For anyone who knows Mt.Airy...You know this used to be a family owned video store for years; now a renovated liqour store. Anita's is great not only because it's in Frederick county (open longer and earlier for those of you that don't know) but also because the owner will gladly special order with no fuss. Also, the staff will call as soon as your shipment comes in. Customers are not forgotten; that's what we love about this place.

I have generally found the people very friendly here but I had one strange experience in which a very hostile male employee sold me a pack of cigarettes for $15. I had purchased a number of items and did not realize this until I got home and looked more closely at the receipt. When I called the number provided I got an angry male with an accent screaming that that's how much cigarettes cost in New York City. I stopped by there the other day and saw him still there, stocking shelves. I won't be back.

The staff here was very helpful when I was looking for liquor and wine. Fairly large selection of both and reasonable prices. The big draw for me is the weird stuff they have. They sell a Russian potato vodka in an AK-47 shaped bottle that is delicately laid in a wooden box filled with straw. I also saw liquor sold in buffalo and katana shaped bottles. Unlike most stores around here, Anitas is open all the time, including Sundays.

The staff there was very friendly and super helpful... Prices were average, depending on what you got...

Anita's Liquor has a good selection of wines. Prices are ok but not great. Since it is in Frederick county it's open on Sunday's which I like since I live in neighboring Carroll county which alcohol is not sold on Sundays.
