Packing service by Alex, Trell, and Sell was great. Quick service with caution around items that needed it. Great communication throughout the process

I was in the Marine Corps and have been in government service my entire career, and have moved 10s of times. Two Men and a Truck is, by far, the worst moving company I have ever worked with. They were rude, inconsiderate, lazy, and refused to compensate me one cent, despite all of the problems I will list below.
The quote: The salesman was very nice! The quote went great, we scheduled the move, and they were very amicable, despite my short time frame.
The packers: This is where trouble began. They showed up the day before with two young guys who reeked of weed. They had NO idea what they were doing. They just threw things into boxes without wrapping anything. They would say they were done, then I would open a cupboard and it would be full -- they were just trying to hurry up and get out of there. They had no tools to take any mounts down or disassemble any furniture.
I was concerned our home may take two trucks. They ASSURED me that it would only take one truck.
The move: They sent the worst crew I have ever seen. They were lazy, were constantly on smoke breaks, and I ended up moving about 70% of my own stuff into the truck - just to try and get it done. They also showed up without any tools to take apart a single piece of furniture -- I actually had to lend them my tools. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't - they had no idea what they were doing and caused us to throw away an awesome bunkbed because they mangled it so badly.
About halfway through the day, they tell me that they think it's going to take two trucks. I call their operations guy, Eric, and he is outright rude and claims that I have more items than my quote. I count my boxes and items, and it's well under my quote. Eric maintains that I was wrong and that I must've miscounted - it was a disgusting way to treat a customer and I'm blown away that he is in customer service.
We (finally) get to the destination, and the crew completely shuts down. They're lazy and I end up unloading the entire truck -- I literally just put all the boxes in the garage just to get them out of there because they were literally doing nothing. They were bickering and cussing at each other - in front of my 5yo daughter. It was painfully awkward, and they finally left.
I call Eric the next morning. Amazingly, he continues to claim that my items were more than quoted. Despite all of this - including pictures of my items - TWO MEN AND A TRUCK REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME A SINGLE CENT. To this day, they have taken zero responsibility for this embarrassment of a moving service.
The receipt: After the move, I needed a receipt to get reimbursed by my company. Seems simple, right?
It took me a month and 22 emails to get a simple receipt from Two Men and a Truck for my move. First, they sent me a receipt - including credit card number - from some random person that wasn't me. I let them know that, and they continue to not be able to send me an itemized receipt. Finally, weeks later, they admit that the moving crew incorrectly charged me at the end of the move and they were not able to give me an itemized receipt. Luckily, my company accepted an email from Two Men and a Truck just stating: "XXXX paid XXXX for the purpose of moving with Two Men and a Truck". It's 2024, and I'm blown away that is what we had to resort to.
Of all my moves, this is by far the worst.
I have already steered over 10 employees away from them, and I will continue to spread the word to anyone that will listen. If you have any questions, or would like to chat more about it and/or see my texts/receipts from them, please reach out and I'd be more than happy to share!

"A Complete Nightmare with Two Men and a Truck – Avoid at All Costs!"
I had the absolute worst moving experience with Two Men and a Truck in Maryland, and I want to share my story to warn others. My move was a disaster from start to finish, causing thousands of dollars in damages, overwhelming stress, and a complete lack of care or professionalism.
On August 27, 2024, the company sent two packers to my home. They rushed through the job, leaving my home office and storage closets completely unpacked. To make matters worse, the packers were careless – mixing liquids like bleach and detergent with clothing, throwing items into boxes without care, and damaging many of my belongings. Despite paying extra for wardrobe boxes, my clothes were thrown into boxes instead of hung. The lack of care was shocking for a company that claims to be professional movers.
The nightmare continued on August 31, when a different team showed up to move my items. They were visibly frustrated that they had to complete the packing, which led to them handling my belongings roughly – they broke my son’s TV, threw things into the truck, and refused to place boxes and furniture in the proper rooms in my new home. None of the furniture was reassembled, despite paying for that service.
When I contacted the company, I spoke to a manager named Chris, who promised to investigate and follow up. Not only did I never receive a resolution, but I was also charged an additional $1,832.83 on October 10, 2024, without my authorization or any explanation. This unauthorized charge was beyond frustrating, as I had already been overcharged for the packing services as well.
Their customer service was dismissive and rude when I tried to resolve these issues. I feel completely scammed by Two Men and a Truck. This experience has caused immense financial loss, anxiety, and stress for me and my family. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.
If you’re considering Two Men and a Truck for your move, please reconsider. Their lack of professionalism, care, and transparency left me with significant damages and unresolved issues. Moving is already stressful enough – don’t add to it by choosing this company.
Avoid at all costs!

