It is a nice place for meeting, professional or fun. There is a golf club on site, even a police desk I believe. The location and there is ample parking for everyone. You do have to part and walk for about 2mn or 3mn if you wear heels i think to enter the main building.

Dear Ms. Zina Saunders,I hope this note finds you well and thriving. As we reflect on the success of the memorial/repast of our loved one, we are compelled to extend our gratitude once more for the outstanding service provided by both the venue and your exceptional staff (Ms. Renee, Ms. Taylor and Mr. Jerome). The dedication demonstrated by your team did not go unnoticed. From the initial planning stages to the execution of the event, each member exhibited professionalism and a commitment to ensuring our guests had an unforgettable experience. Their attention to detail, prompt responsiveness, and willingness to go the extra mile truly set the Newton White Mansion apart. Moreover, the flexibility and adaptability your staff showcased in accommodating our specific needs and last-minute changes were remarkable. It eased the stress of planning, and we felt confident in the capabilities of the Newton White Mansion team throughout the entire process. The feedback we have received from our guests has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing admirations for the venue's aesthetics. It's clear that your team understands the importance of creating an atmosphere that not only meets but exceeds expectations. We value the partnership we have with the Newton White Mansion and look forward to the possibility of collaborating on future events (just not a memorial/repast – smile). Your commitment to excellence has left a lasting impression on us, and we will enthusiastically recommend the Newton White Mansion to others seeking a venue with both charm and superb service.Once again, thank you for your unwavering support and for contributing to the success of our event. We are grateful for the exceptional experience provided by the Newton White Mansion and its dedicated staff, with a special “shout out” to Ms. Renee, her customer service is stellar and beyond reapproach. It was such a pleasure to encounter such a fearfully and wonderfully made soul.Warm regards,Rosalind Floyd on behalf of the Fields Family

Served as a wedding planner for a 200 person wedding at this venue. Overall I was very pleased with the venue staff and the facilities. The space is beautiful but a little outdated in some areas. The best thing about this space is that all necessary components are on site: ceremony space, full industrial catering/kitchen space, bridal and groom space, reception area, and main rental elements (tables + chairs). The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, but the space manager is a bit strict. The venue also has interesting rules about who can do what in the space, and well as strike down policies. Planner tip - if you bride can afford it, hire a cleaning service to support with breakdown.

I am writing this review from a vendor standpoint. If you are a makeup artist coming to work here, pls note that there are no elevators, be prepared to truck your kit, chair, lights etc up the stairs. It’s also not set friendly for a team of artists, they never have tables or extra chairs. I’ve been here 3 times to work. One time I had to work from off the floor due to limited space and just recently we had to use a narrow dresser, be creative with your setup because it may not work. Also, during the summer months the air works when it wants so pack a fan or a small cooler to stay hydrated. The staff there setting up may not be readily available to open the door when you get there, I’ve had to look out back several times to get someone to open the door while lugging all my equipment.Lastly, there is slight distance from parking lot to front door. If you have a lot of items, consider driving to the front to drop off your stuff, then park and walk back down.

Newton is a great event space but the requirements from the type of catering services you are allowed to contract with to the many rules you have to abide by means you must ask the right questions ery early in your planning. Double check that your caterer meets sll of tge requirements before you commit. Call and ask specifically about your selected caterer to know if they are approved and on the preferred caterers list for Newton. If you wait too late to vet your caterer you will be forced to choose from Newtons preferred list that they will provide you. Caterers on that list are not cheap.Do your homework. We had a great event after jumping all the hoops and going through the obstacle course. Great staff on dzy of event on June 23rd. Weather was terrible. Torrents of rain. Staff was supportive and helpful. We lost $500 for the outdoor program Because you have to decide 2 days before the event whether you are going with the outdoor option. Why not the day of. It's not like they zre setting up on chairs outside 2 days before the event. But, i get it. They need to get staff in advance for the setup. Minus the loss of $500, catering requirements, difficulty to get on the schedule for a walk through as your event gets closer - my event was in June and they suggested to me a walk-through availability for July!Minus these hurdles I'll host my event at Newton again.

