Always a pleasant experience at MAAH! Staff and Veterinarians have always been friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable. I've taken my dogs and cats there for routine wellness check-ups, vaccinations, and dealing with illnesses. Prices seem reasonable in my personal opinion. If the location/distance is alright for you, I highly recommend being a client there.

I’ve only been here once, but I can confirm I’m taking all three of my dogs here now. I used to go to country vet but without dragging their name through the mud, I would not do any major operations like a spay or neuter there ever again. I made an appointment at this place, just to introduce myself and see if I liked them, knowing I would have another female needing spay after her first cycle ends. I didn’t even know that tacking a stomach in a deep chested breed was something I should consider! My last vet didn’t mention it. It’s to prevent GDV, the mother of all emergencies with dogs, so if there’s a chance that I could prevent it, I would want to know! The vet explained that it is a procedure that would really only be done during a spay or neuter, but not worth opening back up to tack a dog. She sent me studies, she was sooooo informative and knowledgeable and just confident and honest. I felt so comfortable. I was dreading having to spay another dog after my other experience, but I feel totally at ease making the appt here. Bedside manners are phenomenal from the front desk all the way to the back. I’ve only been here once, but first impressions are everything. I also have a reactive dog, and they did not act annoyed and inconvenienced, plugging their ears rolling their eyes like the other place I went did.

I transferred my dog's care to Mt Airy Animal Hospital from my previous wet. I was unhappy with it. It turned out to be a great choice as she was given great care, and they were very gentle and thorough and found things the previous vet didn't.

Dr. Riley and her team made a sad day more bearable and helped us reach a wise decision about putting our beloved lab, Daisy, down. They were patient, knowledgeable, empathetic and their love for our dog was clear. Dr. Riley was willing to do as much, or as little, as Daisy's "parents" (owner seems too cold- if anything Daisy owned us!) without being pushy. I can't imagine a better veterinarian team. I recommend Mt. Airy Animal Hospital without hesitation. - Billie and Sergio

Receptionists are very helpful and friendly. Dr Riley and her technicians are patient and caring. The office is always spotlessly clean. My furbabies are in good hands with this vet. Thank you!

Great place to take your pet! The staff members are kind and professional and patient with my pet every time. The vet is knowledgeable and takes time to explain things and answer concerns that you may have.

I wouldn’t recommend this vet unless it is an emergency for your pet. They are not only ridiculously expensive ($600+ for bloodwork alone) but they immediately recommended a treatment plan for our 4lb dog that included new medication. Upon speaking to her original vet who has known her all her life she told us she feels the treatment is unnecessary and that her elevated test results were due to her age and nothing more. I understand everyone needs to make a living but doing so at the cost of my pets health is 100% not okay. Will not be returning and i recommend checking out vets in the valley for much cheaper prices and a less invasive way to care for your pet.

Mount Airy Animal Hospital staff was fantastic with our new puppy, Milo! They did a thorough exam and answered all of the questions we had. He didn't even notice when they gave him his shots! We really liked the staff and will continue to bring Milo here!

I just moved to the area, and I was nervous about finding a new veterinarian for my elderly dog who has multiple health problems. The doctor took the time to read through my dog’s extensive medical records, understood his conditions, and kept my dog happy and calm throughout the exam. I am so happy to have found a great vet!

We had an emergency on a busy Monday and Mt. Airy A.H. graciously offered a last-minute appointment. They were caring, put my anxious mind at ease, and took care of my old girl who is already improving. They have definitely gained a new client!

Staff is friendly, and all the vets are knowledgable. They took their time with my new puppy to make sure she had a positive experience getting her puppy shots. They were ultra compassionate and kind when it was time to put my old dog to sleep. They even allowed my bird to be there with him as he passed, as his favorite past time was watching my bird. (He was a border collie). Highly recommend this vet.
