clothing (dresses, shirts, skirts, blazers) and at incredible prices - almost all clothing was $3-$5 and in great condition. They did have a few new items with original tags for slightly higher price points as well. I got 2 blazers, a dress, and 2 shirts all for only $15. They had brands varying from American Eagle to Ann Taylor to Talbots to Philosophy. And a few vintage pieces scattered in their selection. Not the biggest space in the world, but filled with goodies! If you're willing to dig through some of the racks, you'll be sure to find something you love.

This place is adorable! There's always a unique sale going on either for homewear, clothing, or kids attire. I came in today and got a baby swing that retailed for about $180 and got it for $12.50 on sale. Most clothes are under three dollars unless it's a nicer brand of clothing or new condition. Staff is friendly and the environment of the shop is very quiet. I feel like there's something for everyone in here! There's a cute kids' section with toys and clothes where kids can play as well.
