I just went to the post office and they said that anything in a padded envelope counts as a "package". They also gave me a sheet of "non-machinable surcharge" stamps when I asked for 2 oz stamps.
So PSA - I went to the USPS website and it says that it needs to be 3/4" or more to count as a package - otherwise it should be a "large envelope". It definitely wasn't over 3/4"...
I guess this is the tax I pay for being a person that will avoid confrontation at pretty much all costs. Go to a different post office if you want to be charged correctly.

I Have been waiting on a package since March 23rd and have yet to receive it.
My carrier doesn't even place people mail in the right boxes, never pleasant.

Really good customer service at this location. My local carrier also deploys from here. Stopped him as we drove past one another today to tell him how much we appreciate his consistent, good service. Not sure how regularly folks in his role hear how well they are doing (or how often any of us get positive news on the job). It should happen far more often than it does.

Put a hold mail request in last week. Made it for a day before I really needed it because every time I do I still get mail. Today I was not supposed to get mail , but yet again I did. I don’t understand why in the world they give you the option to request to hold mail but they never do as you ask. I would give zero stars if I could.

They accepted me and my family when the Severna park post office cancelled our appointment when I was in the parking lot. We’re very understanding and completed our appointment for the other office’s incompetence. Defiantly going to this location from now on.

most pleasant people work at the front desk , I go out of my way to come here just because of the excellent customer service these two give ,wish I had their names for a shout out , because they need a raise ! I've never had an issue here !

I’ve had to complain numerous times about mail being placed in the wrong boxes. Yesterday I received a message that my package was in Amazon locker from USPS and got the code. I went to the Amazon locker and the USPS worker had placed someone else’s package of someone else’s package in the locker but gave me their code. I attempted to take it to the office but saw the postal worker (white male) in his van near the office so I gave it to him and said, I live in 617 this mail clearly says 602 Mildam. That’s not even my street. He took it and said ok. Today, when I went to check the mail. The same envelope is near our mailboxes at 617 on the ground. Like ….are you stupid??? I am afraid to order anything. This post office hires people whom seem to be illiterate, don’t pay attention or SEEMINGLY DO NOT CARE!!