I used this service for both moving and hauling and can say not one bad thing about them. The hauler was a bit late but made it up in the price. The customer service on both sides was hands down top notch, they were polite and professional young men. I was very impressed. Service was delivered timely, they took care of my belongings and did everything quickly.

I agree with a review from a month ago from Michelle Ragen
The experience with 2 men and a truck was very disappointing.
Talked with them July 31 for quote. Scheduled for move Sept 5. Everything went smooth.
On the move date the facility cancelled my move twice (Sept 28 for the first move rescheduled d/t one of 8 movers being in accident, Sept 30 was cancelled b/c one of 8 called out sick). I was frustrated but what could I do. Life happens & I still had to move. I had to reschedule to see my family (note this was after I was deployed overseas with army) and talked with landlord to stay extra 3 days which was + $280. Now imagine doing this twice.
3rd time was great. Oct 3, three workers showed and they were fantastic. They also sent like customer representative to make sure it was good but I was just happy they finally showed.
Everything went great but the problem is that they said they will apply inconvenience & veteran discount after I put security deposit of $715 (cost estimate was $400-700). Monthly free for storage is $75 per month.
They charged me the full $715. The monthly is now two storage of $150. I found this out Oct 5th.
Emailed & texted but they call instead of replying.
This has been the most exhausting move thus far in my life. Making it 2 star because movers here are awesome.

We needed furniture moved from Mt Airy to Frederick and it was too much to move ourselves. We were able to get this scheduled very quickly. Super nice movers, they were very careful with our belongings. Highly recommended!

I’ve moved four times in 9 years and I’ve always used Two Men and a Truck. My most recent move was seamless. Quick, organized, and no damage. I highly recommend.

Our two movers Lawrence and Larry we top notch. They arrived on time loaded our belongings for a trip to Upstate NY. Both were professional and really cared about getting our stuff set up. I would recommend those two anytime. Also Cydney from Two Men and a Truck help set up our move and it went according to plan.

I have used two men and a truck before and had great experiences but I had a truly terrible experience with the Baltimore company last week. They have completely ignored the problems, refused to help solve the problems they created, and not communicated when they said they would. I am incredibly disappointed.
To start, they were supposed to pack our house and move to the new house a few miles away. They left the original house a disaster! Boxes I had packed were dumped out and left spilled on the ground. My child's room was left strewn with toys and clothes all over the place. About 40% of the stuff was just not moved at all! They left trash from their lunch and the moving materials all over the entire house. They used the bathrooms and didn't flush. They left the exterior doors open wide open and unlocked. I have pictures and videos of all of this which the Operations Manager saw and disregarded. I had to hire another moving company to finish the job.
When I talked to Christopher Young on 8/31 he assured me he would work with me to fix this. He agreed it was unacceptable and wanted to talk to his crew before resolving it with me on 9/3. He said that the final amount would not exceed $2700. On 9/3 my husband had to call him and he said he still had not talked to the head of the moving team, Alpha. He wrote us an email saying he would call tomorrow. He did not call. On 9/5 our credit card was charged for over $3000-- with no conversation! We tried to get in touch and they were not responsive. They refused to negotiate and would not do any of the things they promised on 8/31.
I understand that bad experiences happen but I am incredibly disappointed in the response from a company that prides itself on word of mouth recommendations and repeat customers. I would like to know if there is anything that can be done--- my family has lost significant time and money because of this poor service.

Great job by the crew. I would recommend everyone who is moving to give them a call. Thanks again for everything.