This place has the most beautiful, peaceful, and well-kept grounds. The parking lot is way too far for cute shoes to the entrance... time for some future plans for construction ?The bathroom ? is a bit outdated.

My daughter was recently married at this venue. This venue is very unusual and interesting to have a wedding in. Certainly is not your cookie cutter ball room from a hotel. There are a large variety of rooms for you to set up in: the grand dining room for your dinner Buffet, the ballroom for appetizers and drinks, and the grand atrium for the reception and also a beautiful outdoor patio if you’re going to be married outside. The bridal suite was really comfortable and convenient for my daughter to get her gown on and to get ready (plenty of room for attendants to get hair and makeup done) and there was a raised platform for her to step up onto and a three way mirror which made it very nice to get her into her dress. The groom had a nice suite to prepare in as well. As mother of the bride I had a blast that day and when all the dancing started my fiancé and I ran around the mansion and explored and it was interesting and cool. The event staff was very kind and accommodating and we requested the heat to be on in the morning because it was chilly and they made sure the day of that it was nice and warm where we had to get dressed and get hair done and get changed. Then when it got a little too warm they quickly set up a room air conditioner for us.HOWEVER, because it it is a part of parks and planning they are difficult to work with and there is very little flexibility, do read all of the fine print. This is not a fault of theirs. We could not rehearse there the night before nor could we set up and decorate the night before. It was a 1 o’clock wedding and the doors open at 10 so we had exactly 3 hours to get hair and make up done get into our gowns and decorate. Fortunately my daughter organized all the crafts and different things very exactly with instructions, and we had a team of attendees show up and help us out. The catering staff(that we hired as the mansion does not provide food services) was able to very nicely set the tables and get everything ready for the mid afternoon appetizers, drinks and dinner. It went off seamlessly and the staff was quite supportive throughout the day although we didn’t need to ask for much but they were very kind and responsive. While we were planning we weren’t happy with the lack of flexibility but the staff there did try to respond as much as they could to our different requests which were mostly denied. There were many times when I regretted booking this venue because it is quite expensive and not flexible . However, after the wedding we were all thrilled with the venue, it was pretty spectacular and cool to have the wedding there. The wedding was perfect, the ceremony was held outdoors and all of our guests came up to us throughout the day and said what a fantastic time they had and how interesting and beautiful the venue was. Also in the evening you could take a moonlight stroll outside, it was just a picture perfect day. Is it a difficult venue to work with? Yes. Are there communication problems at times? Yes, but trust me it is well worth the effort. The landscaping was lovely and the view out of the reception area in the atrium was spectacular throughout the day as the sun set, it just lit up all the trees which were changing colors. Would definitely do it all over again but just be sure to be super organized and to read all the fine print so you understand all the rules and have a blast!

Beautiful venue both indoors and outdoors. The staff is professional and very helpful. The grounds are very well maintained. Absolutely beautiful place to have a wedding. Well laid out for ceremony, happy hour and reception. Multiple places to take pictures.

The mansion grounds are nice. The interior needs some updating. The reason for the low rating is the staff, they practically threw us out. There was a time discrepancy which but the manner in which the staff let us know they were done was distasteful. A few guest that were still tidying up were locked inside with the lights off. The front door was slammed closed, locked and lighting was shut off for those packing up the remaining items to be transported. No consideration. While the venue is worthy of praise, the staff are not.

Really cute historic building.. beautiful patio area lined with trees. Doorways were a bit funky stepping in and out if you have on heels. The bathrooms weren't horrible but we're great either. Loved the atmosphere. The banquet area was kind of small

Very nice place for an event (I was an attendee). Very comfy inside spaces, w nice view of the attractive golf course. I am exceedlingly bad at golf, so I can't comment on the course. Looks great, though.
